So on instantwatcher I was wondering no new movies listed since Feb 1st now. Then i noticed the other day when I searched specifically at 1995, I forgot to set it back. Apparently it remembers your last search or something, dont even have a account on IW

Just got done watching 'Special When Lit: A Pinball Documentary'...disappointing to say the least. This doc is more about pinball players, than the actually history of pinball. That might have been fine, if I didn't have this feeling that they were poking fun of those players.

The narration just jumps from player to player, showing off their collections, talking about the days of yestyear. Anything of remote interest, is shown in a minute, or quickly forgotten to show another person with a big collection.

If you are a huge fan of pinballs, I say give it a shot. Otherwise, just avoid it.

I pulled the same thing awhile back lol.

I actually really enjoyed that one. I'm not sure if its still up, but another semi-gaming related documentary called "The Rockafire Explosion" is also pretty interesting. It revolves around a number of individuals who have bought and rebuilt the animatronic band from Showbiz Pizza, and placed the setup in their homes. The movie is truly a descent into madness and obsession, and I highly recommend it.

Just got a very long and repetitive survey from Netflix about the effectiveness of House of Cards, original series and your general awareness of Netflix. It felt like I answered the same questions several times.

Just watched The Immortals. That was weird and not what I was expecting. The set/costume design was esoteric and abstract. It was like a weird mix of 300 and The Fall. Wouldn't necessarily recommend. Having said that though - does anyone have recommendations for Greek mythology type movies (have already seen 300, Wrath/Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts)

Detached is really good. Had never heard of it, but its got Adrian Brody, Michael Caan, Christina Hendricks, Lucy Liu and a few other names.

A bit depressing, but I would definitely recommend it.

If you want to bawl your eyes out, Dear Zachary should also be on the documentary list.

Added to my q.

Is there an opt out for surveys? Because I haven't gotten a single one.

That is pretty much how I felt. Except that I turned it off half-way through.

Not much in the way of Greek stuff. Check out 'The 300 Spartans.' It is a solid, b-type movie.

I would also add Craigslist Joe.

I remove your Craigslist Joe as it was my second pick for worst movie of 2012 next to Savages :p

It really was terrible... The kid wanted to make a movie, and tried to cram so many messages into it that by the end, we are just left with a pile of shit and for some reason tears when he hugs his mom again.

Wow. I was browsing and Jeff, Who Lives At Home caught my eye, and I remembered seeing it on my friend's recently watched videos so I gave it a shot. Really resonated with my life in a weird way, as fate/coincidence is the driving force in the plot. I haven't cried like that since a friend died years ago.. and this is the first time a movie has ever really made me cry rather than just a little teary eyed. Anyway, really great film - Jason Siegel was just awesome.

Just when I decided to watch Creature from the Black Lagoon it's gone. I was under the impression that Zombie 2 was available as well. :/

And wasn't Irreversible on netflix just yesterday? I wanted to watch it today but couldn't find it.

I wish Fringe would finally come out. I remember really enjoying the first season.

It is coming soon they said. I would guess by summer or so so that they can have all five seasons up.

And if you liked the first season, then you are in for a treat. The back half of season 2 through almost the entire season 3 is God tier.

I believe Fringe is part of the deal they struck that is bringing Chuck too!

Didn't know it was coming to the US Netflix, right now I have to switch to the Canadian one every time I want to watch a Fringe episode, which is annoying. Also it seems inconsistent with subtitles, it depends on the episode. So I hope they hurry with it.

Nantucket Film Festival's Comedy Roundtable (Bill Hader, Jim Carrey, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock) was decent, but I was expecting better. Not that long so it's worth checking out if you're a fan of them.

A few new 30 for 30s went up today:

9.79
Ghosts of Ole Miss
The Legend of Jimmy the Greek
Straight Outta LA
There's No Place Like Home

Also, of interest to some perhaps - Coldplay Live 2012

I watched 'The Evil Dead' last night. I'm hyped for the remake, reason I finally decided to watch the original. I loved the cheesy one-liners, and the over the top gore. It made me jump a few times. I enjoyed it for what it is(was).
