After a certain point you just have to sit back and be impressed at how badly a game's performance can fail.
You guys realize that your display is outputting 60 Hz regardless, right?
Well, I hope perhaps Infinity Ward decided to go 720p because it will help the frame-rate, but at this point I'm not expectant.
If BF4 can go 900p on PS4 why couldn't COD have? 1080p is all well and good but frame rate issues? Euugh, thats the worst.
Doesn't help COD isn't a looker anyway. Seems like IW stretched themselves too thin, though if the 360 version is fine I guess at least they're smart enough to prioritise the version that will sell the best.
Sit back. Sit far back. After a certain point you just have to sit back and be impressed at how badly a game's performance can fail.

Man if PS4 is struggling I hate to think what it'll be like on Xbone.
isn't bf4 60fps on both ?
Most of these framerate drops described sound more like technical glitches related to the PS4 OS, UI, or streaming issues. There's no way Infinity Ward would allow regular noticeable framerate drops down to below 30fps... or "slow down to a crawl" as one reviewer mentioned. These kinds of massive framerate drops are usually an indicator of a streaming or OS bug, rather than the actual graphical horsepower of the system's CPU/GPU.
You realize you will see every game in 60 Hz as your output right?

Yeh I think so? I would assume (hope?) Dice went 720p (XBO) and 900p (PS4) to keep 60fps, seems like a smart move. BF4 looks great as well.

Wow.... Occasional drops from 60 is now more of an issue than 125% less pixels and not native display??!?? Are you fucking kidding me, and oh look the same old MS defence force for the rescue. Hell if the mighty 360 can manage it, and yet both Sony boxes cannot then I guess next gen is cancelled.... Let them have 360!!! Ahhh the hypocrisy is astounding!!
This game by all accounts runs crap on uber high end pc (and I am sure the reviewers know that) even the video for the x1 version has terrible frame drops for no reason at points.
Me thinks this game is now officially a skip.
Loving dat ps4 framerate hyperbole!!!
Yeah, in a game like this FPS should always take priorityI have a hard time believing that they'd go with 1080p if that implied frame-rate issues, might as well lower the res to 900p like BF4 or even 720p. Pretty dumb move if true.

PS4 Campaign doesn't look to bad lol

When you watch the DF performance video, the 360 version has very clear drops in framerate, it does not (as a number of the quotes suggest) maintain a solid 60fps.

Watch the 2nd video that monitors the framerates.
Im pretty sure i saw people notice it in the X1 youtibe video too.
Don't expect the Xbox One to struggle, necessarily.
PS4 by all accounts is roughly 50% faster than the Xbox One in graphics rendering, and yet it's rendering 125% more pixels here. It was pretty obvious that the resolution gap was too large all else being equal. Something had to give, and apparently it was the framerate.
Hardly ! Looking back yeah abit ragey but not even Luke warm! It is just the double standard of games reviewing now is getting silly.hoooboy that's a lot meltdown to take in all at once.
Totalbiscuit posted his PC impressions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAgc43e-zp4
and there are even drops on Sli Titans... Sounds like the game is just a mess overall.

What shitty engine optimization. Look at those framerate drops.
So the game is fucked on both next generation consoles and PC. Lovely job Infinity Ward and Activision.

The reviewers all specifically call out the PS4 version as the one with the issue in comparison to the others. Why?Here's DF's Blops 2 Face-Off.

In action segments the frame rate drops to 30fps, but more than that, you can see frame drops are pretty common. I don't know why people have this belief that COD on consoles runs at a locked 60fps. It never has.
There are no hard numbers. The drop from 60 to 50 is nowhere near as noticeable as 125% more pixels, which is why people say things like "cod is solid 60" when we know it is anything but. We really need to better dimension what we're talking about.I'm one of those crazy people that actually likes fpses stabilized between 30 fps and 60 fps rather than rock solid 60, but you guys are crazy if you think the difference between 720p and 1080p is anywhere near as noticeable as frame drops. I would need to actually see two different systems running the game at two different resolutions to tell the resolution issue but frame drops are obvious. This isn't to say the XB1 version is preferable, but just that there's a pretty decent reason for reviewers thinking one is noticeable but not caring about the other, and it's not bias.
Treyarchs doing it right? Might be heheh Black Ops 2 was dope on the Wii U. The Wii U trumps them allSo the WiiU is the definitive version after all.....

Lol if you believe the ps4 is weaker then bone, the xbone is actually weak. This game was just rushed for next gen and is why it's having problems on both xbone and the other next gen consoles.X1 - weak console is weak.
PS4 - lazy devs are lazy.
So awesome.

The Metro journo who grilled Mark Rubin sure thought the PS4 version looked noticeably better.
Giant Bomb at least reported frame rate issues on all three consoles.
What makes you so sure? You don't have to defend the PS4 power as we all have seen KZ and we know what the machine is capable of.
OS bug that cuts the frame rates in half when some smoke appears. That's a new one.
OK, you win this day ;PYou realize you will see every game in 60 Hz as your output right?
