MLB probably sells about 10 copies in Europe, so there's not much risk to releasing it in March I wouldn't have thought.
January would be good - if I had to place a bet I would say January given how close to launch it was delayed - it must have either been a dreadful game or close but just not quite there.
I doubt it was dreadful, so January seems possible to me.
The game being bad (at launch and pre- patches) will do it more harm than a delay that could inject noticeable improvements.

It will be much better for the game on every front.
They will be able to put in more content and features, push the graphics as much as they can and it will be released in a period where the attention isn't monopolized by other huge franchises. If the game turns out great they have the chance to make good sales at retail instead of just being the game to give for free on PS+ at launch.
It's rare publishers release multiple games in the same timeframe, it becomes a conflict of interest. They have little in common within their genre's. But if a guy can only afford to splurge on 1 game a month, releasing 2 or 3 of your OWN titles in that time frame means that guy is buying 1 over the other. It's why exclusive releases are typically so spread out. And probably why watchdogs was delayed, so it wasn't competing with their own AC4.

This. In fact, they did mention weather during the first reveal. They probably realized they wouldn't have it by launch. But now there is time. Would be awesome if they can squeeze it in.
I think only the thrustmaster wheels are confirmed. still hoping to hear about logitech and fanatic compatibility

I'm hoping this comes out in March, then it'll be as good as it should be.

I wasn't sure whether I prefer the more colorful looking Forza5 or the more realistic looking DriveClub.
But those two short clips made it clear to me that I prefer the realistic look.
