There's no large inherent bias, for a good chunk of time this gen the 360 was the more owned or preferred console here. I would argue that the split before the reveals favored MS, don't blame people because MS tripped over their own shoe strings time and time again, not to mention the shitstorm generated by finding out about the actual shills sent here. If Larry straight talks us instead of the PR job (I get it, he's got a job to do but not being straight with people only hurts GAF) he's been doing lately I very much welcome it, if he's going to be a mouthpiece I don't see what he would have to add to the discussion unless he wants to do some customer service stuff.

Here's hoping the trolls can contain themselves, because I sure as hell don't see Yoshida (or a native English speaking Sony exec) and co. coming onto here and interacting with arguably the toughest crowd out there. Now we have Albert and Major both out in the open on Gaf.

And I honestly hope Microsoft will let Major actually speak a little more candidly if he's going to be posting on here. If not for the initial DRM fiasco, Id say the Xbox One is a far more interesting proposition based off of what is known about both consoles, up until now. Microsoft's messaging has been terrible tho, so let this be a new beginning.

I may be wrong but I think he is joining gaf to even out the balance on here. Neogaf has some influence.

There is no bias here. There is only a result of what each company earned themselves in here. So if you think you see Sony "bias" you should ask yourself why we would be so happy with them and not at MS instead of automatically thinking it's irrational bias.

Welcome Major Nelson. I used to listen to your podcast weekly back when the 360 came out and enjoyed your discussions and interviews a lot. The Xbox brand has come a long way since then, but not in a particularly good way. As a gamer, the Xbox One reveal was a real slap in the face. I'm sorry to tell that he/she is incorrect. This is indeed a great place for proper discussions about the gaming industry. Many devs in here, great people, great GAFfers making useful posts filled with the latest info and these people build the great Community that GAF is. We are here to discuss what we like about our hobby/lifestyle and there's nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

Don't waste time trying to understand someone who's emotionally invested and upset because forum posters don't like his console of choice.
