Everything about RE: Revelations felt like it was designed by something like Gameloft. It's sort of reminiscent of RE4 or RE5 but not a whole lot and it doesn't seem to understand what made the series good, and I think it got away with it's many poor qualities because it was portable and by god it looked like a proper RE game.

I'm placing my money that the console port will be in the 60s or low 70s on Metacritic.

Exclusivity on a game by game basis, I can understand...but Capcom basically swearing off Vita for how many years? Yeah....that's more a Sony problem then anything.




That was quite a different situation, as PS2 was doing just fine without RE4. Not saying Revelations is some kind of system seller, but it's a well known franchise skipping out on the Vita, when it needs as much big franchises as possible.

Yep, I'm feeling the same way. Once DOA5+ and Soul Sacrifice are out, I'm set for hundreds of hours of Vita playtime for years to come.

The only one that worries me is PSO2. Though the game would fill an obvious gap in the Vita's lineup, MMOs are damn expensive to maintain, especially since any localization means that Sega of America would have to support the Vita version with patches years after the system is dead just to maintain cross-play PC parity.

But if we do get PSO2 here, my Vita trifecta will be complete and will have made the system, however commercially unsuccessful, worth the price I paid for it.

I didn't want to end this blessed thread on a down note, so I will conclude by demanding that each and every single one of you fence-sitters lurking this thread take a leap of faith and enter the brave new world of legitimately console quality games in your pocket. It's really an amazing little machine with something for (mostly) everyone.

I can't be the only person who got the Vita for MLB, right? As long as they release it or roster updates then I'm good to go. Well, I also really wanted HSG and Ninja Gaiden for on the go purposes.

I ordered it from play-Asia 4th jan. didn't ship til the 11th. still not here. Getting dangerously close to Ni No Kuni time and I can't play both at the same time :/

I didn't get a Vita for MLB but I sure have been playing a hell of a lot of Road to the Show recently. I just want fancy presentation during games like on PS3!

According to the lead designer, Shadow Wars not coming to iOS was more Ubisoft wanting to turn it into a free to play game, and the dev team being unable to find a good way to make that work.

I barely get the intricacies of baseball, I don't have a clue as to what pitches I should use and when, I can't understand batter or pitcher frequencies, how the outfield are positioned and how I should aim my hits (hell I don't even know how to aim in 2K for example)

But, I loved the Show on PS3 and PSP, will be getting 13 myself.

im from the US. grew up playing little league. hate to watch baseball/follow it. and refuse to touch any baseball game.

you probably wont like it.

the only way i can see you enjoying it is if you prefer to manage and sim more than actually play...but even then you'd have to understand the league and how single A, AA, AAA works, and drafting, etc.

if you list you library im sure you can find other games worthy of your money though. :)

that said, if you want to try it go for it.

I hate watching baseball! So boring.
Playing baseball/softball can be fun, but in a game? I just don't like sports games in the first place. I'm certainly not going to bore myself to sleep/death with baseball. ;)

Odd. I'm on the latest as far as I know and it's 2.02... the update history on that is off too, most of those features are already live.

most likely not, MLB the show is a baseball game for baseball fans. If you learned the basics there is a chance you could enjoy it, especially if you really like rpgs or micromanagement as the road to the show (character creation and basically baseball rpg) is a lot of fun and running the franchise can be interesting.

If you don't mind anime and have an interest in baseball I would recommend Major or Cross Game as both do a good job of telling a story beyond just playing baseball and can be enjoyed by someone who doesn't know baseball (my wife for example). They also do a decent job of at least teaching the basics.

You could always just also read up on baseball a bit, the actual basics for how baseball works isn't super complicated, but fully understanding everything can be quite a bit (especially if you want to learn baseball stats ><)

nothing announced at this time, we will know when the psn store update launches, it's not to uncommon for some other stuff to be included.
more I am looking forward to seeing how big ni no kuni is, as far as I can tell it should be 20GB+ which should make for funny reactions from people who want to download it :p

I tried the Revelations demo, and was thoroughly unimpressed. The issue though is that even though the RE series is hot garbage at this point, it sells a LOT of games. Though I'm not sure that it's really a system seller...

i have 2 32gb cards and i'm constantly having to delete stuff. the only non-game content i have is 0.5gb of music on both cards. they really need to give us bigger storage options.

the problem is as they see their sales keep dropping off from these crappy games theyve been putting out, they'll assume people dont like the resident evil franchise anymore and won't justify making anymore games.... when all they really needed to do was stick closer to 0-4 to get those numbers back up...sadly its getting too late where people have learned their lesson to not buy into the resi franchise anymore, until word of mouth actually says the games are back to the foundations.

i cant imagine resident evil 7 will be anywhere as popular as 6 or 5.

The last RE game I played that I enjoyed was 4 .. 5 was way too hammy and I refuse to play 6, even though I'm an enormous Leon fanboy. I think Revelations not coming to Vita isn't a huge deal. There's still some other stuff coming so keep your chins up - fellow Vitabros :p

Also - let's get our creative juices flowing, what should the subtitle for the DJMAX OT be? I'm thinking of something naughty like "Scratch that DJ itch now with rear touch!" ... alright that was lame :(
