Lmao. This is why I never talk shit until the game is actually out. The reactions here are hilarioussssssssssss. Good thing I play any FPS that's fun *shrugs*

Uh, is anyone freaking out in this thread? I don't think so. So not sure what you found hilarious.

aaaaaaahahahahhahahaha
I've been here since 2011. Goodness.
Only reason I'd talk shit is because I wasted a third of my day at PAX to hardly play for 4 minutes. I'd rather wait an extra 30 and play for 15 minutes than deal with some half-assed bullshit that they couldn't even get stable.
I love how quoting neogaf is ok to do as a source. Your a straight vet. Quick edit your op and put in some shit about dice giving you the scoop on xb1 launch dates.
I only got to play post-building collapse, and plus my controls were inverted and i couldnt change them because the start menu was bugged out (probably from running via xbox one controller on pc; lack of drivers, etc). Textures looked like garbage with all the dust on everything and shooting mechanics desperately needed work as shots werent hitting, etc.
Fortunately, Ryse and Forza played and handled great.
You can't compare OPS from one architecture to another. A 7850 can easily match a 6950 and outperform it on some specific tasks.
That card cannot run bf4 or 3, for that matter, at 1080p Ultra while holding 60 fps.
I'm a huge fan of DICE and their games, which is why I was so harsh. I don't wanna make them look bad if it was just a mistake.
EA was responsible for the demo, though, right? Major Nelson probably didn't realize that it wasn't XBOX One.
Dear veteran,
Are the controls changed? I know they're switching triggers/shoulders on PS4 and there will be an option to revert (if not, I'm doomed) but I heard some crazy shit about knifing on circle, spotting on R2 and other nonsense. How was it with X1 controller?
Right, but the suggestion seemed to be that the 6950 could indeed handle this task while outperforming new consoles. What's your point? Neither can next-gen consoles.
I saw someone playing who tried to change his loadout 7 times so I believe it when he said it was stock.Did you get to play it at all? Match anything like the OP? Any other impressions from other stuff? We wanna hear it all.

Didn't the OP say they had Xbox one controllers and dummy Xbox ones on the stands? Seems like either EA or MS intended to give the impression it was an Xbox one demo - bearing mind most people won't notice the kinds of small details the OP picked up on
The Xbone controller is perfect... except the LB/RB bumpers, they are awfull, if you press them too close to the pivot, the button won't click and the input wont be registered.
If the game was on PC, did it at least use similar hardware to represent what the X1 graphics would look like?
hell nah
Man, just imagine is DICE had to lower the player count to 8 at launch to get it to work on 'next gen' system. I would point and laugh.
Hahahaha riiiiiiight.
I guess literally everyone else that has held the thing has got it wrong, then. The hyperbole here is amazing sometimes.
Hrm. Well if the One's controller is actually worse than the 360's, then by my reckoning the console has got absolutely nothing going for it at the moment. Had never noticed that the triggers were quite so fat now. Why on earth would they change something like that?
Thread has made me actually consider waiting until Titanfall launches to pick up an Xbone.
Also, Dice has a game to ship in less than two months, can't really blame then for not having new build ready just for PAX.

The increasing number of people who says the DS4 controller is better seem to raise some concerns here, how can Microsoft go from such a good controller to something slightly less favouredHaving tried the xbox one controller extensively at Gamescom, I can definitely say that no, it's not worse than the 360s. It's noticeably improved in quite a few areas and the rumble in the triggers is really sweet, but I'd say it's definitely not AS improved as MS boasts.
If I had to make a comparison with the PS4 controller, which I also tried extensively, the Dualshock 4 comes on top, and not by a few. Now if only you could have a DS4 with the sticks arranged like the Xbox controller...
You right. Uh. That's why I found people on page 1 wondering how DICE is gonna have this ready by launch date huh?
I saw someone playing who tried to change his loadout 7 times so I believe it when he said it was stock.
I knew it was running on PC and the line was longer than I'd like so I passed on playing after watching people go at it for 5 minutes or so.
If you want my PAX impressions go to the PAX thread.
What are you basing this on and what's the point in speculating?Nobody's saying that. I'm saying it would outperform new consoles alone.
Sounds like a reasonable revelation to me.
When I originally quoted you I had assumed you barely skimmed the thread but at least this confirms it.
I wonder if IGN finds this concerning
Nah it's just reactions in here similar to the previous thread that had IGN saying the consoles aren't up to par with PC, which we should have knew already. Lol.
Hrm.
Thread has made me actually consider waiting until Titanfall launches to pick up an Xbone.
.
You would make a $500 purchase decision based of what someone said in a thread? Wow
The DS3 had a lot of room for improvement and Sony have seemingly done a good job with it.The increasing number of people who says the DS4 controller is better seem to raise some concerns here, how can Microsoft go from such a good controller to something slightly less favoured

Everything will clear up come end of november
I was thinking the same thing as I typed that but at least we'll have _something_ real.TBH, I wouldn't get too hopeful in that regard.
I doubt it, PS4 GPU has far more GPGPU grunt than 6950, once developers start using more compute stuff you are screwed.
