Another ROM sold at 12€ with shitty netcode? Does it sound better?
Not too much right?

Depends on what you mean by bad netcode, the netcode for their recent fighting game classics were pretty good, but it all comes down to the player's ISP and internet connection.

...and what's wrong with it being 12 Euros=$15? The game's are worth it at that price.

12 Euros for an emulated arcade are way too much. We started with 10-15 arcade games collections sold for 30 dollars/euros now we're happy to play with a single game for 12-15 dollars? They're not reprogrammed, they're not new games, they're old (good) games emulated (sometimes very bad) and sold to a price usually an indie developer sells a brand new game.

A leaderboard and an online play is the minimum you can ask to a re released game and not for that price in my opinion

Great for nostalgia, but I noticed I'm not fond of beat 'em ups without grappling.
Games these days need more piledrivers.

This will probably come with some nice features that will make people consider it over the other alternatives. It's definitely worth the purchase if the ports are solid.

I can't recall many collections that were like what you described with games like these.

Only if you don't care about the quality of the games themselves.
To me $15 or heck $20 sounds like a good price for the compilation release of both games.

Don't quite get what you mean by that; I got Bit.Trip Runner2 for $12 and got my money's worth. I bought Might and Magic CoH from Steam for $15 and got my money's worth.
I've gotten Capcom's recent fighting game compilations and really liked them, great ports that bring out the visual brilliance of the CPS2.

Does the price of what you buy really matter in the end if the game you play is satisfying?

Most recent classics games released on PSN and XBL for the past year have had really good emulation.
You also must take into consideration the license fees.

There has been some serious changes in direction from WotC with regard to DND licences, they have started selling PDFs and re-releasing print versions of older edition products. And have published all the old issues of Dragon/Dungeon on an internet archive site. I wouldn't be surprised if this is part of the initiative.

Nice, but I won't buy it. Played both to death years ago, in arcades and thanks to the arcade boards a friend of mine bought. Someday, I'll have my own.

Dragon's Crown, on the other hand...can't wait.

holy crap a dream come true. Wish they would port it to wiiu also but my ps3 well do. I played the crap out of my saturn version when they originally released them.

All games are just 1s and 0s run by a machine to produce what we recognize as a game. If they offer a good enough game I don't really care, especially if they put forth decent emulation that WILL end up costing more.

Not that the extreme is necessarily acceptable (I thought Chrono Trigger for $40 was absurd when so many newly created games were going for $30 and $35), but the other isn't either (cheap ass collections without the best emulation and skimping on good features versus more select collections... nevermind how often anything goes for a buck or free on mobile.) And last I checked the last few Capcom games really did get good treatment, so combined with the rarity of the game I'm OK with this.

At last, Capcom becomes smarter. I have this on my Sega Saturn and mame arcade, but I will support the port.
Hope co-op will be supported.

So I'm guessing these are the two new games Capcom is announcing at PAX.

Pretty cool, though not what I expected. I was really banking on the Darkstalkers 4 reveal at the fighting game panel.

My enthusiasm is much more guarded than it would normally be because I was very disappointed with a different beat-em-up.

There are trophies in X-men arcade that basically encourage players to spam the power button and die to replenish their power because the game gives you infinite credits. I hope whoever ports these doesn't pull the same shit with these games.

Cool! Though I never liked the stop/start feel of the pacing at times of the arcade/Saturn version, this will be mine. Looking forward to no loading and nice filters. Captain Commando, Saturday Night Slam Masters, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Aliens versus Predator, and the rest of their long-desired licensed titles next, please.

Good news i guess, but it's too late for me. Now that we know that Ps4 is not going to be backwards compatible, no way i'm paying 15€ for this.

The Siliconera article seems to insinuate that they will be sold separately.

Hmm! I must've missed that then.
Well I did speculate Capcom to announce classic releases during PAX adn there we are.
but I suspect Ono will make a surprise dynamic entry during PAX >=3

But since the news of these games is already out, I'm not sure they count as "PAX announcements" anymore.

I guess we'll see.

OH MY GOD.

I -love- Shadow over Mystara. Played that with my best friend for ages at the Holiday Inn where his parents worked. So good. I'MALLIN

Without a doubt my favorite arcade games of all time. I'm so jazzed about this!

Please make a Steam version though...

That's pretty cool. I've never played them but I'm willing to give them a go. Just hope this doesn't count as one of the PAX announcements.

So happy. I used to have the Saturn Collection but sold it off a few years ago. I have a MAME with this on and I only have 3 buttons for each controller right now, but was planning on adding buttons just so I can play these games. If it comes out soonish, I may not have to.

Will be getting this! Fantastic news! Now if only we could get a straight port of the snes version of turtles in time the beatem up circle would be complete

What?! I thought it wasn`t possible / easy to release those games due to the licensing (well when I learned Sega will be releasing Castle of Illusion on XBLA/PSN anything should be possible).

Let`s hope the Saturn compilation decreases in price with this release
yeah, no chance
