How often does Grasshopper Manufacture release a game? Sine Mora was this year also, correct? What about that Black Knight game?

Am I the only one who is more or less annoyed by characters like this? With this pose? It just seems incredibly unappealing.

I hate this pose/design too, it reminds me of the girl of Sonic 06

btw this is the first Suda51 game since NMH that i am interested in, looks reeeeaaally good.

Wanna hear a good joke? Waste your time helping me! LOL!
Day 1, looks incredible. A mix of Killer 7 and NMH sounds fantastic.

I feel like I've been waiting for this game since the beginning of this generation. That's definitely around the time when the first No More Heroes trailer released. A game with that aesthetic is finally here.

Here's a link to the NMH trailer. (Link)

Killer is Dead looks to be way more intense. I can't wait to see all of this in motion!

God the fluidity of that... If only platinum could handle the mechanical/animation side of this, with grasshopper on aesthetics/story/music. A collaboration like that would make my mind explode

The last game Suda 51 directed was No More Heroes [he didn't even direct the sequel], and before that, Killer 7. That's why the later games [Shadows of the Damned, Lollipop Chainsaw] felt different.

Now that Suda 51 is once again directing for Killer is Dead, I have very...very high hopes for it. It's easily one of the top titles I'm most excited for in 2013.

Of course, I also enjoyed No More Heroes 2 [although it wasn't as good as its predecessor], Shadows of the Damned, and Lollipop Chainsaw.

I keep forgetting this, and think it should probably be emphasized.

I know he didn't direct Shadows of the Damned but that game was pretty damn great. Lollipop Chainsaw was....eh I couldn't really like it and I tend to love everything this man's name is attached to.

Can't wait for this one, so glad to see he's actually taking a direct role behind this game. Kinda lame that it's following the same plot as No More Heroes pretty much but still I like the Killer 7 look it has.

i didn't day 1 Lolipop Chainsaw, but i think i gotta for this one. honestly, hoping for yakuza 5 by the fall/winter (?), and i hope these 2 titles fight for my 2013 GOTY.

Will be getting this game.

And just the other day I was contemplating buying NMH 1 and 2, though I don't own a Wii.

i want to love this, but i must admit the art style is gross looking. and i loved the k7 aesthetic.

At the very least the game looks visually INCREDIBLE. I hope it plays well, though, I had a hard time getting into Killer 7 and to a lesser extent No More Heroes.

You think it's great.

looks like i'm in the minority here. the bloomed, lens flared, garish colored, everything is plastic, cel-shaded look is gross muddy town.

k7 had a clean, high contrast look with strong color palette. this looks like they've piled every post gimmick they had.

Right on, but then again, playing NMH, I was always felt Grasshopper was just a hair off greatness.
Maybe this is the one they finally knock out of the park?

This looks pretty much like No More Heroes 3. Hopefully we won't have to wait long for an english release, I don't know how reliable Kadokawa Games are in that regard.

I could do without the sexualized female jumpsuit and the 20-year old with knocked knees together and feet apart. Especially the latter annoys me to no end.

Otherwise, the game looks very interesting and I really dig the art style (minus the overuse of bloom).
This post doesn't make any sense to me. The game seems to be very visually inspired by sleazy Japanese action cinema of the 60-70sish, and trashy jumpsuits are one of those things you'd see. It's like saying "i dig the art style but i could do without a key visual element" -- what.

Well, it's a mish mash of NMH and K7 for sure, but it's styles and effects, not gimmicks.

I can see how it can be jarring, in a way everyone looks like Hakan from SF4 covered them in oil, but to me they stopped short of making everyone look like wet plastic. Except for the hair, it kinda makes me think of Tamara De Lempicka.

Deco-punk? Punco?

You don't get what he's saying? He just means he'd prefer they apply the art style -- as in the cel-shading, the shininess, the color palette, etc -- to other subject matter, involving other fashion sensibilities, etc.
