This is what I was talking about earlier. I'd love to see something like this. (Forgive my HORRENDOUS image editing skills.)

You could go to Posts, sort either by everybody, by region, your friends, or developer posts. You could post about the game, screenshots (marked spoiler if it's story related), having people comment or "like" it, etc. Every game would have this. A little community for every game. I WOULD LOVE THIS.

I was going to make a mock up screenshot of the Posts page but I don't have the skills. Still, you get the idea.

Pretty neat idea, it would be great if someone could bring it to Sony's attention.

Ffs screw The guy who said he all he was playing on his vita is gladiator begins...
I bought it and can't put it down. Everyone buy this game!!
Vita sequel please!!!

It's pretty great, especially assigning skill and weapon/armour builds. One of the great unsung technical brawlers in recent memory. Would love a Vita sequel indeed.

It baffles me as to why we don't have something like this.

Because that would require Sony to be actively developing Vita's OS and I don't think they are. When was the last firmware update that did something? I honestly can't even remember, and it's not like there isn't things to fix. We still have that dumb 100 items limit no matter memory card space, the browser still can't do copy/paste, and we had that nasty "Now downloading ..." glitch for way too long.

Fair.

yeah, but why should Sony pay again? it sold more than Wii U BO2 that Activision make without Nintendo paying for it, it's just really weird that even when Vita sold more units of a shitty version (Wii U got real BO2, Vita got Declassified) yet Activision skipped Vita, there is no excuse here really and not even the engine since the same engine run on Wii.

To add insult to injury Treyarch, one of the CoD A-teams is doing the Wii U port. If rumors were true none of Activision's big studios touched CoD for Vita.

I wonder whether the reason that Sony haven't "fixed" the Vita OS is that they're waiting to roll out major Vita and PS3 updates to ensure compatibility with the PS4's OS and social network?

It would need some serious patching, updating and crack-filling to get that functionality working. Hopefully, these niggles we're dealing with will be ironed out at the end of the year...

Maybe they'll have something for us at Gamescom.

I am fully expecting some kind of OS overhaul for both the Vita and PS3 at Gamescom, especially after the question was posed to Yoshida at the Beyond 300 podcast and he gave his "we are working on something but I can't say anything" laugh.

I have been hoping for a price drop on the memory cards lately. I have been playing my Vita more and more, but I only have an 8GB card that came with my system, and it makes it a real pain in the ass as someone who only buys games digitally. When I got to thinking about it though, what I would really like to see is some kind of fast wireless data transfer system between the PS4(and PS3?) and the Vita. They could just have a way to display your whole library, and it could tell you if the game is on your Vita, on your PS4, or not downloaded at all. Then you could just easily swap games on the fly between your two systems over your wireless network. On a wireless N network it would take just a minute or two to transfer even the largest Vita games, and even a G network would take only a fraction of the time a download would.

Come on Sony, wireless data transfers between systems, make it happen!

So I played some more soul sac last night and damn im loving this game. The variation of spells and monsters is fantastic. Makes combat really fun different spell sets can really change how you play.

Then I was looking though the book and saw the inside Avalon stuff. A bunch of side quests / stories. Started doing one about a merchant sorcerer and you get a nice side story to go with it. Was great. The fact you can look through these and see what the reward spells are also really helps when you want to grind to boost of fuse the spells.

So far im trying to build a set of spells tailored to each element and then I swap out a few ranged / melee spells depending on what im fighting. I think I am gonna love this even more than I loved GEB.

Tallied up the votes for GotM so far. The current leader is winning by exactly... one point! It's a close race at the top!

If you haven't voted yet, do so!

Alright, I finally got home a few hours ago and I've had time to sit down for a bit, so I can type up what the new arrangement for the monthly thread's Game of the Month is gonna be. Good ol' fashioned voting!

From today until the 30th, anyone interested in voting for next month's Game of the Month must PM me with their top 5 choices, in order of preference. If you don't provide an order, I'll assume that the order you list them in is the preference. Each game gets points in order of preference, from 5 to 1, and the game with the most points is the winner. Once a game has been chosen, I'll randomly ask someone who voted for the game as #1 to provide a short write-up for it like the one in this and the previous threads.

Criteria for voting:
  • Games voted for must have been released at any time prior to the month the thread is for, including previous months.
  • Only games released up to July 30th, the last PSN update day in July, will count for this round of voting.
  • Retail, Digital only and PlayStation Mobile games are all valid.
Note - If you vote for a game that's already been selected as GotM, I'll disregard it's placement and scroll everything else up by one. For reference, the following games have already been selected:

Persona 4: Golden
DJMAX Technika Tune
Dead or Alive 5+
Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus
Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention
Hatsune Miku Project Diva ƒ

CHOOSE WISELY.

The Amiga Brotherhood
Ok yesterday i downloaded some japanese stuff, i tried the conception 2 demo:
1)The fighting mechanism is interesting but the dungeon exploring seems repetitive/boring.
2)the idea of making soldiers starting from the stats of a person is interesting imo, but the whole baby-making stuff is extremely ridicolous and probably even immoral(you make child with teenager girls only to use them as baby soldiers).
3)the game is pleasant to see thanks to really clean graphics and smooth framerate(i dunno if 60fps or if it's stable), but it's totally a psp level game. I really hate 3ds multi.

About the god eater 2 demo, i played it only a little bit:
-graphics is really good, better than many vita games, characters and monsters are really well made, while backgrounds poligonally are at psp level but with better textures and lighting, multi with psp>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>multi with 3ds
-the base, the gameplay and menus seem to be really similar to geb, so who already played geb knows how to deal with them.

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
Just got Little King Story when I saw it was $20. Seems really swell so far.

I remember watching DBZ everyday and reading the manga but I never got into the games other than the q3 mod, and messing around with early games on PS2 iirc.

Really glad it's coming to vita, hope they make it a decent port as it should be a fun fighter but can't get too excited till I see it on it. But the footage they did show on other platforms looks really great.

Is anyone this pumped for it?

Oh I have a soul sacrifice question for anyone who knows.

With regards to the arm sigils. I see different ones require different amounts of certain items to use. However When I switched between a few non of the items were used up. SO how does it work?

Do you just need enough of an item but it doesn't actually get used when equiped?
Does it only use the items the first time you equip a sigil?

Its the only thing I cant really work out.

Also how does the power of a spell work and how does your dark / light rating effect it?

For example the giants fist does 55 power of something but it has both a combo option or a charge up mega hit option?

So if you use a few combos first, does the charge up hit become weaker seeing as the spell ends once you have done a charge attack?

Can anyone recommend me some sites that do digital delivery for PSN cards? Looking for ones that stocks UK cards as I'm considering at migrating from my AU account.

Waiting for Hot Shots to go on sale :/
Don't wait, it's worth every penny and more! Last evening we had a room with 4 total Gaffers. Did some realtime matches (all go at once, you see a colored ball that represents the other players as they go), and then stroke play, where we went one at a time, but you could see what everyone else was doing, and there are cheering, taunting, and chatting capabilities in that mode. Was great fun. And now that you can cross play with the PS Triple, it will defintiely add a lot of new players to the mix.

Bid for Power, if I'm not mistaken?!?! MAN o MAN I loved that mod. The HL mod was meh, but you could do some neat things. Didn't have the look, feel, speed, or playstyle of the Q3 one, but you could shoot a kamehameha and then curve it all over the place chasing down your opponents. I played the ps2 games up to Budokai 3, then I stopped. I meant to pick up the ps3 games, but never got around to it, and heard lackluster reviews from friends, but they don't care too much for fighting games in general, however watered down they may be. I will buy this game with absolute certainty, the idea of a 4 on 4 DBZ game is RIPE with possibilities. So yes, one could say I am about that level of pumped.

Indeed! Good times :) Although I came to it too late, usually only had a handful of players but it was a lot fun. This looks really great though.

Just saw that, it's a really great idea! Hopefully they didn't forget about it...seriously, that would be fantastic. Also a way to attach screenshots/photos - even if it linked to imgur. Not facebook -_-

I think a fellow Vitamuffin's suggestion is simply awesome.

The Vita UI should take after the Steam Library (the Bubbles work too) and have all the digital games of your account listed (whether or not they are installed on your memory card)

If it is installed, it shows as a fully opaque bubble (as it is now)
If it is not, it shows as a translucent bubble (faded out). Tapping on it requires you to download and install...

I hope so!

You just need those to have those items. They are never used up.

Sacrificing boosts your attack, saving boosts your HP.

The charge damage should be the same, but almost everyone stays away from those because charging takes too long.

Thanks for the help. Clears that up for me.

On the foreign PSN card subject, is there a way to purchase american digital cards from Amazon? My main account is American but I'm in the UK now and don't have an American card, so the only way I can think of doing it is having friends in the states get them for me.

Well, there is a way, but if you don't have an American card then you're friends would have to do it, but yes Amazon sells online game codes. Comes in $20 and $50 flavors. Code is immediately obtainable. Good luck!
