I have played 60ish hours in D3 and think its a great game (although greatly improved lately, I understand ppl who were disappointed with the original endgame) and I also am excited for a console version and will double dip. *shrug*

I don't come to the gaming side often. After seeing some of the various responses from gamers regarding today's news makes me glad I don't come here often too.

Strange that they would be angry. There were already speculation that D3 will be ported to the console....one of the main argument was that D3 interface was created in a way that is very friendly to the console.

More players, more people in the economy, more players to sell old gears to....why would they be angry? (and of course more money for blizzard from AH tax)

to be honest, metzen can go fuck himself. I was excited to play mi first diablo ever... after finishing the game once... and looking forward to the next difficulty... I realized this game was either overhyped or they messed up what diablo was known for. I never found the reward in this type of game that I was led to believe there was.

And I quit wow for the third time... but this time I didn't even cared to finish end game bosses. Yep blizzard is out of touch with me.

I think you're looking for Jay Wilson unless you were just turned off by the story... which I imagine wasn't the main thing that turned you away. I'm kind of surprised Morhaime wasn't the one to announce it.

Diablo III wasn't compromised for consoles. It was dumbed down for the WoW crowd not the console crowd.

PC fans didn't think they could greedily keep that auction house simulator all to themselves, did they?

The master race's home on Mt. Olympus rumbles.

When Metzen was talking about which IP would make sense on console, I had this irrational hope that he was gonna flip it and say "...and we came to the conclusion that console players deserved more than a port, so here's a new game made built from the ground up for consoles!"

They could have at least used this as an excuse to bring back Lost Vikings.

I wanted Blackthorne 2. =/

It really is a shame the game had to be diablo 3. Disappointing game that I already have on pc, definitely do not want to buy it again.

I paid for the WoW expansion with it, haven't touched it since, was just terrible. But maybe this means Titan will make its way to consoles and be free to play as well.

What does 4 spells have to do with consoles? it's like people the people in this thread have no idea about torchlight on 360.They got the sales thanks to past hype. The dumbing down is a choice they made to lower the entry bar even further. Now anytime you mention diablo3 not being a good game you have some asshat bringing up "but da 10million+ sales" like selling more copies always means better quality.

Shouldn't they be happy that other people will be able to play an awesome game?

As a hardcore Halo fan, if it came to the PS4, I would be delighted.

If they are Diablo 3 fans, why would they be angry that other people can discover and enjoy the game they like. Them being Diablo 2 fans would make more sense.

Am I the only person on Earth who wants to see Diablo evolve into a more immersive 3rd-person hack & slash game instead??????????????????????????? Now that Blizzard is in a partnership with Sony, maybe they will release some proper exclusive console games?

Sacred 2 showed that it is easily possible to do up to 16 skills with the controller. 4 face buttons plus RT, LT & LT+RT. It also supported up to 16 players on PC vs 4 on console.

Diablo 3 fans have a point.
It's pretty obvious they must have designed the PC game with the consoles in mind, which might have resulted in some game design decisions that wouldn't have been made if they didn't consider console ports.

I'm surprised that people still give a shit about Diablo 3. The whole thing was a mess, I've not bothered with it since launch week.

I don't think 'Diablo 3' and 'fans' go together. Kidding.

This was expected to be the reaction. It's like ME3 or Tomb Raider. You can't throw a stick without hitting a honey badger, then watch your dog get mauled repeatedly.

If it exists, someone will complain about it.

Edit: Falling into the above probably, but Diablo 3 was the last thing I had on my mind. Not sure what I was expecting, but I didn't think that they would want to open up that can of worms when they could have experimented with some sort of Starcraft/Warcraft game.

No one cares when console games gets ported to PC but having a PC game that they shit on constantly get a port and then they cry foul. Some of these guys need to realize a healthy console market greatly benefits them.

Blizzard just shot themselves in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about American culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in Canada where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in America, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the american public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Diablo III for either system, nor will they purchase any of Blizzards games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Blizzard has alienated an entire market with this move.

Blizzard, publicly apologize and cancel Diablo III for PS4 or you can kiss your business goodbye.

Should check up Wall street and how people do business over there... shame is a way of life for a lot people here in America. Not a lot of honor anywhere in this world... if they can get away with it believe me, people will do it!

I'm not defending their whining, but it seems the point they are making isn't that they're upset about the game going to another platform, but that the game was always going to go to a console and made the game worse (something most people seem to think anyway) for it.

not gunna lie I when Blizz was announced I was hoping it was going be some sort of "Titan" tease

I threw up in my mouth a little when he said Diablo 3

The saddest part is that they think Diablo III is still relevant.

Why would I play it on PS4? So I can be disappointed all over again?

When you say saddest, how sad is it in comparison to the rehashing of the same predictable handful of bitter responses? You promptly answered your own question, the blatant setup that it was, though another theory is that they may be looking to expand their audience to those who have yet to play it.

This was crystal clear to me the moment I read that diablo 3 will only have 6 active abilities at a time. it was designed to be comfortably playable with a pad.

the only thing I am surprised at is that it took so long and doesnt come on the xbox, too.
