Oooo, has a Pacman CE DX feel to it. Very pretty.
I may like this game.

escapeVektor launches on PlayStation Vita on December 19th, priced at 9.99/£7.99/AU$15.95.
They're also not Vita compatible. :'(Fun fact - the standalone Genesis games that were released on PSN (that had arcade versions) are the actual arcade versions, not the Genesis versions. The easiest way to tell is the music
They are really charging way too much for these. Should be £5 at the very most, and really, they should be cheaper than that. Nobody is going to pay £8 for what is essentially an iOS game.

Hey VitaGAF... got a quick hardware question for you.
If the unthinkable should happen and one's Vita screen gets scratched (even with a protector on it), is replacing the screen through a third-party component site (like this one) a viable solution to sending it in to Sony and suffering through Vita withdrawal for a whopping $129?
I get concerned with sites that employ Dr. Nick infomercial-speak for things like "FREE Pry Opening Tool Included".

So yeah, new Velocity. I'm excited. It seems as though the full reveal will be on Jan 11.
Carl will have probably already posted this by the time I hit submit, but oh well.

You were first!
It looks like many other (for example) PC Indie games (or Pacman) in terms of running on a line and trying to avoid enemies, and you wouldnt call those iOS games either.
DBT85 featured on an announcement video.
:lol
But i wasn't! HOW DARE THEY
It would be depended on the game in other words it's not likely that the current situation will change. So what do you think the odds are that the PS4 or what ever it will be called will be fully set up to do remote play to a Vita.
I kinda decided im not doing consoles any more when I sold me xbox at the beginning of the year and I possible wont upgrade my PC either. However If i can play it streamed to my vita that would almost definately change my mind.
They clearly wanted to do that with PS3 but for what ever reason it hasn't taken off. Maybe they will make sure this functionality is built into there next console?
I can only hope.
But are they £8? My point is that it's a very simple, low-budget game (Which is why I compared it to something on iOS), and they're charging nearly as much as something like Unfinished Swan, Tokyo Jungle or Journey.

Ok ok don't shoot- what is velocity?
Go buy it then come back.
It's a PSMini. Really great fun. One of the best games of the year.

I agree. Its a hidden gem with wasted potential as a Mini.
Edit: BTw, I'd love to know how many copies of Velocity/Surge Gaf managed to sell.
Glad I didn't get the mini tbh, now I can just wait for the real version ;P
I'm personally excited for the sure-to-be dramatically ramped up graphics and presentation. Also using the touchscreen where you want to transport which I brought up in that old Velocity thread.

Given how they marketed Velocity, i doubt they would use it like that. Not sure it would be fast enough anyway... You needed to be REALLY quick transporting for some of those levels.
True FuturLab lovers buy both
I wonder just how possible it is to build the kind of native gameplay that the Wii U offers for the gamepad over 802.11n wireless - that will be the problem. If you can't get the latency right down it's not going to be worth it for games. Nintendo had to make "concessions" in terms of distance and line of sight as it is, and that was designed from the ground up for this functionality.Thats not necessarily true. Currently, it depends on the game, but Sony could very well make it an OS level feature (like on Wii U), where every game would be able to support it. Depends how high of a priority it is for Sony I guess.
I still they they have a fundamental problem with Remote Play functionality. I've messed around with playing PS1 games on Vita, and it's already annoying having to use either touch for L2/R2, especially when you need to hold it down. Yeah I know it's the same as PSP which I got used to, but it's still not ideal. I can already imagine my frustration if I had to incorporate L3/R3 into that as well.
Vita doesn't have enough buttons to make RP viable for me

Buy warranty from Squaretrade. 30% off all the time. I paid around $29 for 3 year accident replacement warranty.

I would want it optional of course but to me it would seem faster if you just tap a spot on the screen and get transported instead of having to move the analog stick where you want to transport.
What about remote play over bluetooth? PS3 controllers are pretty lag free. Use bluetooth for the controls and gakai video for the video stream.
Would probably be bandwidth starved:

At least if we are speaking about native 540p
I need a Vita for this game. XD
Not sure if this has been posted before but the Vita version of DOA5 looks surprisingly good. It's even running at 60fps.

Anyone getting this error code when trying to use near?

why does the vita not have a streaming app? watching twitch.tv on the vita would be so awesome!
