Final Fantasy XV - Main characters and Japanese voice cast revealed

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
No thanks, it's bad enough XIII-2 had it. If anything they should have designer suits.

Or designer thongs.

Man, I wonder what will happen if that actually happened.

Interesting.
That's the funniest thing I've heard all week.

I fully expect this game to have swimsuit DLC for the Noctis-sync group.

Think of all those sales, SE.
That just reminded me of this.

Just imagine being that guy in a bathtub in a swimsuit unboxing a Noctis swimsuit doll. (Nothx)

Ha. Love it. This quote in a new thread would provide entertainment.

Q: Where does character inspiration come from? Modern fashion, history books or does it just spring into your head?

A: It's not like I'm always thinking about character design. When I receive orders, I start imagining things. The image of that character, the "silhouette," comes into my mind, and from that I start thinking of details. In the past I would probably flip through the pages of fashion magazines, now I look through the Web pages of my favorite brands.
Now we know from where all the boy band influence is coming from. :lol

Best quality FF XV gameplay trailer is on Gamersyde.com. It is about 264 MB and in 1080p.

Hahaha, I'm glad he's giving equal sass to the character design problems of East and West here.

Quote needs to be somewhere in the future OT.

Nomura, you are my favorite person ever.

Honestly, I like the restraint he's exercised with the designs in this game. It would be really easy for him to go all-out with the hairstyles, but Noctis' is the only one that's really weird. And even then it's not that weird - I have bangs as long as his and I don't look like a crazy person. If he got rid of the Sasuke spikes, I doubt anyone would even notice.

There actually are guys who wear that hair like that every day.

Now that Nomura will be allowed to be trigger happy in interviews I hope people will get used to not taking him too seriously. :lol He's obviously taking the piss with the musical game and hair things.

I just hope they take their time and polish it, delivering with dual audio and worldwide release.

Oh, and Cor has one of the best design I've ever seen, I hope it's going to be possible to play as him as well at some point and not just set his "gambits". I miss Sabin :(

i don't think FFXV will release in 2014 if it was they would've given some kind of time frame for it at the end of the trailer

From what Verendus said, they are progressing smoothly and are hoping for a 2014 release but nothing is certain. I don't think they want to put a time out there with this game I they aren't certain it won't be delayed a bit.

Nomura is easily the godfather of character design in gaming. The most diverse and most unique characters were made by him.At least from a visual point of view, he is unmatched.

The snippet at the end:
Video: Sony showed off the PlayStation 4 starting at $399 with a host of games that don't require you to be online all the time earning them cheers at their E3 press event. Todd Kenreck reports
Seems kind of random.

The game could still be well over a year away from release, they aren't usually going to be giving any kind of release estimates this far from release. They are likely aiming for 2014 but this is a very, VERY important release for them (not only will it be their first next-gen game, it's also a new mainline release and after they've released two that got quite a lot of criticism, they need to get the next one right at once). I'm sure their stance on this game's release is "we'll release it when we are completely happy about it" instead of releasing something a bit too early just to please impatient fans. And if that means they miss their goal of a 2014 release, if they feel that some few extra months of polish that push it to 2015 will make it better, then they'll probably do it.

hmmm...

hitman reborn?

pretty boys mafia stuff shounening their sexy bodies around?

I did kinda like that manga for a bit.
I don't see any pretty boys.

How many sequels of this should we expect?

Any possibility of another team simultaneously working on XVI (Agni's Philosophy setting)?

Yeah, I didn't know he was such a jokester. It's been fun seeing him in the spotlight again. Even his interviews are better than Toriyama's. :p

Honestly, I hope we do get costume DLC's, and that a few other artists get to take a swing at designing a few outfits for the characters *cough* Akihiko Yoshida *cough*
Might also be a nice break for all the black outfits.

Anyways, does anyone remember this scene from the original trailer back in 2008.

It seems to me Stella and Noctis are gonna have a duel somewhere. Stella is eerily looking like to be in a Villain role here IMO.

We can see another glimpse of the a hooded figure, which is not revealed but has blonde hair and the hood looks similar to the new mysterious figure in the trailer. So i am confided that whoever is in that figure has a blonder hair. His face that we see in a brief glimpse also looks similar to his current one.

Lastly, we have seen Noctis fighting soliders on wall. It was actually shown in the 2008 reveal trailer and now they seem to have implemented it along with the Bullet Shield thingy.

yea you can see the long blond hair inside the new hooded figure(Ezio). So I am pretty sure its the same guy from 2008 trailer. I also think he will be the main rival/antagonist to Noctis.

3 acts, 3 games. That's my bet.

If you're even remotely right I truly hope they've got another mainline game already in development.

Considering vsXIII was unveiled at E3 2006, by the time they're done with sequels it will have been nearly 15 years since they've introduced a new concept/setting... and I'm not feeling this one at all.

Reminds me of a jpop group.
I was just about to say that. There's one for every taste. That big muscly guy, that dreamy guy with the glasses, the blond with the rebel hair and the main guy who is too cool for school. Just don't know where to put the guy on the far right.

That is kind of out of place, although, I welcome more diverse designs.

Jpop and that one serious guy

it all like different parts though but the two that stand out the most, the huge Samoan looking dude , and the serious English looking dude.

Whats even more weird they all look like they are from different types of music.

Well that's your loss. I'll be completely honest with you, I'll take whatever this universe has to offer in comparison to the years and years of the flowery and cartoon-y garbage we got prior.

I honestly do hope that - if we get a series of XV games - it will explore the mythology better than XIII did. At first the gods were only mentioned, suddenly TIEMTRAVEL and then Lightning is suddenly chosen both by
Etro and Bhunivelze
? That.. is just sloppy and feels forced - even for a person who enjoyed the games despite this.

Needs more women

Yup, because adding a specific gender makes a game more enjoyable.
