Definitely won't be that expensive.
429 is too much. It needs to be $399 max. Also, practically forced paid service is a terrible idea.
Hundred dollar difference? Wonder what for.
What if you don't want to make any noise?
Sony can't charge for PSN right now because people would laugh. So if they're going to charge for it next gen, you have to think they have a pretty good reason for thinking people (non fanboys) will pay. Perhaps we'll hear about those reasons tomorrow.

I agree, especially since two of their platforms already does this.I don't see it even being remotely plausible that we will have to pay to play online on the PS4. Sony isn't nearly that stupid. They will have an enhanced subscription service, but online multiplayer will be fine.
They'll charge and we'll all pay. Me included.
if they don't keep online gaming free on psn, i'm out.
Yeah same as the PS3.I don't think so. Playing MP will be free, but most of the other online features they offer won't (cloud saving, sharing recorded footage on Sony servers, BC streaming, the current PS+ bonuses etc).

If they choose to go anti-used, always online and £10 per month for 'Playstation World', I'm still gonna buy one. This generation has gone on for far too long. Fuck it, drop a 5850 in there, I'm still on board.$429/529 for a system which includes:
-7850 Level GPU
-8 tablet level CPU cores
Sony haven't learned their lesson and if they choose to go anti-used, then for me Sony can FUCK off.
I've said it before, but PS1 streaming is profoundly stupid. Onlive bandwidth was about 2 GB per hour, the system seems to be extremely easy to emulate near-perfectly for Sony, and even as a subscription type thing they'd be better off just caching the game locally then cycling out when you move to something else. PS2 seems unlikely too, but that depends on how much of what they accomplished can be carried over to PS4, if not improved on PS4."Playstation World" sounds like PS1, 2 and 3 BC to me. Probably through streaming though.
You guys really think they are going to give you gaikai WITHOUT an online subscription? really?
I won-t be that optimist, ps3 is still selling for $300, I suppose a new machine with twice the power will cost around $450+
People have an absolute ceiling they won't go above, even if they theoretically could.you can't save an extra 30 dollars in the next 9 months?
No.
Never paid for Live nor PS+, most likely i won't pay for PSWorld either.
From the sounds of it, Online gaming is free but services like Gaikai's Cloud and PS+ features will not be. Sounds... reasonable?
Kotaku looking for last minute hits before we finally get straight facts from Sony themselves and rumors like this won't be able to lure people to their site anymore.
Maybe its for stuff like party chat, and ps home and all that not necasaily online play? This is amazing, the word online play wasn't even mentioned being a paid service.
$429 for the turd pack, subscription for online, needs a phone/tablet? Welp, I'm out.
Yes, go flock to the... Wiiu..? To play the same games online for free! Also, the article highlights that SOME online features will be subscription based. Jump-to-conclusion-GAF never disappoints.Charging for online play?
I'm out.
Holy crap, people need to slow down/calm down. @_@ We are less than 13 hours until the announcement!
Lol, underneath, running alongside the side of the controller, between R1 & R2 shaped like a sharks fin. Am I going mad and seeing things?
Because it's one of the most iconic designs in gaming and they'd be completely crazy to alter it in any major way.
Holy crap, people need to slow down/calm down. @_@ We are less than 13 hours until the announcement! Have some patience. :lol
I see, we're almost there now, bad news are coming...
Eh, don't believe this. Other insiders have said Sony wants to stick to just one SKU this holiday.
