BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma announced, coming to PS3

Honestly I couldn't be happier with Izayoi and Tsubaki getting all the attention.

Given the storyline of Noel trying to save her though, why do some think it would be Jin fighting the final boss instead of Noel/Mu?

First one is Calamity Trigger, now we've got Chrono Phantasma. If the next one is Extreme Cross, I'm officially going to staple a tin foil hat to my head.

Some new information about Izayoi, translated by hakimiru of dustloop:

- Mode change character, has a special meter.
- Drive is called "Scarlet Justice", using it shifts her into Gain Art mode. D returns her to normal mode.
- Seems to play a long distance zoning game while gaining Reishiki (Zero Weave?) meter, and then switches to Gain Art mode for the offensive.
- Gain Art mode seems to grant high speed movement and improved specials.

According to both hakimiru and SoWL of dustloop, some of Izayoi's moves have been revealed:

One is her DD is called: Justice Phorizer, which is a quick, long reaching sword thrust. Performing it with her overdrive increases the range and damage.

One of her specials is called: Sonic Saber. The normal version sends out a high speed projectile sword for zoning (think Nu's D) while the Gain Art version has additional swords that come out and lock the opponent in place (think Nu's D w/ Labrys' weaver sword property)

Also, her OD, Freedom Justice increases the zoning game potential of her normal mode. Unsure of whether or not it affects her Gain Art mode.

Also note that Izayoi's emblem is not the Chronophantasma emblem. So there's a safe bet that it's another character's that'll probably be revealed for the home console version.

Yeah, skipped Extend while waiting for what I saw was the true sequel to BlazBlue Continuum Shift. Really can't wait to play this. Bang changes don't have me super excited but instant Furinkazan is a ridiculously awesome concept to me.

Taokaka already checked ..according to her , it's great but litchi is still the best.

Maybe se got a slight upgrade this time LOL.

Should be interesting Storywise since Tsubaki has gone thru some bullshit.

Because Jin is the reason she is doing all this shit (new form not withstanding since we have no idea about that just yet) and possibly the one that can get her out of this funk (though i think they will let Noel do it herself since she's now focused and Tsubaki "hates" her

Well I know about the first part, but even with
How sad and angry Tsubaki is at herself right before the end, combine that with how Noel is the one they seem to be placing the importance on when it comes to Tsubaki really makes me doubt Jin. I know Tsubaki loved Jin, and of course Hakumen, but still the relationship with Noel seems far more important in current time to both Tsubaki and saving Tsubaki from Izayoi.

I believe this is the last bit of info that dustloop was able to glean from the famitsu article on Izayoi

-Drive meter holds 8 stocks
-Drive meter is accumulated by having specials hit or be blocked.
-Overdrive automatically gives meter, similar to Tsubaki Yayoi's overdrive.
-Izayoi builds up meter by doing moves in normal mode, and then she can switch to her other mode, which then consumes the meter. I think it was the normal mode is long range, and the special mode is about quick moves with lots of movement

Irrelephant info: Carl sounds really angry now when fighting.

So if Kokonoe and Saya are being added for the home version like someone mentioned earlier, that's 6 new characters.

Azrael, Amane, Bullet, Izayoi, Kokonoe, Saya.

Missing potential characters are Tenjo's Son, Jubei, Phantom, Celica.

It would fitting and be another way to show Jin changing but it possibly might end up on the backburner due to him trying to learn to master his sword first (which would be unfortunate on one hand and interesting on the other since IIRC they seem to be pushing that he would be Boss as fuck if he wasn't under the influence so much). If he does nothing then hopefully Hakumen berates him about it LOL

Also i agree Noel seems to be the one who will do it instead since the situation is making her focused/driven (for the first time imo) and they really have some stuff to clarify/sort out.

Looking forward to see how this story pans out.

I don't know.

Maybe it just me? Personally Jin and Tsubaki have the least compelling storyline in BlazBlue, and I say this with them being my two favorites. Linking them at this point to me has a big chance of being incredibly forced just because of how Jin is in the story.

Really comes across of what could have been, more then what should be. Combine that with Noel/Tsubaki being much more interesting and the shift in Tsubaki's story at the end I have to go with Noel.

Still it will be cool to see how they take it.

What makes you think Amane isn't Tenjo's son?

Jin vs. Izayoi should still be an important battle. Jin really grew in CS and he's just as motivated as Noel to save Tsubaki. The guy went from a psychotic asshole to just simply a badass. Noel's probably stronger than him at this point though. Maybe he'll set his hate for Noel aside and fight alongside her to save Tsubaki? Maybe entrust her with Tsubaki's safety? I'd certainly love to see that.

No Nine? No witches in my ASW game? This is some BS.

Edit: I missed Phantom. Phantom has to be Nine as far as I'm concerned.

So - I platinum'ed the original on PS3. Been thinking of getting the Vita port (of CS), because I never touched CS after I got it (I still have it too, sadly). I've just been playing on the go more lately.

How lost will I be if I just wait for this one to come out? I'm loving the girl who is giving Litchi a run for her money (in terms of showing off her assets). Also, is the Vita version of CS worth it? It sure does look pretty. If the trophy lists are separate, even better!

You'll be lost as hell if you skip CS/Extend. The story is huge. The PS3 and Vita trophies for the game are indeed separate.

Liking the remixed themes, even the old songs I didn't really like before like Bang's sound pretty good.

Hakumen's day1 combos look pretty varied already, and I love his combos using CT. I'm gonna enjoy his meter gain buff. Bang looking a bit better than I expected and best of all, he has his old BBCT color back.

Here's Bang's new super in action
