Because while we have this nicer FOV now I'd rather not have them limit the view for something because of style. That, and you only have the one helmet in campaign to consider and design for, not the number of helmets that are in multiplayer.

Man, I wish I was around during the Halo 2 days. That thread seems so peaceful and nice. I mean, I got the game on release, but back then I was effectively an Internet virgin.

Someone mentioned Rocket Hog Race on the last page. I think it's horrible as well but standard Mongeese only Rocket Race is fun in small doses. It shall be missed.

Anyways, about the amount of experience between ranks, try to remember that non-linear != random. From one rank to the next, the amount of exp needed could be a set percentage of the amount needed for the previous rank, or a set percentage of the total exp earned (exponential). There are many other explanations other than "random", its just that our minds are trained to look for linear patterns.

The halo 1 threads were pretty fun because no one realized just how good the game was when it came out

Now there's all this expectation

When halo 2 came out nobody knew what to expect, either. The game seemingly left only one or two threads. Now we know so many things and everybody has a different expectation everything.

I think we are all nuts, we are all vultures. I am gonna stop complaining and start celebrating the release of halo 4.

I forget sometimes as fans we can let our emotions run wild but we are still fans, regardless of the idiotic vitriol we spew.

This clarity is good. Would like to find the Campaign menu that's clear as this, but not taken by pirates & shitty cameras in 2012.

Are they locked to a specific set of armour or can they be applied to any set?

Looking at this bulletin from September where BS Angel talks about the content included in each version of the game. she says:
  • In-Game Prime Armor Skin
  • In-Game Prime Weapon Skin - Assault Rifle

The fact that it specifies that the weapon skin is specific to the AR, but makes no such qualifying statement for the Prime Armour Skin makes me think that armour skins can be applied to any armour set. Is this correct?

I'm sure this has been confirmed one way or the other, but I can't remember which.

The skin that comes with LE (called "Prime") can only be applied to the recruit armour. It's total ballzacks.

Dammit. I don't praise everything you know. Just the things in the game I like. There are things don't agree with believe it or not. :p

I guess I could manage worse than everyone thinking I'm in bed with 343. Although you just caused my Xbox Live inbox to fill up by the mere sarcastic mention that I have any association with anything 343i or Halo.

I was going to say MegaZord over Voltron, but I like the reference.

I can't even remember if I paid in full on my pre-order or not. Really wish I just had it shipped so I don't have to peel my loose skin off the doritos dusted couch from playing reach until it arrives.

Only thing that could be a spoiler is the mission name, but then again I have no idea why.

Although I can't say posting images from leaks is allowed or not. I'm not sure the official rule.
