Interesting choice. I assume most PC only people don't know too much about Metal Gear, nor do they want to jump into the middle of a convoluted story in light of that. And those that care have already played this on consoles, so I assume the large majority of this release's audience will be people who already had their turn and just want to see it in 1080p or higher.
Still, always nice to see the PC getting more love. Let's hope between this and Castlevania, it can be the beginning of a beutiful friendship between Konami and the PC.

Make sure there is better LOD or at least the ability to tweak the game to take advantage of that PC HW since this game isn't exactly pushing the boundaries of graphics.

Why would you assume that? 3 of the games (counting the port of the non-canon NES version) were released on PC (MGS2 is an atrocious port, but the game itself is absolutely fantastic).

Indeed. And you know that with a PC version, there will always be an online community present. The PS3 version is practically dead already.
The game is way too fast and intense to appreciate any gains from improving the IQ.
The console screenshots look bad due to lack of AA but the game also targets 60FPS, so you get temporal AA due to the high framerate, but then again the game is way too fast for any of that to get noticed. If anything the best part about playing on PC would be that you can actually get a locked 60FPS instead of perceptual 60FPS this time around, not the IQ gain. The flat lighting and particles are staying as they are anyways.

Not me. Something something solid snakes, liquid snake and cardboard boxes. That's the limit of my knowledge on Metal Gear.

Awesome, day one for me. I hope they bring Bayonetta to PC as well.
It's the console version on PC. Runs well, can't see any bugs, but no improvements either.
Best off waiting for next years with that FOX Engine offshoot to see what that one's like.
