Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

Thx for MLB answears - i was hoping it would be like VT4.

Oh MLB is not an arcadey sports game, haha. I'm European and have had no trouble with it, but it definitely helps to have a decent knowledge of baseball before playing it. I don't think it's as hard as it's sometimes made out to be, but you can't go in blind. You've probably picked up some baseball knowledge from American TV/film anyway. :)

Road to the Show is really the best create a player/be a pro/superstar mode in any sports game and that's why I love MLB. Being able to just play a quick game here and there to further my player's career through Double A, Triple A and Major League baseball on the go is great. It looks pretty good on Vita, too.

Also, damn I want NHL on Vita too, but that'll never happen. :(

EDIT: Top of the page, errrm.... buy MLB 13 in March?

And that Divekick game because it looks dumb.

Joined PS+ (UK) just before the price went up again. Thanks to that I am playing Gravity Rush. I am enjoying it (and the music) a lot.

Any news on when EU or US is getting the Soul Sacrifice demo?

Considering its a simultaneous release i'd of thought localisation would be fairly complete by now.

Sort of off-topic, but someone should make an NHL The Show. Every someone talks about how awesome the RPG/Micromanagement stuff in MLB The Show is, I die a little inside because I'm probably the furthest thing from a baseball fan ever.

I'd take any kind of NHL spin off right now.

NHL Franchise Manager*
NHL Ultimate Team Vita
Or even a basic game that just had play now and Season options.

Surely they could even base it on an older engine if needed (10 or 11).

I'd like a NHL management game, one you didn't actually play as the players, but you literally watch from the bench, make the line changes, sort out tactics, draw them on the board by using the vita's touch screen. it's the sort of game that could work for many of the sports titles. I used to love Eastside Hockey Manager and would essentially want that with the ability to watch the games as they happen while making calls.

Never say never. I thought the lookout wouldn't end in time for the season to start. I was dead wrong!

I think there was NHL 07 on PSP? But there hasn't been.... any others, at all. So it doesn't look good. :(

2K made NBA games on PSP but they ditched NHL 2K altogether so no hope there either.

I get the feeling we'll see a lot more sports games - especially EA ones - on Vita in the next couple years. There's no point them spending the money porting the current engines when they can just wait for the next-gen ones and then port then instead.

What happened to your last avatar, friend?

I had a Christmas/Holiday themed animated avatar over on CAG and I changed it to something less holiday themed since January is almost over. Since I found new artwork to rock as an avatar over there, I sync'ed up my avatar over here to match (sorta... same artwork at least). Blame my OCD or something. ;)

Anime Finn (and Jake) looks a little like anime Raiden, so it shouldn't be too jarring of a difference. :p

So how are you taking so long? Read really slowly? Help me understand.

No doubt, but I'm working on that now - even with those, especially considering how quickly I shredded through 10 months of it, there's no way that'll be more than like, 10 hours. So I'm still baffled.

Honestly, I don't know, at times I was rushing even. tried to go for as much completion without a guide as possible, so I spoke to everyone on Inaba every day, used SOS after every battle (waiting for the sirens makes the dungeons excruciatingly long), spent hours in the Velvet Room studying fusions, did 3/4 of the sidequests, went through the dungeons everytime a sidequest popped up... I guess I did go overboard after all. And I'll try for 100% completion after I clear my backlog.

Persona 4 Golden's European release date has now been confirmed, with Atlus' epic JRPG of angst and nightmare television worlds hitting European Vitas on Friday, February 22.

NIS America, which is responsible for publishing Persona 4 Golden in the EU, told Joystiq last October that it was aiming for a February 22 release, though the game's official launch window has remained "Spring 2013" until now. We were also informed that the game would likely be released sans Special/Collector's Edition, which appears to be the case considering no such announcements accompanied the confirmation of its release.

man if EU gets a collectors edition that is different from the NA one I really hope that nisA puts it on their store to buy >.>:

The controls are great once you get the hang of the gyro+analogs

I guess I'm still not used to it yet. I'm still finding the controls really squirrely, like it's either the camera is flinging wildly around, or I have to jam the right stick in the direction I want while gyrating wildly.

I don't know how you guys can bear a month while the rest of us are spamming about how awesome P4G is. I'd probably avoid all gaming communities for the month.

I'm NA all the way and persona 4 has been in my vita at almost all times lol. I didn't like the NA collectors though so if EU gets that collectors it won't matter, but if they get more of a standard NisA collectors I might have to get it (nice box, artbook, soundtrack, an extra little goodie and only $10-$15 more) ><;

As much as I want to play, it helps that I've played it before. Sure it's an amazing game, but having played it already alleviates the impatience
