Nope. A lot of confidence right now. PS Meeting will set a certain expectation for folks, and E3 will show you what to expect from the first year. Sony Worldwide Studios has geared up for Orbis for a long time now. There will be a steady stream of games from them. This isn't even including third party efforts, of which there will be two very notable exclusives for Sony fans.

This is from the NPD thread. Don't know how reliable his info is, or if this is just heresy, but it's exciting and seems to be phrased as fact.

the serious lack of Kaz Gifs is disturbing

Very nice GIF! Awesome movie to boot too!

If The Last Guardian does launch with PS4, along with Killzone 4 and Watch Dogs. It would be the greatest console launch in the history of man (alongside the US/EU Dreamcast launch).

Sony has generally had mediocre launches for their consoles. But it really does seem like they're operating differently with the PS4 (as Verendus' comment suggested). It seems like they've had their major studios gearing up for years in anticipation for this. That hasn't happened before. Which led to the coming out flat for the PSone, PS2 and PS3 launches. The PS3 in particular took forever in part because they were building their own engines, which took forever.

With a game that has been in development hell for the best part of 8 years, a sequel to an average (albeit pretty) FPS series and a game we know next to nothing about. Yes, this is new console launch line-up hype hysteria again, where we also buy the latest shitty Ridge Racer and have terrible memories of Perfect Dark Zero and Genji 2.

I loved Killzone 2, and enjoyed KZ3. Watch Dogs looks amazing and I enjoy sci-fi and open world games, TLG is the new Ueda/Team ICO game - it will be magical in some form or other. You can't compare these games to Ridge Racer, Perfect Dark or Genji.

Also if anybody wants to Kazify this video into an awesome GIF it would be amazing! Add in Don Mattrick and other MS execs to the bad guys getting beaten up. May be time consuming though...

DemonNite on fire! Untouchable man, I said god dayumn.

Edit:
Well, KennyLinder said that it's been in development for the PS4 for a long time now. So it seems like it could possibly end up there. Of course I don't expect that to happen unless they're confident that they're going to finish it's going to hit in the launch window.
Wait what? How come this is the first time I'm reading about this. This for real?

Holy shit.
Thanks for the link man.

Yeah, it's definitely reason to be excited. Like I said earlier, he was the one that gave us the first details on Puppeteer. He also pointed out that the game had been on hold at point because the team went over to help out on TLG.

this all seems even more crazier because of the fact Sony still has 3 huge exclusives coming this year for PS3 with God of War Ascension, Last of Us, and Beyond Two Souls. wow.

I wouldn't count my man Sunhi out. DemonNite is doing good work but Sunhi did say earlier this week that he's been really busy and hasn't been able to make gifs like he wants to.

That's the benefit of them spending an entire generation building up their first party studios. They've got enough muscle to handle something like this now.

Yup. Sony, in my opinion, now have the strongest first party studios of the 'big three' by quite a margin.

I'm really anticipating finally seeing what Ready at Dawn can do on console. Especially if it's a God of War type game on PS4.

We've already had a hint that Agni's Philosophy could resurface there. I guess it's possible that it could resurface under its real name. That's assuming that they do turn it into a full FF title.

iirc Kagari stated multiple times that she was sure Agnis was not a game, and would not be. I may be wrong though.
