Nah I'd say only a few 3rd strike characters fall into the weirdo section. A lot of them are pretty plain.

I'd figure that's where Ono would want his 'personalized fighters for fighting games' goal to get to eventually.

Have a RPG something or other tied-in with a fighter and then import your guy how you wanted him/her to be in the RPG into the fighting game setting.
It'd be neat.

Alex, Urien, Sean, Necro and Haggar are the "pretty please Ono" wishlist I have right now.

Oro and Urien are a bit of a stretch. Urien is no more weird than Abel.

the Mirror is a weird Super Art. His fireballs are weird looking. He is a pallet swap sprite of one of the most unliked SF bosses.

Uhm, what? I would understand that stance in a mirror matchup, but backdashing needs to be used, abused, and cling to when it comes to characters that do not have the fastest poke, the best close ranged attacks and not enough wakeup options. Which is, coincidentally, the bottom half of the tier list, really. So if you are hating backdash while maining a super agressive, quick character, that is really just bias talking.

No, it's okay to block on wake up.

I hate how in anime games, you can get a match between two characters, in a third characters stage, with a fourth characters music.

The music playing should belong to at least one of the characters in the match.

also: Do Akuma and Gouken still have Ryu's theme remixes as their versus theme instead of their personal themes (used during arcade boss fights)?
