But every year? Xbox 360 didn't receive its first price cut till 2007, 2 years later. Wii didn't get it till 2009, 3 years later. Even the PS3 which was ridiculously priced stayed at its initial 499$ price drop price for a few years.

That sounds like the most puketastic idea I've ever heard of, beyond just questions of input lag and image quality.
I love this thread, and I love that people are posting Ninty stuff (even if some are bashing it for no goddamn reason). It's not like the PS4 has perfect image quality either. :/

That's what I thought. I'm not sure what kind of rig that was taken with but I suspect he used those settings for the simple purpose of taking screenshots. I don't think the game is playable on even the fastest cards using those settings.
On my system, however, those settings are 100% unplayable. That same rooms runs around 5 fps when using similar settings (not sure about 3840x1920, but I tried downscaling from 2160p while using 130% resolution scaling + 2x MSAA). My point is that it doesn't even begin to represent the PC version of the game as nobody can use those settings at a playable framerate.
I agree, the PC image quality is better. What's up with the missing curtains and streamers though? I'll have to mess with settings to see which setting allows for those.

My guess is that it depends on your graphics card, kind of like how PhysX stuff will be missing if you don't have an Nvidia card you know?

Yeah, it's interesting that it's present on PS4.
I'm using a GTX680, so kind of a mid-range card, but with a mix of high/ultra settings.
Yeah, there's a lot of bad shots in here. Kind of ruining the thread.

You know, I initially didn't like Killzone: Shadow Fall's visuals because it seemed like they simply doused everything in either orange, blue, or grayscale just like a standard Hollywood film, but thanks to this thread I surprised myself when I could distinguish it from other shooters because of how prominent orange and blue are throughout the game. It's excellent that the game found a way to be visually distinctive in such a popular genre!

OP should set some rules, two screenshots per post etc.
IQ is pretty good. On occasion the post process AA kind of fails but most of the time it's very clean. None of the media for the game does it justice.
Yeah, it looks rather similar to the PC version of The Run though it takes place in a much larger world.
The Run was absolutely AWFUL on PS360, though. Seriously one of the worst performing racing games I've ever seen.
