New DriveClub build shows improvements

Isn't there a (reasonably) low limit on members in a club? We are definitely going to need to have GAF A/B/C Teams. Tryouts and such are going to be a must. Also, weekly challenges to move into the A Team would be damn cool.
Rather than having a tiered team where team A is where all the elite player goes. I think it's more interesting if all gaf team compete with each other. It'd be like MAG. Every gaffer pick a side and go all out for their own team, that was fun. Then you got story like a player switch team etc.

I'd like to join the GAFN00bs Club so that when i'm consistently dreadful i won't get kicked out. I know i won't be good enough to join the GoldGAF team. They're animals on the track.

The more i see the more i'm glad that the game's improving in leaps and bounds and the more i'm disappointed in how long i have to wait until i can play it.

After watching the latest videos released, I really think that the lighting is up on par with the reveal video now, at least the enviromental lighting. What the game graphically lacks to impress as much as the reveal video is the motion blur and dof quality and the cockpit lighting, hopefully they will improve those things to match the reveal trailer.

In the new videos the cars react in a more realistic way, which I think is great combined with the exagerated sense of speed, it gives a realistic feeling but at the same time it makes the game arcade-y enough to be super fun and exciting.

I'm all for some city tracks too, something like Vegas would be sweet as a track for this game. Imagine driving at night, high-speeding with a thousand lights all around you :).

I hope Evolution manages to put in some basic weather conditions on launch, even just sunny-cloudy-rainy would be fantastic, and then later on they can go crazy with dlc's, I would buy them.

Finally, congratulations to the newdad Rushy and all of the Evolution team, the improvements on Driveclub have been out of this world, I really can't wait to be part of the Driveclub community!

Edit: And of course I call dibs on the GAFN00bs membership. I was in the Warhawk Gaf team in the past, and it was the biggest fun I had online ever, even if I sucked hard :(

The point of having teams is to fight other team, there should be enough player for there to be multiple noob team imo lol. I'm definitely one of the noob player. Tried pacific rift online once. Felt like playing single player because everyone else is so far ahead.

Nope. Track list so far:

Canada - Oliver's Landing
Chile - Salar de Surire
India - Bandipur National Park
Scotland (UK) - Kyle (is this the same track as the older one, which we thought was Kinloch?)
Norway - Sentraltind
Antigua - ?

Did I miss any?

I'm still going for 14 countries with 6 tracks each, but it's clear that Evos aren't revisiting any country featured in their WRC series, so no:

Argentina
Australia
Cyprus
Finland
France
Germany
Greece
Italy
Japan
Kenya
Mexico
Monaco
New Zealand
Portugal
Spain
Sweden
Turkey
Wales

:(

It will be unforgivable if there are no English countryside tracks in the game. Confirm Rushy.

I do understand the need for city tracks, but they often times the least impressive tracks or areas in a racing game. Need for Speed Most Wanted looked best once you reached the countryside. And because of the focus on the city I don't think it ever looked as amazing as Hot Pursuit. With that said, this gives me another chance to bring up my DLC wish for DRIVECLUB, which is for them to include Atlantic Road

Just imagine racing through there during a thunderstorm.

I´m with you sir. Theses pictures are awesome!

I'd settle for the Isle of Man track...

Please dear God. I will buy two copies if this is in the game.

yeah... seeing new footage has definitely eased my disappointment in this being delayed.

Evolution's putting in that work... and now they don't have to kill themselves to crunch. I expect an amazing product come Feb (or whenever this is releasing).

Again this doesn't represent the final #DRIVECLUB game yet. It's just a cool moment we wanted to share ahead of a full race video coming this week.

So the final video will be out his week with the upgraded lighting and interiors!!!! :D

3rd party developers had better get their act together because right now Sony are leaving them in the dust and next gen hasn't even started yet.

I was optimistic about this game but it's looking more and more like a must-buy.

A less sim-like driving game means I can actually be decent at it and also get to enjoy succulent, next-gen car porn visuals. It just looks so damn cool.

They never will. Unless there's significant 3rd party exclusives, but that ship has sailed I think.

Every 3rd party game I'm seeing, with the exception of Battlefield, just looks like last gen in higher resolution. Sony are on another level here.

Sony's own dev teams always do, never expect top tier from 3rd party studios that have split focus on multiple platforms.

The gap was never THIS pronounced though, especially at the beginning of the generation. It's not just resolution, there's a solidity to the environments that make them feel real. The lighting, reflection, insane particle effects and density of environments are 2 or 3 generations ahead of 3rd party already. It's like going from Resistance 1 to KZ3 in one giant leap. Sony were ready for this and it shows.
