Yes, your copies will be printed at discounted bulk price. Just like all the other copies. Did knowing how easily they are to produce stop you from buying it the first time?yeah, just like what namco is doing: minimal effort. they probably just contacted Prima and asked who's printing the guides (hint: the guides are still being printed, they were sold out but they're get re-stocked a day after Ni No Kuni's release date), then asked to print 300 copies more for them, at discounted bulk price. they couldn't bother to print the wizard companion, despite it being smaller and having lesser pages.
What the hell do they expect you to do with the guide when they just canceled your game.
As Italian I am absolutely disappointed since watching some videos I found that they decided to make the character talking in dialet of rome (city), one of the most stupid ideas ever, really shitty idea Namco Italy. Totally ruin the game. I'll play it with Japanese voice and English stubs. It's a pitty that Amazon UK sold out the wizard edition otherwise I would have bought it there instead of giving my money to the Italian division of Namco.
Trust me if you are not Italian you cannot get how bad is this idea...
You could do that? :O

Yeah, I heard about that. Do they plan on getting more in stock? They must... right?Yeah, but the game is sold out. The guide is getting there, too. But it actually shipped when it was supposed to, so if you wanted it day 1 you got it.
20 dollar voucher and a strategy guide? Where do I send all my rage?
does the coupon have an expiration date or a hidden expire date? i expect it to be that kind lol.

The $20 off coupon expires in March.

Printing these are easy because they aren't on a limited run. The printing company still has the material, they still have the resources. Trying to reprint something limited is entirely different. You've negotiated a certain amount with a company, and now you have to allocate more resources, redraw up a business agreement, and the printing company may not have time or interest for your business. It's not worth it for the amount of people they'd be helping.
Stop being a child. Other people are pissed too, but they don't pop back in every few hours to spout the same old rant again.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it... Highschool was a pain in the ass, but I graduated!
I got no emails because I accidentally typed my email in wrong at checkout so I missed the $20 voucher when they emailed it. The email issue's been fixed just now though. Oh well, if the voucher isn't a unique code for each customer I guess I'll take one if someone wants to PM me what it was. That is cool. But still no $20 voucher yet.

That's pretty good, but what about those of us that ordered months ago and are waiting a week or more to receive the WE despite paying for expedited shipping? We get nothing?
The $20 off coupon expires in March.
rofl. $20 voucher for our website! too bad we took down Ni No Kuni and you can't buy it there! A free guide that was sold for $20 on Amazon!
funny thing is no one asked for the guide. why can't they just reprint the Wizard Ed and we'll just buy it with the regular price, just like before? don't open a stupid preorder stuff, and just honour all the orders even if it were made at a later date. seeing that we already missed the release date, i don't think it matters anymore if we get it 2 weeks later. it's not like the same people are gonna make the doll and the book.
rofl, "oh you better buy one of our games before March in the store! and sorry that ni no kuni, the one that you're interested in, isn't there!"
goodness gracious.
I think I read only 4000 were sold in NinoStarter?
So the number of people who actually missed out despite pre-ordering is probably relatively low. Printing a few hundred copies of something like that Wizards Edition would be very expensive. The per unit cost of each copy would be very high. They would have to print it in bulk to lower the per unit cost, but then it takes away the value from the NinoStarter people then if it becomes widely available. And demand for them at this point is probably much lower than this thread would have us believe.
A re-print is probably not a logistical reality by any stretch.
This situation is really unfortunate for a lot of people. But aren't you being a little too angry about this? I mean... there are people who ordered during NinoStarter who lost theirs and aren't even near the same level of rage you are at - even though you ordered on the 17th.
I think you're the poster who ordered an extra one to sell on eBay? I guess it sucks for you if you had to refund the person and lost eBay fees... but... you're on a whole different level of rage here. It's kind of scary.
are you suggesting that Namco cares about devaluing the limited print of the Wizard Edition? don't make me laugh, please.
I actually ordered three. for myself, for ebay, and for my nephew. i just want that book. they could charge us for it. that's much better than receiving a guide that you can find in a million other places.

Well people are really accepting inadequate compensation.
Look at it like this: They're saying a $20 coupon, the guide, and the money you originally agreed to pay for the Wizard's Edition is equal to the value of the Wizard's Edition you're not getting. That Wizard's Edition is worth around $400, which still a lot more than they're giving back.
I actually kind of expect one poster here who got his order would've been happy to do that.naruto? rofl.
plus we have to deal with Digital River again. seriously, that $20 just covers the shipping cost to canada. might as well go to my local ebgames to buy it. faster, and same cost. add the fact that ni no kuni isn't even in the store. so what do they want us to order? naruto? rofl.

On the other hand IF they didn't screw up and provide that link to everyone it would've been very good to offer the guide to everyone who had their order canceled along with their re-ordered copy, and just the guide and coupon to those who got screwed over by stock running out.I kind of wanted to buy Naruto before all this, but not from Digital River. I don't have my coupon either, so that's impossible for me either way.
I want to know if people who re-ordered using that link yesterday (especially those that used the coupon) are getting the guide too if they had a canceled order before that. Because that would be really insulting.

So someone clarify this for me: For those that ordered from PlayCanada, will they be getting their copies due to the preorder back in August, or are we fucked like the rest?
By the way, I preordered the damn CE Guide off Amazon on the 15th, Standard shipping, delivery estimate Jan. 28th - 30th yet it has still to even enter the Shipping Soon phase. What the fuck is going on?
Maybe an iView 754TPC? That should cost about $100. It's not the best, but it's low price.Someone's uploaded the Wizards Companion from the ps3 as a pdf file. What's a good, cheap tablet to buy right now so I can read this while I play? I don't want to have to use my iphone for this <.<
Sorry. I edited my post. I saw that number somewhere but I shouldn't use it as any sort of fact just because I saw it.I kind of hope people stop pulling out the 4000/7000 copies made numbers for the Wizard's Edition unless they can find the tweet that mentioned it or whatever.
The only thing regarding numbers that I know about this really is that the number of people who were fans of the FB page hovered around 4000-7000 during the Ni no Starter when it was up for like two months,
