PC players - Anyone have a random FPS drop on Meltdown? Have 120FPS on every other map but drops to 40FPS on MD...

It really isn't. Every CoD has a semi-automatic single-shot rifle and they always kill in 2-3 shots.

That's good, i'm strongly considering buying a copy now because i'm afraid the nuketown 2025 won't be available as dlc later. My fears are probably unfounded but still.

Don't agree. they are COD 4 style.
each team spawns on 1 general side of the map, if your team doesn't go to their side you will never have a problem. 1 guy in their spawn area messes it up.

No, theyre fucking awful. Big difference between how IW does them. Man, ive had enemies spawn literally right in front of me. That never happened to me in MW2 or 3.
Just check ijustines gaming channel and her first youtube BO2 video. The game starts with the counter and there's already one guy in front of her that she sees and the game hasn't even started yet! Literally right beside her. Terrible.
Hence spawns are horrible.
Seriously, if I could hear enemy footsteps then it wouldn't be so bad but I dunno where these dudes are coming from.

It's hideously soft. So much so that it's actually putting me off playing it. I'd say the worst IQ of the series on the PS3, even worse than BO1 if that was possible.
Look likes it running at a disgustingly low resolution and they've dropped the MSAA for a cheap full screen blur filter to try and hide the jaggies.
Forcing your PS3 to output 720p is somewhat of an improvement as the PS3's blurry upscaling method to 1080p just piles even more misery onto the final IQ. Turning the in game brightness down to between 0-5 notches from the left depending on how your telly is set-up is also essential.
Those who got Hardened Edition - did you have separate codes for things like Nuketown 2025, Nuketown Zombies, etc? Or was it one code for all content?
I just scored a copy of Hardened and I am hoping I can include the Nuketown 2025 code from it with my regular edition when I sell it.

I'm going to be honest until you told us it was single fire I just thought it was a slow automatic. Do you have the SCAR yet? I'm curious what kind of stats it has since the SMR effectively identical to how the SCAR behaved in previous games.
It fires at what feels like 450-500rpm still and there is a ton of recoil. I can basically control FAL ROF to keep recoil minimum but on auto it isn't possible. Good OH SHIT hip fire mode but not worth the point to get a 2nd or 3rd attachment if that's the one you're picking imo.

3 was by far the worst, multiple times people would spawn directly infront of somebody you're already shooting at.

I don't think I've seen so many different opinions on a game before. Either people love it, or they hate it. Still debating on whether to get this. The last CoD game I played was MW2, but I will be playing this weekend at a friends house so I will decide then to buy or not.
I've had the same issue as well.

At least once or twice in every match I have spawned taken one or two steps and then died.

Oh ya? Man ive played it a lot and it never happened to me. But in BO2 its already happened within a day. Not good odds.

As somebody whose last COD was MW2 I really love this game. I think it might be better than COD4, but that might be the hype talking. Its my first Treyarch COD too.
It wasn't as persistent in BlOps 1. Tends to happen to me a few times in each map.

When are you getting back on? Let's play Hardpoint - it's a fun mode that gets everyone moving.
This is why I only play Demolition. Never anyone spawning in your back, nor revenge spawns, unless you try to be an opportunist in the enemy spawn. The objective is a lot of fun too.

I recall one map I played getting a bit sluggish but don't recall which one it was.

Hard to say, probably about 5-6+ hours
much longer than MW2's 2.5 at least.
