Do we know if this is the same controller or not?
Quick n dirty comparison. Mind you, the DS3 is the wrong way around lol.
Never forget the Vita D-Pad, that's like forgetting your mothers birthday.

Looks like they slope downward again? :-/

Just went to verge and they are claiming:
Looks like we have another confirmation that this is 100% real photo.

I think that's just the back of the controller having a "shelf" that slopes down, not necessarily the triggers.
Sony patents alot of stuff most go unused.didnt they patent a design where you can split the controller to be like the Move conroller? is that implemented here?
Looks like a vast improvement to me... as if Sony actually took human hands somewhat into consideration with the design of the new controller.
So MIC in the controller bests MS at their own game and makes voice in games by DEFAULT for all PS4 owners. It's about GD TIME!
Like this.

I thought that too but...shouldn't we at least see a part of the triggers then? Something like this:

I wonder if the R2/L2 triggers are not on the same plane as the R1/L1 buttons. Maybe recessed a little which would for me at least feel more comfortable.
Wii U Pro Controller from a similar angle, can't really see the triggers here either.

Prolly!An L4 and R4?
Doing God's work there. I hope you know that.
Can't that be the shadow from the screw hole? Why did everyone quote the other picture? Take a looks at this:
I just want to apologise to everyone for making that "Used Game" gif. I didn't expect it to get posted everywhere so much.
Anyway, I was hoping for it to have finger grooves. Like the EA Sports Grips I have on my DS3. They feel great.

I really hope we can buy a controller without the move light on the top. I hate LED's in a dark room. It's very distracting for me, especially for something I'm holding.

I don't think 'colors' can be dated. The appliances that it is on create the dated look. If you threw that on a Ferrari or other exotic car you wouldn't think 'dated'.
Exactly, it's just a matter of design. What really looks dated on the ds3 buttons are the buttons themselves. I bet that some glass looking buttons (as in Vita's) with the classic coloured shapes would look fantastic, or at least not as dated as the actual ones.
Anyway, I sincerely hope the final pad will have that bossy "screen-pad" as the one in the mock-up the fellow gaffer made.

I can't see it being an issue, personally. If you play in the dark (I do) the light from your TV will be bright enough to drown out anything in your periphery.
I'm sure it'll be off if you're not playing with the motion controls "on"
