I cant remember exactly, so sorry, but I'm sure it was available for around £29.99 or something, and there was a code that reduced the price by £5 or something if you spent over £30, I bought the cheapest DVD I could find to get it over £30, and I had £10 compensation from them previously for a mix up if I remember correctly which I used against it.

It was the 360 version. Its all incredibly blurry, but I'm sure it was around £15 to £20 at the end of it all. It was nearly a near ago now lol so sorry about being so vague.

Regardless, even £35 was a bargain for the game, the shirt and more importantly the art book.

The Wii U will still be €250 in 2/3 years? Yeah right, because that is what happens when Nintendo harware fails to meet sales expectations and forecasts.

I guess Zavvi/Thehut got tired of having to send replacements to Portugal, the standard shipping to portugal option is gone, leaving only the 10€ tracked shipping left.

I used them many times only because of the prices, now that that's gone I guess my backlog will stop growing so fast and amazon will start getting most of my money again. Oh well...

Pft, I wish it took that long. I've been getting e-mails about pikmin, fire emblem and the wonderful101 from them for months.

Edit: And now that I check my e-mails, I notice I have another pair of e-mails about wonderful 101 and fire emblem ;-;.
I'm always a fan of low prices, but argh, they really don't need to send me so many e-mails

Are there any PC game stores that will gut the box, send you the code and then send you the box later? I want the best of both worlds! (because my DVD drive is broken at the moment but I usually have awful internet)

Don't think so, but you could always ask the shop in question, I guess. But what use is the disc these days, especially if you want a Steam or Origin code?

Because the shitty slow internet, I know a lot of games patch but it's a real buzz kill when you want to play a game one evening but it takes 12 hours to install the game. I felt like playing Portal the other night, installed it and played because it's so small.

Pity, good business opportunity there really. Might be problematic 'cause of fraudsters I guess. I know shopto does it with XBLA codes which is really awesome. I'll just order it and wait I guess.

So I checked my local (Belgian) FRS today.

Wii U 32Gb: 335 euros
Vita 3G: 200 euros
Nintendo 3DS XL: 150 euros (red and blue iirc, might´ve been a white one too)
Nintendo 3DS XL (white) with Mario 3D Land: 210 euros

So past few days I've been after Mass Effect trilogy on PS3, nearly everywhere has sold out (missed the Amazon £32.98 deal) so I decided to go town today...walked into Game, boom £34.99 new sat on shelf (display box)....sold out, but they managed to order it for me (I checked yesterday and the website had sold out...) but today they've got new stock!!

So Mass Effect Trilogy £32.99 PS3 | Xbox 360

They haven't got PC version in stock online but they had some in store.

Time for my 4th Mass Effect play through when it arrives :p First time on PS3 though! Still love playing the ME games. Oh and for some reason the PS3 version sells for £50+ on eBay....

When could we expect a UK game retailer to have a 'Buy 2 get 1 free'-like offer? There are 3 PS3 games I want to get- Injustice (I want GAME's special edition as I prefer those alts.), Lords of Shadow 2 and Tales of Xillia.

Probably never. They happen in the US now and then because games seem to hold value for longer than 10 days over there.

Usually Game has a 2 for £10 or 2 for £20 going for PS3, but most of the choices can be had for cheaper online including postage. I wouldn't expect 3 for 2 for a while yet, I'm still waiting on them doing that for the Wii, DS, and PSP. 2 stores close by have so many DS and PSP games some of them are just stacked up on the floor. You would think they would actually want to get rid of them with such an offer.

in germany we tend to have something like "buy3for50euros" but most of these games are more than 1 year old. its once in a quarter and amazon does that too.

but you cant expect games like tales of whatever to be in that list.

the tales of series is infamous for being sold out or keep the original price for decades.

Tales of the Abyss is totally worth getting - even if it isn't as rare as it once was. I'm playing through it now and thoroughly enjoying it. You won't get better bang for your buck on 3DS than that.

I think it has had a reprint or something, because more cheap copies have been showing up lately. It's also around £15 on Amazon UK.
