If we ever got a MGS game it would be like Peace Walker or a companion game with different content (so that you would be motivated to play both versions). They push the hardware too much in that series for it to make sense. I think we're more likely to see a game like Borderlands where you could remove some of the superfluous effects and have only a slight drop in visual quality. Part of the reason I liked MGS4 was because of how great it looked which isn't the case for some other games where I don't feel the graphics matter that much to the enjoyment.
Lol watch and see. Everyone is saying aww man yeah can't wait blah blah but wait and see it will be a Vita game isn't Kojima the King of trolling? Could just be the Fox Engine optimized for Vita.

Trials Evo is the best 'downloadable' this year. Followed by journey. (I'm not counting walking dead)

Has anyone played SFxT on Vita? how is it compared to the PS3 version? I read the IGN review and they said it did a bad job in comparison to Marvel(graphics wise) and I don't even think Marvel was that well done....

I can't imagine a scenario where their publisher would allow such misinformation to be spread purposefully about what platform the game is on for the sake of "trolling". These are people dealing with millions of dollars here, not children. The cost of the backlash for such an action isn't worth the risk for stupidity.
Oh, right, Persona 4 and Gravity Rush. But yeah, I haven't played Gravity Rush full yet but it's not a "blockbuster"/system seller for me. What got me to upgrade from the first PSP was Persona 4. Sorry Carl. You may proceed to cry.
I am actually not THAT passionate about Blobs. Carl is, though. Its a great game, but I'd take Motorstorm RC or Sound Shapes over it.

I've been holding off on Sound Shapes because it's still $20 on our store (and to be honest, I've already got too much backlog on the Vita anyway). Motorstorm RC was seriously cool.
After pretty much hating Apocalypse, it was the Motorstorm I needed to keep me interested in the IP.

Until the Vita gets a proper release of Peace Walker, I'll just continue to assume that the device is dead to Kojima.

I'd actually be quite happy with a proper release of Peace Walker.
I must have put ~60 hours into that game on the PSP, I'd completely buy it again for DAT OLED.

So I'm fighting Nyx in p3p
so I'm fighting away. Using Raphael as he has no weaknesses to Nyx and an awesome heal. Using other guys to do a mix of debuffing and attacking. Going well. Got to shift 8 I think. Nyx powers up the next go double power blasts me and kills me. Sigh. OK I should have defended fair enough. My fault.

You're so close to the ending, and the ending is very worth it, don't give up now. If you don't want to grind, maybe choose different party members? I have no problems beating that boss with Yukari, Mitsuru and Aigis, i.e. characters that can heal and buff you at any time. Don't use your support characters for debuffing and attacking primarily -- focus on your defence.

I'm perfectly happy with my team (ahiko, dog and yukari) it just sucks when I can be 1 shotted out of no where without warning. No healing would prevent it.
I'll just grind to 80 at some point when I can be bothered and try again then.

Anyone got any tips for Gravity Rush, Spy Pack DLC, Rift Planes Health Race. My best time is around 4'20". Gold is 3'30".

If you already lvled up then its really just a matter of learning the route by doing it over and over. Was a while since did it though.
If you are not lvled up yet just wait till you are.

Let's just hope we hear something official on it soon and it's just not a leftover from the original announcement. Cave is due out at least two retail 360 releases soon so things aren't dormant over there.
Backlash? The only result of a Vita platform reveal would be new Vita owners, however many that may be. If this actually is a Vita game, then it's really smart. Get everyone hyped for a brand new Metal Gear, then reveal the platform it's on. You think the Western media sites would be gushing and speculating and attempting to dissect the trailer on this as much or at all if it was announced as Vita from the get-go? No platform distinction lets the hype build wildly and it will be on everyone's radar.
If people want to play it, they'll buy the Vita. Think of it as a wake-up call to many dismissing an entire platform.

I'm 100% leveled up. Most of the other challenges I got good at. This one kills me... something cheap always knocking me off course or something... I think my best is 4'12"... I need to drop 42+ seconds? holy damn, never going to happen.
I would have purchased so much Japanese Vita content by now if I could play it on my US account like PS3.

God that fucking level. I got to 3"36 and then rage quit. The trick is not to use falling, but gravity kicks to get across the level.

I don't remember ever using kicks but you def need to boost while falling (pressing X I think)
Sony should've made it easier (read: paid third parties) to get big games on Vita. Welp.

I just magically managed a 3'36" or so. Fuck.
I wish they implemented a "restart challenge" option.
Bad design; if I want to quit a challenge, I have to wait for the world map to load then wait for the challenge to start again... or I have to finish the 4 minute course knowing I'm going to fail.
