if anybody end up buying machinarium please post opinions here, one of the things that i hate about the game is the lack of full screen, i want to know is the vita version is the same

How would you describe escapeVektor? yeah I know I can find the info elsewhere but to be honest I see screenshots, don't get what is going on and don't look further...

Man, VT4 is on sale for $14.99. I know that's not an AMAZING deal, but it's tempting.

Also, Sonic Racing Transformed is on sale for $19.99. Please buy this, people. Such a fantastic game and the Vita port is great.

On the PSN store? If so, that game is so bought! I was planning on buying Machinarium, but now that may have to wait.

The massive time sink is bit exageration - you can do story mode in about 30 hours but after that you have possibility of nearly endless grind.

it's only a massive time sinc if you want to do everything. If all you want to do is play through the story it should easily be doable in 30-35 hours (I could likely do it in 20, but I know how to abuse things)

The story isn't the best story in the world, but it is full of humor and I enjoyed it. Its setting should give you enough of an idea of how it will go though.

You are a straight A student at demon high (which in real world terms means your are the biggest delinquent and never go to school), and your father is the overlord. One day your father steps on your memory card and destroys all of your saves, so you set out to gain power to make him pay.

What type of SRPG is this? Do I get some action elements with it or is this akin to some Final Fantasy Tactics type gameplay (which I friggin suck at)

I have to disagree, disgaea really is nothing like fft aside from the fact that they are both SRPGs

in FFT you took actions based upon speed.
in disgaea your entire team takes their action, and then the enemy, and you always go first.

in FFT you had your character work up on a single job to unlock more jobs usually resulting in needing to attack a ton with a character to get job points.
in disgaea you unlock jobs merely by reaching a certain level with that class, and the entire process can be done with bonus exp, or if you deck out a character with strong equipment in one single attack.

In FFT there were a number of poorly designed difficulty spikes, and all you could do was grind forever to get a bit more power and hope that the enemies that are scaling to your level don't take you out.
in disgaea if you reach something that kicks your ass, you make a quick run in item world and then come back and kick their ass. If you rush things to much you might need to make 2-3 runs, but at least with the story it's never super difficult.

In FFT you were limited to 5 party members.
in disgaea it's 10

in FFT you maxed out your level at 99
in disgaea the max level you can reach is 9999, for your character... 100 (plus bonus levels) for your items, and if you need more power you can reincarnate from level 9999 keep a percent of your stats and start all over again, the sky is the limit.

I can continue going for a while, but my main point is FFT was a lot more focused and difficult, disgaea is a lot more open and can be easy if you are willing to put in some time grinding.

to me saying disgaea is like Tactics would be little different than saying that time splitters is like half life/halo they just don't even remotely have the same feel.

Yeah I really want to get it while it's still that price - just on a tight budget at the moment :(

The amount of errors that are littered in the store update and plus update posts is mind numbing. Can they go a single week without messing something up? Sorry, but it makes it seem like they don't even know their own products.

That said Monsters is very tempting. Is it just the ps3 version or is it all new maps.

iirc the PSP version is the same as the PS3 version (with the DLC). the main thing I found annoying was how zoomed in is (can't see the entire field like on PS3) but otherwise it's the same

edit: also I suck and never got to the end in either version

PSP version also has online... don't remember if that was ever patched into the PS3 version.

It's laggy as hell though anytime I played it.
There were people still playing online when I tried it a month or so ago.

Trick question: will a DLC from one region works with the game from other region?

I have the retail European version of WRC3, but I was never able to get its free DLC because my account is US. Now the game is released digital only in the US store, and the free DLC is available.

I tried to upload a screenshot using imgur but i keep having problems, was wondering if anyone here uses it when they post their screenshots. I try to upload it via the vita browser it works and then i go and click images again and its gone. Has anyone run into this problem, is it the browser itself? Also if you set the image to private would it not show up here if i posted it or is the private function just for that site itself?

Last time i transferred to the pc first then to imgur and it worked so idk if its something im doing wrong or what.

Only if the game has the same product code... or something like that.
Doesn't hurt to try I guess since it's free.

Though, you may have that piece of DLC stuck in "waiting to install limbo" forever losing a download slot.

So I have a question for any PSM developers who frequent this thread, or anyone who is knowledgeable with the platform:

Is there a limit to data sizes? I was worried about my idea/project being a bit too big for PSM :\ I already have some stuff working in a prototype but before I start trying to redo everything in the PSM suite I wanted to thoroughly check everything out before I get knee deep into it.

What a great month to be a Vita owner thanks to all the discounts. Getting Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed for sure (Love the PC version. Would be sweet to play those tracks on dat OLED.)

And everyone better get Virtua Tennis 4. It's literally the prettiest game on the Vita, plays well and is quite a steal at 15 bucks.

Can't even remove D3 from my cart.
