I doubt it.

Here is the opposite end (?)

It could be the botton of one of the DS4 sides...

The new slim is the only model that allows a person to access the lens without taking the console apart.

I have gone through more PS3's than I have fingers on one hand. Do you know what ALL the failures were? That's right, the lens went.

The new model - not slot loading, having an actual bay you can reach - is by FAR the best model. I can clean the lens on it, I cannot on any other model. There is also the issue of more mechanical parts with a slot loader, ie, more things to break, and more things to increase cost.

I agree, being able to directly access the lens on the "Superslim" has been a godsend - it's a great design for that alone.

Looks like it will be two stacked hard rectangles (equal height?) with an inset all around the design separating the two and a vertical slit inset along the right edge for LED strips. Along with a matte finish, I think this box will be beautiful.

With the inset, I'm just curious where the drive will go? I'm guessing the bottom or top of the drive will be along the inset, depending upon where it goes.

Cognitive Dissonance, Distilled
Really loving the more angular nature and strong bold shapes this is implying so far. The smooth, rounded approach has been done to death. Theres no need for the box to be ergonomic after all...

Interesting they release this now. Attempting to make sure they aren't forgotten in the upcoming Durango storm?

Some might say they were worried...

Anyway, like the video. Seems a good way to tease the console. Not sure I like it's square appearance though, was hoping for something more interesting in design.

Eh? It's pure marketing the take attention away from the event!

As someone that owned a phat ps3 with a dead lens, I agree fully. Fuck slot loading. Less mechanical parts, the better.

I think that's part of the DS4.

I think it wraps around in a curve on one end, and is flat on all other sides.

When standing vertically (on the side opposite to the curve), it'll look like a square from the side, but with a curve away on the top side. From the front it will look like a thin (ish?) rectangle with a semi-circle on top.

I'd be in the dick
Wonder if they have a dick move planned for tomorrow or the day after.

Tomorrow would be stupid, whatever it is would get completely lost. They are revealing Last of Us MP later this week. I think if there's anything else it would be between Wednesday and E3.
