The auto aim for dual analog was ridiculous. Still, I did pretty well with the remote. I hope they toned it down in Ghosts.

Oh, and there will be no DLC as long as Activision in not on the eShop. I don't think it has much to do with sales. They have zero eShop presence and DLC has to be on the eShop not in app.

This thread is awesome. I love Nintendo-Gaf, it's so nice to be excited about Nintendo things and find a place that consistently bolsters my excitement. Feels good to be a part of it!

Should go without saying, I already have my copy of Ghosts pre-ordered.

It was just the same as the amount of dual analog autoaim on PS360.

It definitely is excessive. Many players would be shocked to know how bad they are at aiming without it (not entirely their own faults; the control scheme is just garbage to begin with).

This will be the game that breaks my GF into the FPS genre. She loved Metroid Blast in Nintendo Land and asked me about other games like it that had pointer controls. I figure I get this one since BO2 is older, and I suspect this one will be the better game of the two.

The only games I plan on buying this year are Ghosts and Mario 3d world. Both look awesome, and I really enjoyed the Multi-player on Blops 2.

The price in New Zealand was absolutely ridiculous (like "FUCK YOU, NINTENDO. JUST MAKE YOUR CONSOLE DIE ALREADY!" ridiculous) so I ended up importing it. Means I'll have to wait for it to make its glorious journey from the motherland, but it'll be worth the wait.

Few reasons why I bought it:

  • Wii U is my main console now.
  • I like to support third parties on Nintendo consoles, even if they don't support me, because otherwise who am I to complain, right?
  • Off-screen play pretty much saved my relationship. (Jest.)
  • The community will be less toxic.

Plus, I love dogs. They better not kill that fucking dog.

For COD games the best approach is to buy at launch, enjoy the game for 3-4 months until you get bored then trade it in for $30 credit. So essentially the game cost you 30 bones.

Yeah, that is quite a good idea although if the online presence is good, it may be worth keeping it for a while.

Still like that? When will people develop better taste in game modes? It makes something like this impossible to buy at full price even when you want offTV multiplayer..

You can go on search and destroy on the PS3 version and it would have more people than all the Wii U playlists combined, that's sad.

Userbases don't happen overnight. In my experience with the Wii U, people tend to gravitate where they can get the easiest matches. It's easy as hell to get a TDM game, so people go there. On top of that, it seems like it's a fairly popular mode on other systems as well. If people purchased the game and stuck with it, then more people would branch off, but when it takes 20 minutes or more to get a game, that tends not to happen, so people go back to TDM. I think Treyarch tried to get more Wii U owners into other modes, but that didn't work so well. These kinds of trends have to really happen at the beginning of the game's life. Hopefully with Ghosts, more people will spread out in the beginning which will allow other modes to get more play.

I have a gaming PC and I generally can't really stand the endless enemy respawn game design present in the SP CoD campaigns. That said, if it's a solid port I'll be looking to grab this this when I pick up my Wii U for some reason. The off screen play sounds great (I'm a big fan of the Wii U gamepad). Any idea as to when the reviews will be going up?

I get off screen play with the PS4 versions now so no. Otherwise I would, because I love being able to play consoles in a handheld...

But I'm thinking about getting it now. The thing is I don't like CoD multiplayer. So the campaign has to be something special. I really wish we got games like Turok 2 or Perfect Dark again on consoles. I'll see how this shakes out though, I may pick it up on Wii U.

I haven't played a Call of Duty game since the very first on the PC. I haven't even really played an FPS since Quake 3 and Halo 1. My only modern console is the Wii U, and I am very tempted to try this. I am disappointed to hear that DLC is unlikely and that patch support will be brief. I am itching to play an FPS so badly that I may go for a PS4.

It is amazing Wii U got so many shit for being 720p and now suddenly the media is going for 720p vs 1080p does not matter ... #resolutiongate. I am calling you out press guys, I can tell the difference, just that I happen to love the gamepad and the Wii U.

I know people (from other forums, who are not on GAF to my knowledge) who were incredibly interested in resolution comparisons when it came to 360 v PS3 or PS360 v Wii, but now their vested interest has an apparent disadvantage, "resolution doesn't matter".

For myself (as a fan of Wii who was never bothered with resolution shortcomings), my main concern is framerate consistency and screen tearing absence. If that is achieved I'm not too concerned with other visual factors once functionality and clarity is there.

But it is funny to see vested interest people change their tune when it is convenient.

I played blops 2 on both 360 and Wii U. Wii U is far better experience online. Far better. I don't have to mute little kids screaming curse words on wii u, lol.

Don't have it pre-ordered but I definitely plan to pick it up. Enjoyed the MP on BLOPS2 although I did get sick of not being able to find Demolition matches.

Also I'm hyped for this extinction mode and hope the Wii U version will have a decent amount of people playing. I didn't really have a hard time finding co-op partners for BLOPS2 zombies so hopefully that carries through.

Also, as mentioned above, the reason the Wii U is the easy choice for me (also own a 360) is the community is much less vile, making it more enjoyable (even if my k/d is lower!)

I haven't played Black Ops 2 but it's what I've heard. It tends to be the case for smaller and newer gaming communities though so it's not really a stretch. It might be the case for the PS4/Xbox One versions as well. But the Wii U community does seem pretty nice as a whole regardless.

Very weak source so i'd take it with a grain of salt given he already got the PS4/XB1 resolution rumor wrong (and he even said this rumor was shaky) but go to 4:10 in this video. Probably BS, but hey technically nothing has been confirmed yet so I didn't see any harm saying it was a rumor.

Will there be a zombie mode or something similar in this game? If so I may pick it up. Last one I played on a Nintendo system was World at War which was great with the Zapper but I was bummed that it didn't have the zombie mode. :(

I have had this preordered since August, and have no intentions of canceling, so I will be there day one. Personally, I can't do every yearly CoD iteration because the amount of changes each one typically gets isn't enough for me to warrant another purchase. But since the last one I put in some decent time with was BO1, I am ready to jump in with this version since the long enough break should make it feel fresh again, and the features/gamemodes this game is implementing do sound pretty cool. I don't often here myself say this, but I am legitimately excited for this version of CoD. I also have a few friends that will be picking it up on the Wii U as well, which should make the experience even better.
