I just, how do people think this looks good? It's all a blur.

I prefer heavy DOF and dark colors.

To use them, you need to download ME3Explorer, load the ModMaker tool, load the mods, and hit "run all mods" at which point they will be installed (this may take a long time depending on the pervasiveness of a given texture).

Thanks! How long did it take you to convert just one of these mods from .tpc to .mod? The guide looks like a lot of hard work in terms of replacing every single map for just one package.

How did you get that working? I have it on steam and it has never worked at all for me.

I just followed the instructions here and that was pretty much it. Downloaded the ATI .dll file, the No-CD thing (though this can probably be skipped, actually) and hex edited the config file to get 2560x1440.

With depth of field, usually something is in focus.

For example, if you're trying to immerse yourself in the world by simulating a person with glaucoma, then those shots are perfect.

So many of these ENB shots have been annoying me but I keep biting my tongue. Give me razor-sharp pixels any day.

DOF is cool for directed cutscenes where the game wants to draw your eye to a part of the frame. Film/photography does this all the time. But for god's sake, keep it out of general gameplay. Until the game can determine where I'm looking, anyway. (this will not be possible for a long time, obviously).

Finally got a new laptop that can actually handle modern games, so I've been messing around with modding Skyrim - here's a couple of shots. I'm not using anything fancy, just the Realistic Lighting Overhaul mod and some texture stuff;

Usually I take my pics with the character at center so he's in focus and the background has dof to it, but I took those using free cam and the freeze time console command; That's why there is a lot of blur and no focused center. If I would have known that you guys would moan so much about the dof then I would have focused the camera like in my other shots but I guess that's my fault for thinking this was a thread for screens instead of a thread for complaining about other users screens.

Don't sweat it or let it bug you too much. I personally don't like DOF for most games in general, but I can see the appeal for framing some stylish screenshots. I have a bigger problem with some of the washed out look of a lot of ENB screens. In the end it's always going to come down to personal preference and eye of the beholder. *shrug*

Ridicule is requisite when someone posts shots as awful as those. They look incredibly shit unless you have glaucoma. If you have glaucoma you have my sympathies of course. If not then I'd submit you have a very difficult position to justify given that this is a thread where people try to make games look at their playable best and then people comment on them.
