Though MKIA was before the readjustment of #'s this spring.
Realistically CMB is still 15 million AI (or so) AI below MKIA's peak.......it is coming though.

I agree. They should completely edit out any trace of the fight, and give the American people a classy show. This isn't the Flavor of Love, and these two queens should not be portrayed in such a trashy manner.

Yeah. I think Idol really needs to keep it VERY classy and proffesional to draw a stark contrast between itself and its competition. Let people see it as the Grammy's compared to The Void (AMA's) and Flop Factor (VMA's).

Excuse you. I think The Voice strikes the perfect balance between class and entertainment.
X-Factor is #TryHard in every conceivable way and Idol, frankly, has just been a damn boring show these last few seasons.
Of course, the judges' panel is only part of the problem with Idol, but I think it would be good for Idol to encourage personality from its judges (even if it leads to the occasional squabble). I do think they should avoid outright exploiting the ladies, though.

160-170 million was its peak
CMB is doing OK in digital sales overall. Its itunes ranking has roughly matched it airplay ratings (around 20th right now). CMB, MKIA, and Already Gone all followed this very similar path on the charts before eventually being considered successes.

I don't want my faves to be portrayed as trashy divas, or uneducated fools... like Beyonce and Rihanna. I think the fight, if shown in full, will be damaging to one or both of them, and I am not here for it. I need Nicki to capture America's heart, and get some new stans.

The Voice doesn't work for me from the very start with its auditions (pretending that not being able to see contestants changes anything......when what they end up with is a far more standard and generic group of finalists than ANY other show). Its auditions also feel more rigged than any of its competitors. I also think the idea of "teams" cheapens the concept dramatically. I hate the way that the judges banter back and forth and make everything about themselves. (also have the problem with X Factor).
The Voice was better than Factor last season (though Factor's format I found to be more entertaining), but neither have anything in King Idol.

Actually, I think The Voice ends up with the most consistent group of finalists of any show. Especially last season. I think the case could be made that they tend to lack "exciting" contestants, but due to the process I think they end up with more solid contestants. Last season, while X Factor AND Idol had episodes that were literally painful to watch because all except maybe two contestants were just god awful, The Voice had entire episodes that played like mini concert specials because all of the contestants, while maybe not mind-blowing, were at least competent. When I'm watching a singing competition, that's primarily what I'm looking for.

Not really talking about vocal skills (which I agree The Voice dominated Factor....Idol maybe.)
What I was getting at was that by not seeing the contestants you would THINK that the finalists would end up having more variety than the other shows when it comes to looks/body types/weights/etc. Yet their finalists all ended up standard popstar fair for the most part with a handful of exceptions (the one guy with the beard lol). Which essentially makes the convoluted audition process pointless.
Also I still watch reality singing shows for the stars they produce....which The Voice has not done (and doesn't seem horribly interested in doing).

...and like it or not Harry still gets more lead time than Zayn....and Liam can still outsing him. Liam just gets put on doing harmonies/falsetto's/etc because he is the only one in the group who can do them properly
