Haha I'm just genuinely curious how close the threat looks.

You're a turn 5 warrior! I suspect there aren't too many of those around. There are a lot of turn 5 paladins... that's a big victory in and of itself.

Tanking two dreadnoughts did feel pretty good/scary!

You can still have your account hacked even if you use an authenticator apparently. I'd watch out for any malware on your system that could potentially be used to access your account.

patch 2.1, which is two months off give or take, contains no new content past coil. it's only filler content that should have been in the game originally. considering how many gaps in questlines there are, i'd say they have a lot of filling to do. there's also no player housing coming then, just fc housing, so they're not even padding it by giving us non-raid content.

Not a single new MMO has been able to keep anyone happy on the endgame front. Getting to level cap is very quick in current day MMOs, and no developer can produce content to satisfy the "hardcore", and no developer ever will. Even if they did have more content at launch for end game, the hardcore would be crying out for more. Other developers like Arenanet and SOE with EQNext realize and have stated as much as well, hence them trying to go different direction.

Older MMOs were not about endgame, and just to get to level cap took far longer in the past. In making the games more "fun" and casual aspects for smoother play experiences have put a real burden on developers who are now stuck with constantly having to feed the endgame whiners. And then comes the issue where often they do nothing but focus on giving endgame stuff to do, while ignoring the rest of the game that needs attention or could be expanded upon

Sure, but considering that this is a remake of a previous game and the level system has been vastly expedited, you would think we could get A WEE BIT MORE than we have now. Only having one dungeon (AK) to run is a bid ridiculous now.

I agree, they do lack a lot currently. Game also has no pvp, which usually is a major sore point for players to have missing in a current day MMO.

I just know even if they did have more people would still be upset. Look at SWTOR, it had 2 raids, 10 hard mode dungeons, and 2 daily quest hub areas... yet that wasn't enough and within first month folks were screaming for more.

The skill differences aren't that great that you can't macro certain sets together. Your first two attacks in your combo set are largely the same after the second rotation or so. You only really lose out on the 3rd one if you're fighting from behind though you gain a powerful off-rotation attack. As a result, I've found that it's better to focus on a single position focused rotation and work in your other skills. It's also less of a headache overall because you don't have to be dancing around the mob so much.

Also, the problem with macros is that they're borked. The issue is that I think they only allow you to set /wait intervals based off your initial GCD after gear. So If you have a 2.4 wait, you can do that but you can't go lower than that even with Greased Lightning. Every time I tried, the macro would error.

I don't usually complain about end game since I'm never really pushing the limits of it. Since I oddly enough am here that's just an indication to me that it was rushed. If that's SWTOR at launch then they already have one entire system of quests over us and more than double the amount of dungeons / raids.

Well, I'm a bit tired of Farming Garuda, seeing as the pug groups are STILL too hit or miss even after the sub's kicked in. (At least they usually stick around for a few tries now.) So I think I'll be farming AK, until I get either full AK armor, or enough Philosophy Tomes to grab Darklight. THEN, I try Hydra again. The last time I fought Hydra, it did not work so well. *Curls up in corner.*

Also, small pieces of advice I can give so far.

For Demon Wall, don't get too far ahead of its attack pattern. Trying to work too far ahead of it can trip you up, and get you hit by Repel at inopportune moments. For Garuda HM, you'll probably want to zoom your camera out, until you can see most the Arena at once. This is especially true if you're Off Tanking the Adds.
