Ok seriously, i just got an email from Bamco saying my order is cancelled because i did not pay , WTF ! i remember entering my credit card info and getting an email to confirm it, i checked by credit card and it was not charged yet .
I ordered like 5-10 minutes after the restock
I also remember ordering at first with Paypal and this order is still up , is there a way to pay with Paypal on a already opened order ?
Oh yeah and let me say this is the worst place ever to order stuff website is a mess ....

Are you sure the Paypal one isn't the one that was cancelled? I did the same thing (tried Paypal, failed, tried again with credit card, ended up with two orders, one paid one not, and they cancelled the first Paypal attempt one).
Hopefully this is what has happened to you ys45, otherwise we might all be in for a wild ride.

I actually never got an auth charge for a CapitalOne card back in July and I ordered like the day after it was announced back then.
Ahh ok so not so strange then, I have ordered this with a Captial One last week no charge for me yet.

I think only certain cards were charged for authorizing last time around. They'll probably start charging everyone in full in a few days.

I have spoken with DR recently, and every time they told me I will not see a charge until the item is shipped. This was in response to asking if I would see a new authorization charge after canceling/reordering.
As for PayPal users, it clearly said "pay now" when using the PayPal option. The other choices did not say this.

That is actually par for the course with PayPal. Often times they accept payment immediately. This can work for your advantage in some cases if something is heavy and shipping has to be upgraded but they already charged you so you get the next level of shipping for free!

You can still preorder the thing regularly on amazon.de... I guess that wouldn't be the case if it was sold out? At least I hope so. I had it ordered for months, then canceled it due some stupid mistake and re-ordered it three weeks ago. Hope to get it.

I got one preordered there as well, but i've been debating with myself for days whether i'll cancel it or not. 52€ is a pretty steep premium compared to getting just the game from the UK, considering I really only want the book and don't care much for the plushie or the dlc. Also, that humongous rating logo on the box bothers me to no end and i doubt it's removable. I might end up pre-ordering it on amazon.co.uk if i get in on time, even though shipping to my country will make it even more expensive. >.<
I wish they sold the book separately. By the way, can anyone here link me to a video of someone flipping through the in-game version of the Wizard's Companion? I wanted to go into the game as fresh as possible, so i barely watched any footage to avoid getting spoiled.

Shop2 got banned due to their credit card database getting hacked and never telling their customers about it, thus ban. I believe they've tried to get themselves unbanned from GAF but yeah...still banned...

i would advise do not call digital river for any reason. i called to see if i could get a headsup on when they may be shipping and billing and the customer service rep told me my order would not ship because it has been cancelled. i became absolutely irate as i ordered this 5-6 months ago during the ninostarter purchase period. i immediately asked to speak with her manager and she told me that it has been cancelled but she relunctantly let me speak with her manager. he told me it was all a big misunderstanding and my order was not cancelled and it should ship sometime before friday.
i cannot believe customer service can be this terrible. i would advise everyone to leave digital river alone and just cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Yeah the Namco shop website + Digital River has been a real headache. Really makes you appreciate Amazon which does pretty much everything right.

i don't get all these hate for the website. the moment i ordered the WEs, payment was charged right then and there. got two emails both from paypal and namco for each order, and i've never had any problems looking up on the order status.

Speaking of the Namco store/Digital River being a disaster am I the only one who can't see his order invoice online? I can log into my account and see my preorder in my order history but if I click the invoice link or try to search for my order status I get a server error.

as for people with issues. i think people that paid with debit/credit cards are just worried about the billing process due to the whole preorder hold stunt this company pulled 6 months ago.
Shopto after the credit card fiasco has been great. Nothing wrong with the shop. The ban should be lifted imo.
It's because you used Paypal. With a Paypal transaction, money goes to the site immediately on checkout. If you used a regular CC transaction, you'd get an authorization at the time of order, then they'd finally go back and charge whenever they shipped. This is a problem if, for example, your wallet has been stolen in the meantime and the CC they're expecting to charge is no longer valid. On a decent web portal, you just go in and change the payment for the order. On the Namco/Digital River clusterfuck, it's less certain. You have to call them, and they may or may not be able to make the change.

This is my first experience with Digital River/Namco store but it certainly makes me not want to use them again. The site barely works and It's impossible to find out exactly what I'll be paying come tonight. I pre-ordered back in September and have my confirmation emails but by now I've forgotten how much shipping was among other things. To be fair though I should have written this down at the time. Hope it arrives within a week although given how long ago I put my order down I think it should have been here by tomorrow. But perhaps Amazon has just spoiled me.

Yeah same. My order is $111.86. As long as they really ship before or on Friday I'll be good. I'm moving into another apartment February and will probably be fully moved into it by the 2nd or 3rd. So I'd like them to not be slow about it.
