Argh... to cancel or keep. DR3, Forza, Ryse and KI look like so much fun, though. But man. $500 for mostly 720p games... hard to justify.

I'm sad.
Why be sad? If those exclusives you really want are on the Xbone - and that's what really matters to you, not price or anything else - then stick with that. You just need to make peace with the fact that multiplatform titles are not going to measure up in comparison to the PlayStation 4, now and most likely throughout this entire generation.

That being said, there is a definite Sony bias on Gaf. Not that I have an issue with it, I've really enjoyed the last two sony consoles I've owned (PS3, PS2) and I think outside of the initial issues with the PS3 they've done a fantastic job in terms of business decisions and pleasing their customers. However, the fact is the only real evidence we had about this rumor until Infinity Ward confirmed it was essentially a couple neogaf forum posts. It's fun to speculate but people were a bit too eager to act like this was fact way before we had any official statement or even anything substantial come out (like footage) that would support the validity of the rumor. Which reading the posts from those people felt more like they had an agenda against the Xbox One (probably hoping it would fail as a result of some form of karmic retribution for trying to implement some unfavorable policies) then objectively reacting to the rumor.

Do insiders track records hold no weight with you then?

Those "couple" of neogaf posts were from insiders or people close to insiders

There leaks are verified by the mods here and require 2 sources or insider in question faces instant ban

This is not your regular gaming forum my friend

So can someone explain me why there's a 4k HDMI cable coming with the Xbone? Is that some kind of joke which I don't get?

A guy at work literally thinks he will be gaming at 4k with Xbox One if he simply buys a 4k TV. I haven't bothered to explain upscaling and native resolutions to him. Of course, he also thinks everyone knows the Xbox One is more powerful by a mile becuase of balance. I should really be a friend and encourage him to go out and buy one at the first chance he gets.LOL

It baffles me that IW isn't capable of releasing Ghost on at least 900p. The game isn't the most demanding game out there, and certainly not the prettiest one.

I guess the bunker has a calming effect. You speak reason and preach no butthurt.

A cross gen gaming running at only 720p is crazy. Not even 1366x768 or 1600x900? I really wish a dev working on BF4/CoD would spill the beans on what the major bottleneck is.

That mean it going to be like a Game War II (PS2, XB, GC) whereas the graphics is no matter, and the exclusive titles are matter.

I think if folks are agonizing about this, the best thing for them is honestly not to buy at launch. Buying a console at launch is a unique experience that involves assuming some risk, and you have to be *really* into that new-console-smell experience. Regardless of which console you buy at launch (or both) you're probably going to experience a bit of a new-game drought for the next year, so you have to be totally certain about the hardware you buy, and getting there first has to outweigh the frustrations that might follow during each console's first year on the market.

If you're not sure, wait a year, and you'll have a much better picture of which exclusive games are out there or forthcoming, how all of the multiplats compare, how polished and feature-complete each OS is by then, and so on.

If people are agonizing over the decision, there's nothing wrong with deferring that decision until more information is available.
