That's not what I mean, you sausage. I got tired of seeing her everywhere, in fan art, in avatars, all the stupid meat and steak references... When I see people posting about how amazing and hot she is, it drops my opinion of the character because I associate her with those idiot posts.

Cj, those scenarios are more significant than that, what with expanding the Persona fiction greatly, AND adding some awesome bonus bosses against various lovecrafts, etc.

Whichever way you swing it the P4 content is still great. It's not like I hate the Golden as an overall package (I'd give it about 8/10), I just don't like the new stuff.

It's the exact same size it was in P4. If you think there's anything to explore beyond the two new shops, you're in for a disappointment. :p

The thing is, there shouldn't be any blame. Everybody will probably like Chie. More for the army, I suppose. Now, when somebody dislikes something because it's popular... well, I can't think of anything more insecure at the moment :/

The female protagonist story was exactly the same thing as the male one, but with written dialog changed in the social links to reflect the change from male to female. I enjoyed it but your definition of 'significant' is interesting if you think that new locales and game modes are worth less than reworked social link dialog.

In struggling to think of anything significant about the female story that would give it more weight than all of the changes to gameplay alone in P4G

No offense, but its this stuff, the Chie army, I remember this at P4A launch. You are free to like the character, but I swear like 70% of the time I see you in a Persona topic, its something about Chie man!

Anyways, on pre-order. This along with VLR and Gravity Rush were the reasons I got a Vita Day 1. That I sold off and replaced with an Assasin's Creed Bundle despite having played none of those games. So I really didn't need a day 1 Vita. But I'm ready to roll again!

The ton of new social links, for a start? A whole new playable character with multiple outfits. The entire span of dialogue altered to fit the female protagonist.

I'm a bit fuzzy on 'all the gameplay changes' though. There are some new moves... What else?

no way man, the anime kept putting those Yosuke saving Yu clips, and the whole Yu crying on yosuke. They did have scenes of everyone having a crush on Yu (except Kanji I think) though...and P4A sort of makes Chie like someone else if I recall...


What would Chie ever need a lawyer for? In case one of the legion of tanks she sent into space decided to sue her for physical abuse?....or more likely, in case Yosuke ever decides to? Besides, I bet Chie would just ask you to step down, and when you decide to question her, she would just state "I am the law."

Plus the fact that P3P is utter SHIT. And a point and click downgraded RPG lessor version of an actual good game.

P4G having all the console features and more still make it leaps and bounds better. As per.

Inclined to agree that P4G plays better... The new content is still much more significant in P3P. Shinjiro's and Saori's S Links? The best, Jerry.

Playing P3P now, I enjoy it but I wish it was a full fledged title, P4G going to be bearific.

Ton of new social links? If you mean the new clubs, that seems really minor to me. In-school social links are pretty unexciting by my book. And why do you consider new outfits worth mentioning but you ignore the graphical features of P4G? If you like outfits, Golden should win hands down.

When I say gameplay changes I mean that you go about the non-dungeon aspects of P4 differently because with night time exploring, Okina station and the beach, as well as the bug catching, coffee shop and movie theatre additions, different fishing and re-worked quests, you're not able to go through the game in the same manner as P4 OG. You also have to work the new social links into your play schedule, and in particular Adachi has the forking paths depending on how you play.

Just you, it was even more obvious then the game that the pairing wasn't on.

Chie x Youske was the anime pairing. Rise is officially official now.

It is all moot anyway, Yukari will steal his heart the moment they meet in P5.

Y'know? The original games might be awesome, but the gameplay... dear god. Normally, I don't complain about battle systems in jRPGs or the difficulty (I have played and completed 3&4 in Maniac and Hard, respectively) but P2IS is the only game that I have dropped due to that. It's just that it hasn't aged well at all. Maybe if Atlus had updated the battle system, and ONLY the battle system, we wouldn't have had the situation that we have right now with the P2 duology.

And I think that right now I'm just throwing more fuel to the fire, but w/e.

On-topic: OP, you jumped the gun WAY too early to post this.

I really enjoyed P2, outside of the battle system, and those random battles. I can't do those anymore.

You're both wrong. The anime was totally Yu x Yosuke. Straight up. Chie was the side girl both of them shared.

I agree. I loved Xenoblade, but it got repetitive pretty quickly, and I have no desire to play through it again. Whereas with Persona 4, I've played through it 3 or 4 times, and am highly looking forward to playing through it again.

And there are new events and new voices and new cutscenes and new characters and new moves and new personas and new environments both in and outside of the TV and new ways to interact with people online. What is going on in your head if you don't see any new content besides two social links and a dungeon?

Allowing you to play third semester additionally is already the enough reason to play P4G, even if you have already finished original P4.

And, to reveal the true identity of Marie you must finish the game twice.
