In fact, I had Arkham City idle on my TV last night and was blown away... it just hit me how far we've come since the 8-bit days when I was playing games back on the NES/SMS/Atari/Commodore 128.
I do not wish to drag this thread down into another round of "hey everyone, rate the Uncharted games." We've done that more than enough. And it happens just about anytime someone comes in and starts talking about Golden Abyss. I don't even really understand why marrec even asked about the console ones, as he has no PS3 to play them on (unless he was seriously considering buying one and this was going to influence his decision... sort of a "I like this, are they all this good?" or something).
And just for the record:
I personally think Uncharted 2 is hands-down the worst game in the series, but . But we've covered that in here and it basically comes down to what you expect from the game. For me it was a disappointment that was corrected with Uncharted 3. For a lot of people, the opposite is true.
It's good to have opinions and discourse on things, for certain; I'm just wary of someone kicking off the Uncharted series ranking bit again.

Sounds like it better be a native vita version of velocity or a sequel. PSM is too limited at this point.
Played through he first 15 minutes of AC3:L. God that game is awful, framerate problems galore for a game that doesn't even look that great and it seems like the story is gonna be pretty much non existent in this.

I have huge hands and haven't experienced any physical pain associated with using the Vita yet... but I'm going to get those grips as well, just seems more comfortable.
Play until you get over the tutorial section. The first part has more FPS issues and a weird filter that makes it look really weird.
Also, the game gets better once you finish the first part and are free to do what you want.

Giant Bomb may give it 2012's 2008 GOTY.
Also, portable games don't win GOTY silly.
I actually got the game for my partner as a gift since he is digging P3FES and P4A at the moment, but I will undoubtedly get into the game (and in P3FES too) when I free myself some more.

I really don't understand why everyone wants the Vita to fail so badly. It's not even like it has no games, it has more than the 3DS is currently offering and you never hear a peep about that handheld.

Just enter any vita is doomed game thread and you'll see tons of people claiming the vast amount of 3DS games, while Vita doesnt have a single good game.

I honestly have no idea where the hell the "no games" thing started. As far as i'm concerned, the thing has never had what i would class as "no good games".
The PS3's launch - now there's a console that had no good games for a year. Don't get me wrong, i loved it... but i bought about 4 games in its first year.
The Vita, i've bought about 14 full games in its first year and there are more that i want but can't afford. It's ridiculous. I have no idea how anyone can say it has no games.
I've been a 3DS owner since launch and I can effectively say that is bullshit. The Vita's launch had better games available than the 3DS's first 8 months on the market.
Yeah, the vita has many issues but certainly not the amount of good games. Trying to fight that for a while now, but its almost futile.
