Yeah not really sure what's up with MS fans and why they don't want to try. I was checking the thread made earlier to see if they were into it and was going to suggest to the OP that I combine it into here... but they all seemed to think the DRM is awesome. Stockholm syndrome?

Pachter actually thinks restricting used games would be a bad move, iirc.

Pachter has dinner with CEO's (had to fly back to LA after the MS conference last week to meet with Riccitiello), he's precisely the kind of person who can escalate and bring attention to the topic on multiple levels. Plus, he's active on Twitter and has a weekly show!

I hope this helps shape some decisions.

That "Gamers Rejoice" gif is really badassed! lol Hey, I can truly see Sony stating their 1st party & 2nd party games will not be affected/infected by DRM policies. This would mean publishers can't call foul on them since the Xbone is letting them do this but also puts pressure on them by consumers to follow Sony's lead.. or else o_O E3 is going to be WILD!

Yup. That's why I tried it.

Anyway, time to go to sleep now.

And this too!

I make money when people buy used games. I'm not your hero, I'm not your savior. Forget what you know.

And I surely don't understand why you gave up on Microsoft so easily. Well, yes I do.

Yep, this thread has 300K+ views and the Xbox one has 8K+ views. Seems that people thinks that only Sony can listen us and avoid the DRM stuff.

Contacted all the collected third-party execs with "DRM won't make pirates buy games, but it will cost you this paying customer. Please support #PS4NoDRM."

The overall feeling is that Microsoft is pretty much set and will endure the present flack they are getting and then wow gamers again with games announcements on E3. And it will work to some extent.

MS was heading this way, look at office 2013 / office 365 with 1 PC DRM and online. Xbox one is just a natural progression

Yeah I think it's a lot of apologists who are twisting anti-consumer DRM into - "HEY, THIS IS GREAT! THIS MEANS ALL MY GAMES ARE ON ONE ACCOUNT, FOREVER! I never have to transfer them and I buy all my games new so this doesn't affect me! It also means MORE GAMES FOR XBOX ONE, because it means MORE MONEY for developers/publishers, right?? right???"

Did I cover everything? :p

I suppose I could be an "Xbox fan" as I prefer 360 over PS3, but even I can see how utterly crap what they're doing and I've had no issue in supporting everything this thread is about and participating in helping out by tweeting. It shouldn't be about which company or console you like better. It should be about facts.

I really can't spin my head around the idea of not letting my friend borrow a game without losing access to my own account. It's really ridiculous.

I don't think that most Microsoft fans are happy with the DRM move.

I think the primary difference between this thread and the other thread is that we had some clear responses of receptivity from Sony representatives or people who know Sony representatives. That leaves a glimmer of hope, whereas the Microsoft thread drowned itself in negativity and defeatism.

Tell him/her it's past being a Sony/MS thing.

Well he's saying that it's been decided that Sony's going to be allowing publishers to decide and he's basing this off a February 21 article on Gamespot with Yoshida. I said things have changed since that MS Reveal.

Bah who cares. I opened a twitter account just to support a good cause to benefit us the consumer.

Is there a link to that thread?

If you want to add my thread into this it would be awesome. For whatever reason everyone in there is so apathetic.

I haven't seen that on GAF anywhere. Not even from pro-MS people.

someone tweet hiphopgamer. im sure he'd end up making a video about it.
I feel like he would probably be pretty level-headed about this issue. I'm interested to see his take on it, as I tend to range from wildly disagreeing to completely agreeing with him on a variety of topics. He's all over the place, which keeps his opinion interesting.

Funny, I read the thread when it started yesterday and now it's being mentioned on most of the news sites I visit, even the local German ones. Good job guys.

Did my modest part and used Gofreak's well thought text!

Question : I am new to twitter (signed 2 or 3 days ago). How can I see the "page" (for a lack of a better word) hosting all the anti-DRM messages?

Man, imagine if Sony still blocks used games after this.

Gaf would explode in anger. :lol

There will be initial outrage, but that doesn't change the fact that we what we could. Plenty of people are tweeting despite fully expecting Sony to use DRM.

At the end of the day, it may not change anything, but it's better than sitting back and waiting for bad news to hit.
