Oh well done . Easy is not so easy is it!?! Funnily enough that's exactly how I played it too. I think I only quit out and re-started a couple of times. The first time was because of an annoying glitch where one of my favourite snipers clipped i.e. fell right through the floor to outer space :/.

I just started XCOM:EU (have only completed two missions after the tutorial), and chose 'normal' difficulty - you folks have me doubting the wisdom of that now.

Just over two hours to go for Tower of Guns early access on Indie Game Stand.

$1 gets you a Steam key when it drops; game has been greenlit already. The current release is extremely playable and bug-free. I've played over 10 hours so far and I highly recommend it.

The gameplay is very fun and fast, with excellent difficulty scaling (so if you're intimidated by the pace of old-school FPS, don't be scared!) and a solid variety of weapons, upgrades, and environments. The overall design is top-notch and is really what makes the game more than just 'fps + roguelike'--they (he) really nailed the throwback style without any trace of cheap nostalgia.

As for recommendations, I don't know. What kind of game you like?

In any case, I think it's best to wait for the big sales to start and then start reading recommendations about games on sale. Otherwise we would be spending our time here just recommending about a third to a half of the Steam library.

Speaking of Deus Ex, I think there was another patch for it? PixelVision skin is broken for looking at which game is updating so I couldnt see for sure what it was and couldnt click on news to see the patch notes. Any word on what the update may have been for?

Did DE:HR DC got updated today? I guess they are just fixing any bugs left by yesterday's big patch.

i got dsfix by durante for dark souls, and the LCD textures pack (i'm scared the HD textures pack would rip my 650 apart and give me low framerate? anyone have any experience with that combo?). anyway, any other mods for dark souls that are really good? i heard there's an hd text mod that helps. but wondering if i should install anything besides dsfix and lowest common denominator textures (makes the shittiest textures in the game good, as opposed to HD which raises everything which i worry would kill my framerate)

I'm surprised you can do that, GT 425M is pretty low end, might be the low resolution your game is running on.

There was already 1 big patch Monday for Deus Ex.

A patch has just been released to address a number of bugs and issues that affected some players of Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut.

What exactly has been fixed? This right here:

AI Bug Fixes
The Personality Dialog no longer disappears when talking to Chase;
Chet Wagner no longer missing;
Sarif dialog fixed when using pheromones.

Graphic Fixes
Black material - Fixed texture problem on the base of Detroit convenience shops;
Black wall in Sarif HQ near the entrance fixed;
Bright green textures instead of metallic textures in Hengsha kitchens fixed;
Fixed textures tiling issues in Adam's apartment floor and wall, Detroit grass and corridors;
Fixed floor tiling issue in Detroit apartment carpets;
Fixed black material on Tai Yong Medical walls.

Sound/Music Fixes
Fixed stuck sound issues;
Megan intro music stops playing in the walk and talk;
Fixed audio glitches in level load;
Fixed incoming commentary sound glitch when the system is disabled;
Music no longer stalling when performing an alt-tab.

Features fixes and additions
Setup dialog: now possible to change settings outside of the game;

I reckon gt425 could play new AAA games at 720p, low settings, 30fps. So basically a ps3/360

Besides DSFix itself, you need High-Res UI and Subtitle Fonts and Quelaag texture fix.
