Capcom Arcade Cabinet coming to all major game platforms in 2013

I love all these ports M2 is doing. I already own the Capcom collections for PSP, but haven't played them much, so I'll be all over this.
For now I only played through Black Tiger and haven't actually bought anything yet, not sure if I should wait until May or maybe for details on a WiiU version (would be great to have Off-TV on this).

Now let's see if it lets me upload my whole replay of Black Tiger.

Is this M2's first PC release?

that could be exciting

Wait this is coming to PC as well? In that case if it gets a Steam release, I could support it by making Steam give-aways~

I wonder how many hoops Capcom's middle-management groups have to jump through in order to get higher management stuff to work? I wouldn't be surprised if elements of Capcom wanted to do just as we desired, but other sections say "well, it's not worth doing, if we can't make THIS kind of money off it, first!"

Not to mention... you don't really see many season passes from JP companies. I wonder if that's more because of their ways of thinking, or special difficulty in negotiating how to handle such things...
I just assume JPN game company higher ups are just greedy jerks, did u see how much DLC content Tales of Graces f has?

Sure am. I find most of the Capcom DLC whining to be pretty stupid. Mostly because, they actually offer a lot of what I want with DLC, sometimes even moreso than they do with their full games.
Elaborate more on this please with examples from every Capcom game you've bought and played please. Cuz paying mroe for content, that years ago were normal unlocks can seem like a ripoff in some people's opinion.
The price I had to pay to have Elena playable in something that wasn't Super Crouch Mid Kick Parry Fighter III was small, in comparision, and without that on-disk DLC, I'm sure I'd have gone many years without getting to play her in a new fighter.
$20 to play as 1 character is small? ...and calling SF3:3S like that makes you sound like a quitting loser =/ I main Alex, Elena and Ryu in 3S, and I while I do dislike the top tierness of Whore-Li, Ken and Yun, I don't let it bother me or get me down. I see many low and mid tier character players in Japanese 3S matches and they inspire me to keep on playing as them.

I loved RE5's DLC. The Merc modes in RE feel like semi-free full games to me, and I generally can't stand TPS for long past their initial popularity.
I'd say the only way you can say something like that is either
1- You bought the GotY edition or
2- You bought RE5 and all its DLC on sale
Then again I never knew about RE5 nor DLC til a few years ago @_@

Dragon's Dogma did more for me in a few weeks than Oblivion or Skyrim put together, multiplied by 2.
Don't see what this amounts to really, but if you're basing Skyrim off the PS3 ro 360 ver., you're being unfair.
I've played through Lost Planet 2 more than I ever touched Gears 1 and 2 combined.
Cool, my bro liked playing LP2 with his friend but...they could never get far in it lol. Props for that game having offline co-op tho~

As much as I hate many of Capcom's Fighter balance decisions (Hsien Ko:( )
I dislike it as much as I like it, crazy as that sounds. Classic Capcom fighters had for the most part, had wonky balancing in its fighters, which is evidenced by CvSNK2, MvC2 and 3S.
Lately they're balancing has been good, heck all their current fighters are among the balanced I've seen so far.

I really do like a lot of what they do as a company,
Man I wish I could freeze time and reality, and drop you among hundreds of Megaman fans and hear you say that around them, oh the lulz that'll be had~

and in the Downloadable Space, and with DLC, they do a lot of things I wish other JP companies would try more earnestly! (If Konami would use Hudson and their own licenses for downloadable games as boldy as Capcom does with things like Arcade Cabinet, I'd be a happy camper...)
This post sounds so bizarro...
Capcom's DLC is no differen than any other Japanese company's as far as I've seen.

I'm sure you could find an unplayed gem or 2 somewhere in this collection, if only to buy 1 pack for. I played Black Tiger on the PSP collection, but getting to play it on TV with so many better options just makes the thing feel so more worth it... and getting to play Avengers 2 Player Local will help me enjoy the "This reminds me of Mission Impossible NES!" Vibe that it's graphics style envokes, even more..
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah here's the list of some of the games announced for this thing so far:
1943
Avengers/Avenger/Hissatsu Buraiken
1942
Commando
Ghosts n' Goblins/Makaimura
Legendary Wings
Section Z
SonSon
Vulgus

...and none of them interest me enough to buy them. Sure they have historic value and all but they still don't catch my interest.

On PS3 you can even upload Youtube vids!
Big whoop, so can SF3: 3S OE.
There are some cool features to this set, that make rebuying a few worth it, even if you have them already. I actually enjoyed watching Playthroughs of Wonderboy in the Sega collections, since I was totally oblivious to the maze in the last dungeon of the arcade game, and getting to see gamemasters blitz though it (and see that the path I eked out was actually right!) was worth the price of admission alone, lol.
All I know about is the easy/casual mode feature, which really doesn't impress me much TBH. Its good for if you have others to play with but even then...eh.

And Slam Masters... tryly DO WANT. I fell in love with that game on SNES, and Co-op wrestling or the sort is somethng I don't enjoy anyway near as much in more modern wrestlers...
Ya sure the fact that Tetsuo Hara did the artwork for the series isn't another reason you like it? =P

Maybe things will change with the next gen of consoles,
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No they won't...

I really, really want this but I'd prefer having it on 3DS... or PC. Since I'm buying the bundle I'll have to wait, and if it becomes too evident that 3DS/PC won't be getting it then I'll buy it on PS3.

Can someone properly translate this?

From what I'm able to decipher, it seems to be a new collection of classic Arcade games from Capcom, releasing on the following platforms next year:

- PC
- 3DS eShop
- Wii U eShop
- PS Vita PSN
- PS3 PSN
- XBLA
- iOS
- Android
No retail copies??? :_(

Are there any settings for the YouTube upload on the PS3 version? I tried uploading my playthrough of Black Tiger, but the result was horrible. The video quality is so bad that you can't even make out what's going on and it just stops after 10 minutes (and I don't have that limit on YouTube).

So I skimmed this list-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CP_System
...and the only games I'd want from CPS1 are
Strider
SF2 Hyper Fighting
Captain Commando
Megaman: Power Battle
Slam Masters/Muscle Bomber series
3 Wonders/Wonder 3

EDIT: As for liscened CPS1 games-
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs (MY EFFIN' CHILDHOOD RIGHT HERE! I actually read 'XXXX YOU!' as Quadriple X you as a kid, lol)
The Punisher

We don't have "get out of jail free" cards, but if we did, she'd have one.

Fine I misquoted, I'll fix my post, but I was goind by ESRB entries when making the list =P
...but yeah looking at that...hardly anything that interests me sad to say =/

Only Black Tiger is free.

If you're not buying the titles individually, I guess you could pretend you're only paying for two out of every three games. But that's your call.

LoL, we're going to derail the thread at this rate... I'll try and keep my answers concise and to the point.

Elaborate more on this please with examples from every Capcom game you've bought and played please. Cuz paying mroe for content, that years ago were normal unlocks can seem like a ripoff in some people's opinion.

Not going to do all that, but I'll just say I rarely completly agree with the "same level of content was free years ago!" Bit. There's often times a lot more attention to detail and quality in the DLC one gets, VS tacked-on, possibly-made-as-a-devs joke extras from yesteryear.

It's not all like that, but to use one example, no way the extra characters of Merc's reunion in RE 5, or it's additional campaigns, would have been free extras at their quality, in the PS2 generation.

Naa, I just don't like SFIII as many other fighters. I get much more hyped playing 2K2UM with my brother than I go SFIIITS. I love the art, but the game itself isn't my fav thing of Capcom. I also disliked the way it's GGPO worked on console. Rollback "YOU WO- KO! THEY WIN!" shenanigans kinda make me wanna barf, lol.

And yes. I spent the same on SFxT's DLC as I spent on SFIII XBLA, more or less. I've already had more fun with the V2013 version of her than I had on that game specifically. And instead of waiting for a new SF or a next gen game to have a chance to play her, I get to play her now:)

I'd say the only way you can say something like that is either
1- You bought the GotY edition or
2- You bought RE5 and all its DLC on sale
Then again I never knew about RE5 nor DLC til a few years ago @_@

Naa, I bought 5 Brand new, played through it with brother offline splitscreen (on an SD TV!) and online with best friend. Went back and aced the story mode medals between them both, purchased both story chapters, and had great fun with Mercs Reunion. My brother and I both feel that Mercs mode is one of the most fun things about the series. I really love it's "tactical" combat.

Don't see what this amounts to really, but if you're basing Skyrim off the PS3 ro 360 ver., you're being unfair.

No, couldn't care less about the versions. I'm just saying... when it comes to that type of gameplay, D.Dogma is genre-defining to me, whereas the games most would say do that for them, I find fundamentally boring. I really liked Morrowind! But... since then, it all feels janky, PC-like, and soulless to me.

Cool, my bro liked playing LP2 with his friend but...they could never get far in it lol. Props for that game having offline co-op tho~

Just like RE5, I beat this game front and backwards, lol. Not so much in the online MP, but as far as in the story. The large boss battles are exactly the kind of thing I love in gaming.

I like that they're willing to patch games into new experiences. I still don't agree with a lot of their balance issues, and SFIV series sits alongside III with the "love the aestherics, dislike the gameplay!" camp for me now. UMVC is... eh. I guess most of capcom fighters impress me much more with art than they do with gameplay, really... (I might feel it equal for Darkstalkers series and JoJo's, though... and obscure stuff like Red Earth.)

Man I wish I could freeze time and reality, and drop you among hundreds of Megaman fans and hear you say that around them, oh the lulz that'll be had~

Hey, I'm a Megaman fan too! But as much as I hate that situation, it's no worse than Konami absorbing Hudson and sitting on their IP, The silence of so many companies that have imploded in this gen of consoles, or the way SNKP is sitting on 10s of IPs that might never see a release in their series again.

This post sounds so bizarro...
Capcom's DLC is no differen than any other Japanese company's as far as I've seen.

Naa, Capcom is pretty ambitious. Bionic Commando Rearmed and the earlier remakes in this Gen were something I'd love to see more companies put such effort towards. Konami's done a few, but I wanna see more past that. Square's use of the Taito catalog feel like polished IOS games moreso than console arcade games. Bomberman Live felt so many levels below an SNES or TG 18 Bomberman :(

And things like the SSFIITHDR Beta, the demos included with full game purchases, and cross-game functionality like how Lost Planet II gave titles for almost every Capcom game you owned on the system, or trying out new-waters like the Stand-along expansion / prologues for Dead Rising 2? Capcom Unity's US arm has help get a lot of great ideas going too, such as the amount of content included alongside SFIII TS online edition, and the unique cover and game art for Final Fight Double Impact, even including an episode of the SFII Animated series with it.

...and none of them interest me enough to buy them. Sure they have historic value and all but they still don't catch my interest.

That doesn't diminish the fact that they're worthwhile games, though. Or that you might enjoy quite a few of them, if you gave them a chance.

Big whoop, so can SF3: 3S OE.

All I know about is the easy/casual mode feature, which really doesn't impress me much TBH. Its good for if you have others to play with but even then...eh.

It's a bit unfair to marginalize all the features they add to these things with "eh... something else does it! And I won't use that feature, so it's bunk!" Those kind of features are legitimate steps foward into making these kind of releases have a wider reaching appeal.

Making arcade game's beatable by something that takes more time to develop than a "free play" dipswitch is great. It's like they went back and added Sonic Style Cheat mode settings to all the game.

And server-side video upload and download (ingame) as well as social sharing features (Youtube and Facebook) is a great idea. A whole sect of people without Capture Cards and PC's set up for the stuff can share their playthroughs now. On-System screenshots will allow people to take pictures and chronicle memorable moments with people who don't even own a console, but played the games "back in the day".

And considering the fact that M2 Might standardize a lot of this stuff into future port releases for other companies... I find it hard to "eh..." "oh, I don't care!" to these kind of things!

Ya sure the fact that Tetsuo Hara did the artwork for the series isn't another reason you like it? =P

I didn't make the connection for years, but it does help! My whole family knows our interpetation of Flapjack's "GAAASP!! CHEEZEBURGER!" failure line from the SNES version. I still call out Scorpion's "MY ALLY FAILED ME!" when playing 2vs2 games... I call out "Sydney!" and "Los Angeles!" in the same voice as the game announcer to this day... The "VS" music between character is still in mental rotation of "things to passively hum when starting a fight on a game" for me, and The Hogan Shirt Rip still makes me think of the games Pre-start press intro. Just like Power Stone, it's a freakin' shame this game hasn't had a proper release for online communities to sink into.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No they won't...

Lets not be dense. Nintendo already has made some steps towards making updates easier to post on their system. Due to that, Team Ninja has already offered some free DLC for Nin Gaiden III. Playstation Plus is already a step in the right direction, with it's sales and "free" promotional games. Minecraft XBLA already proves there's a different type of buyer out there that will respond to a new class of releases on XBLA. Happy Wars sounds suprisingly successful for XBLA, even though it's made by a small JP company that probably has nothing with such download numbers to it's name. Heck, XBLA has evolved with the demands of the other consoles, within this gen, now allowing for much larger, more expansive games and varieties of games than they probably ever intended.

Companies will change when there is proven money to go after. And everyone wants to see their downloadable services get Android and IOS levels of cash-flow. They might take baby-steps at a slower rate than you or I would prefer, but it's foolish to think things won't change.

is the vita version still a real thing?
If so - when?

Versions outside of the XBLA and PS3 ones were never a confirmed thing. There's no mention of this anywhere, officially. If you had to bet, though, I'd imagine they MIGHT consider / release more once the console release cycle has completed it's course (May 21st).

Much like how the Pinball Platforms have come to other consoles, once they were well-set in the systems they were intitally released on.

Thanks. A Vita release seems like such a no brainer. At least in my ideal universe it would be.

No joke; Vita Crossbuy / Save / Play would make me double dip on PSN and XBLA (Though I'd probably wait for a Plus Discount, still?). And I want some Native Release Beat-em-ups enough on Vita to actually consider putting real time into Avengers! (And the Ideal Universe ports of the D&D games, Battle Circuit, and Slam Masters series!)

The two bonus games are Vulgus and 1943 Kai.

Best games in the collection imo. Never liked 19xx serries too much, sorry.
Game I recommend the most is Pirate Ship Higemaru. Easily my favorite "puzzle" game.
Gameplay is just honey.

On what date can I buy Ghosts ‘n Goblins individually?
That's the only game that interests me.

G&G should be available 2 weeks after it's "pack" is released, for individual purpose.

So you can buy it with 2 other games on the 5th/6th of March for $10, or get it seperate for $4 on the 19th/20th.

Most released go up for "seperate sale" 2 weeks after the pack releases, though there is a group in there that doesn't follow this logic (I think it's the last pack or 2?)

I don't know how I mostly avoided the 1940-serious most of these years, but I'm having fun with 1943. I only really remember playing them randomly in Chuck E. Cheese / Showbiz Pizza back in the day... and when I got the PSP collection (forget which one it is?) Varth was my shooter of choice. SO GOOD! I wouldn't mind seeing that make it to this collection too, I had a surprising amount of fun with it...

Not only is Black Tiger better than Ghosts and Goblins or Ghouls and Ghosts but it is also the best Castlevania game ever made.

LoL, I... felt similiar to this while playing it? For an arcade game, it's surprisingly robust in ways, and I would have loved to see more done with it's base ideas in later games.

And an item shop like that reminds me of Fantasy Zone...

LoL, we're going to derail the thread at this rate... I'll try and keep my answers concise and to the point.
Seems like it and I feel like I was being rude and attacking you, so apologies in advance about that ^_^;

Not going to do all that, but I'll just say I rarely completly agree with the "same level of content was free years ago!" Bit. There's often times a lot more attention to detail and quality in the DLC one gets, VS tacked-on, possibly-made-as-a-devs joke extras from yesteryear.
Then you shouldn't have brought that up in the first place, since even this sounds vague and requires clarification, and doesn't help in understanding your previous statement.

It's not all like that, but to use one example, no way the extra characters of Merc's reunion in RE 5, or it's additional campaigns, would have been free extras at their quality, in the PS2 generation.
I'd need to play RE5 to fully get this, but seeing how RE3 managed to have an additional Mercenaries mode in it, RE5 could've.

Naa, I just don't like SFIII as many other fighters. I get much more hyped playing 2K2UM with my brother than I go SFIIITS.
I get hyped from playing both, but personally, more-so from 3S, as Nuki wonderfully exhibts-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5erDEvlhyw&feature=player_detailpage#t=178s
I love the art, but the game itself isn't my fav thing of Capcom. I also disliked the way it's GGPO worked on console. Rollback "YOU WO- KO! THEY WIN!" shenanigans kinda make me wanna barf, lol.
That's a fair point, really hope the update patch they were planning goes through tho, this was announced last year, so I'm hoping for it to go live after DSR gets released.

And yes. I spent the same on SFxT's DLC as I spent on SFIII XBLA, more or less. I've already had more fun with the V2013 version of her than I had on that game specifically.
That...doesn't mean much, assuming you got SFxT at $60, you spent a total of $80 on SFxT >_>.
3S Elena is indeed different to SFxT Elena, and I like all her combo options in SFxT, really put a smile on my face...which turned to a frown when I realized I needed to pay extra to play as her.
And instead of waiting for a new SF or a next gen game to have a chance to play her, I get to play her now:)
Sorry but this post just sounds silly.

It has offline co-op? Well shit guess that's how I'll play it then, never knew that lol.

No, couldn't care less about the versions.
You're just saying that cuz you have a weak laptop/outdated PC that can't play those games in true HD quality =/

I'm just saying... when it comes to that type of gameplay, D.Dogma is genre-defining to me, whereas the games most would say do that for them, I find fundamentally boring.
Well up til there I'll agree mainly because its your gameplay preference~
I really liked Morrowind! But... since then, it all feels janky, PC-like, and soulless to me.
What does PC-like even mean, lol.

I like that they're willing to patch games into new experiences. I still don't agree with a lot of their balance issues, and SFIV series sits alongside III with the "love the aestherics, dislike the gameplay!" camp for me now.
SSF4 is prob. the most balanced SF, but with balance comes the risk of the game being boring. If SSF4 utilized a guard meter and had more combo options it would be much more fun to watch I feel.

Eh I'm just sitting here patiently waiting for the new game, they'll come.

Bomberman Live felt so many levels below an SNES or TG 18 Bomberman :(
Yeah well...hardly anything new came out after those. ReArmed wasn't for me sad to say.
...and changing Dante's design and character in the new DmC sounds more silly than ambitious.

And things like the SSFIITHDR Beta, the demos included with full game purchases, and cross-game functionality like how Lost Planet II gave titles for almost every Capcom game you owned on the system, or trying out new-waters like the Stand-along expansion / prologues for Dead Rising 2?
What DR2 Expansion and prologue? You mean the ones that were exclusive to 360? Would've been nice to have them on the not-360-console I owned =V

Capcom Unity's US arm has help get a lot of great ideas going too, such as the amount of content included alongside SFIII TS online edition, and the unique cover and game art for Final Fight Double Impact, even including an episode of the SFII Animated series with it.
I'm still waiting for them to release Sengoku Basara 3 Utage, but they didn't do much of a good job promoting SB3 to begin with I hear >_> I will give them credit for trying to get the classics released~

That doesn't diminish the fact that they're worthwhile games, though. Or that you might enjoy quite a few of them, if you gave them a chance.
Nah sadly if I never played them as a kid, chances are I won't enjoy them now =/ Why just look at the list I wrote a few posts before this.
I did try Black Tiger/Dragon but uh..heh, it was late at night, I was sleepy and I kept dieing lol. Still gonna try and plow through it again tho~

It's a bit unfair to marginalize all the features they add to these things with "eh... something else does it! And I won't use that feature, so it's bunk!"
That's not really what I meant by that, I just don't see it as a major feature that would encourage anyone to get those games.
Stranger's Wrath has a recording option too BTW...and I feel more interested in using it on that game, but mainly because I don't suck so bad in it lol. Non the less...
Those kind of features are legitimate steps foward into making these kind of releases have a wider reaching appeal.
Well hope it does, because as is seems the YT record option isn't that good.

That's great and all, and indeed its a good selling point.
...and that's just about it really, but that may not guarantee it'll sell well. Hope on I'm wrong on this point though.

And considering the fact that M2 Might standardize a lot of this stuff into future port releases for other companies... I find it hard to "eh..." "oh, I don't care!" to these kind of things!
Good emulation won't mean much if the game itself doesn't interest the consumer...sorta like how you prefer Dragon's Dogma over Skyrim...or how like I'd get Captain Commando over KoF 97, despite both having good emulation, but was asked to choose only one of those 2 @3@.

Just like Power Stone, it's a freakin' shame this game hasn't had a proper release for online communities to sink into.
What online communities? I'd love for a PS collection on PSN, XBL, etc. but everyone'll just ask 'When's Marvel?' Sad truth, but hey I'll be around to play it if it gets announced~

Lets not be dense. Nintendo already has made some steps towards making updates easier to post on their system. Due to that, Team Ninja has already offered some free DLC for Nin Gaiden III.
That doesn't mean much seeing how NG3 sucked, from what I heard. Also its just Nintendo supporting what little retail games it has on its system atm...which even then doesn't mean much reall.

Playstation Plus is already a step in the right direction, with it's sales and "free" promotional games.
Hmm mind

Companies will change when there is proven money to go after. And everyone wants to see their downloadable services get Android and IOS levels of cash-flow. They might take baby-steps at a slower rate than you or I would prefer, but it's foolish to think things won't change.

Wish that will be true but the thing about releasing classics, which is something SNK neglected to consider is offering the MUST HAVE titles along with the classics they were releasing.
Now granted I am being selfish since the MUST HAVE I'm mentioning include titles I want, but if there was a poll with a list of these games and other popular CPS1 era games like say Megaman PB, Captain Commando and Slam Masters/Muscle Bomber, and one was asked to vote for only 1 game they would like to buy...

Honestly if it were up to me I'd make such a vote, but only gauge what the most popular titles are, bundle 1 of the most popular with 1 or 2 other games and sell that for $5.

Once again, if I were being rude or offensive, I apologise, busy day at work.

In the end I deleted the japanese game and downloaded it again from the EU Store, along with the first game-pack: it didn't double the trophy folder but kept adding the newer ones to the first one I unlocked while playing japanese Black Dragon... Nice little plus (though I believe it's not a feature of the game itself but a general improvement added to the OS with some system update).

This game is great, anyway: such a neat emulation and fantastic package overall. I'll end up getting all the bundles tho, since playing the trial of Ghosts'n Gobling gave me a proper nostalgia-shock. I don't think I'll be able to wait until end of May and save dat money... U_U
Shame on you Capcom, for not having provided me the season pass right now. :shakesfist:

Still make sense buying a retrogame collection for PS3 when the PS4 is not backwards compatible?

Capcom needs inform if the games purchased in the PS3 version will be avaliable for free in a possible PS4 Arcade Cabinet.

I played on an off all day with Black Tiger yesterday (in score attack), beat Avengers with my brother, watched a fast-forward playthrough of the top leaderboard guy on Avengers with him, had some good laughs at that, and now we're 10 out of 16 stages through 1943.

I can easily say I've gotten my $5 worth already, lol. And getting to attack JP and INT'L Leaderboards from each game is just icing on the cake.

The Demo of Gunsmoke reminds me of why I always heard it was an ace NES game! I never owned it, but always wanted it.

Section Z brings me back to the ONE time I played it in a Department store Arcade (the same one I used to play Robocop in!), and I love the animation work. This is the perfect game to compliment my love of Sidearms on TG 16, and Transbot on Sega Master system!

And GnG... well, it's there, lol. Truthfully, it makes me appreciate the PSP remake game even more. It's more stiff than I thought... Staying in crouch after crouch-attacking, even after releasing down? WOW. I kinda like it. I kinda feel it's the worse idea ever, lol.

Black Tiger feels like the better game, to me, and it's similarity to Castlevania (Elaborate enemy death animations, knives as sub-weapons, chain flail as a main weapon, infinite skels as an enemy, etc) really is plesant, and yet crazy weird...

Shame on you Capcom, for not having provided me the season pass right now. :shakesfist:

That's the worse offense to me ATM, too. If they switched it around, such as Season Pass day 1, with games downloadable as they are released in packs, and then seperate purchases available on May 21st, I'd understand it a lot better.

Already have Collections I & II so I'm going to have to see some Saturday Night Slam Masters to justify my purchase. Make it happen Capcom

I really want 1943 Kai but I don't want to wait until the big bundle in May to get it and the rest. I'd rather buy the packs as they come out but then I'll miss out on the bonus stuff. it seems pretty stupid to not release the big bundle until later. I want to play the first pack now.

You don't miss out on anything by buying them as they release. If anything, you kinda get more; When you buy a pack, you get to play demo versions of the next 3 that will release.

The only thing you lose out on, by buying as they are released, is about 15 dollars you could save by waiting. Of course, you'll be playing your titles about a month earlier than those who wait until the combo release...

On XBLA, if you want them all, you have to buy the base pack, and then the full game: a 5 dollar download, and then a 25 dollar one. On PSN, the full download at the end just cost 30 dollars, you don't have to buy the other two games of pack 1 immediately (you can earn trophies off the initial free download).

Still, I'd like to play 43 Kai, have they announced any way to buy it and Vulgus, without having to buy the entire package in May? Of course, I shouldn't really be bothered because I have the Capcom Generations pack for the PSX that has it.

They are the rewards for buying all the games. There are 5 packs of 3 games each. If you buy all the seperate game packs, you'll have Vulgus and 43 Kai unlocked upon downloading Pack 5 in April.

The only thing special about the May pack is that it's cheaper. It doesn't offer any content that the seperate downloads all purchased together won't. So as soon as the Checkmark of "All games downloaded!" rings true for you, you'll have access to Kai and Vulgus.

They need to bring out Alien vs Predator and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs.

Capcom isn't Konami or EA so don't get your hopes up. People really need to stop asking for the license games that Capcom developed because they will never pay to gain the license again.

Oh I see, thanks. Screw buying the May package, I don't mind buying them seperately and paying a little more to play them before May, some of them anyways.

NP. It'll be fun to get to play around with the demos and such with the staggered releases; I'm sure some won't even be able to get past the demo portions of some games, lol. Makes it really tempting to just buy the packs, and start plugging away with those infinite quaters... I don't want to think of how much it would have taken for me to beat 1943 my first time through... those 16 stages! Argh.

I went out and bought the first pack, seeing as how Sony gave my wallet some cash, and I like what I've played. I had just bought the Midway Origins disc and I'm realizing how much I like the Capcom arcade games over Midway. 1943 is a blast to play and I can't wait to play Section Z next month. Good stuff all around and here's to hoping they don't stop with the five packs they have planned.

Cool, that works out well! I do love this method of packaging games under a set of features, and I agree, I really do hope we get many more releases for this... so much potential!

Game Room had a lot of potential too and didn't turn out well! I guess I'm not being very optimistic!

I'd be interested in checking out Dungeons & Dragons (if they ever re-released it). I want to play the game that inspired Dungeon Fighter Online. >_>

Well, they got a Marvel sublicense back, so we got a new Marvel VS. Capcom game along with MVC 1, MVC 2 and Marvel Super Heroes on XBLA/PSN, so hey, it's possible.

I've always been interested in their Aliens VS. Predator game, I'd download that in a second.

So apparently ESRB rated "1943" for PS3, 360, 3DS and Vita? Could that mean we are getting this on handhelds after all?

If I remember correctly, they did the same even more recently with JoJo, didn't they? I don't know if the pretty insane price tag was related to it, but honestly I wouldn't mind at all to give them 800MP/10 euros for AvP, Cadillac & Dinosaurs, Tower of Doom, Shadow over Mystara or a perfect home emulation of X-Men CotA.

The full pack is coming tomorrow, right? Looking forward to play the games finally. Anybody that actually didn't wait for the full pack (and still got most of the games)?
