just heads up.
i am not sure if this is news worthy or not.
but my imported ps4 from USA is 110 voltage. however, by mistake i put it on 220v yesterday and i played for hours " only noticed today its in 220v
and no smock effect or heating or anything. so i take it the PS4 is dual voltage out of the box. i will post this in the US PS4 thread as well. this wasn't known before was it ?

It was known. Hard to find any PSUs that isn't dual voltage these days, but thanks for confirming it.

And about this GAME price thing. On a lot of the games you get £10 off when bought with the console which is why they are such high prices to begin with. Otherwise the company would make basically no money
COD you get for £40 with the console as well.
And all the people saying how great Gamestation was before GAME bought them. You guys realise that the CEO of GAME now is the guy who used to be CEO of Gamestation right?

I think they are still sorting out some of the day 1 Xbox One orders before starting with ours.

Yeah the £50 price annoys me too, £60 is just insane, I expect a special edition for that much, not a standard.
Hopefully Game can just try selling games for £50/60 and online will get back to £30-40.
Unsure about this MGS V Ground Zeroes too. It is really sounding like it'll be £30 for a demo, hope they give a time span we can expect soon.
What they could have done is just give the prologue for free, then everyone who's even remotely interested would be more likely to buy it and seeing it'd probably end on a cliffhanger, they'd be much more likely to invest in phantom pain, but of course they wouldn't have even considered that.

Also thinking of another game to get for PS4 outside of Knack/KZ. Thinking of getting either ACIV or BF4... ACIV attracts me because of the remote play impressions and that its a different genre kinda to KZ/Knack. BF4 attracts me...mainly because of the graphics, ha ha and if it supports split screen, would be awesome to play with my brother.
Hopefully Game can just try selling games for £50/60 and online will get back to £30-40.

I am only getting my PS4 from GAME because I will be able to get it minutes after release just after midnight, after this console launch though I will rarely buy from them again, maybe once a year

This is true! Working the midnight launch and then the next day will limit the time I can play mine until Friday evening though
. Will be awesome to see everyone getting their PS4s. I will probably be unbearable to work with when we take delivery of them. I even got excited when we got the shell of the PS4 for display about a month ago lol

It's strange to think that it's coming out next Friday. I still need to use up my £9.22 of GAME credit to pre-order BF4.
By the way, those of you complaining about GAME should check out GameStop UK. Their prices are competitive and from what I've heard in the Cheap Arse GAFfer thread, their service is pretty decent too (but don't quote me on that). I know I'll probably be using them a fair bit this generation if they stay competitive.

yeah - hopefully the £60 games is just so they can do the £10 off when you buy at launch to get people to buy more than the hardware. I don't see that pricing lasting long after launch.
and CoD is free at launch if you trade in the PS3 version at the same time you pick up your console

Didn't reset mine and i've added 3 codes to it in the last week, the lastest being last night. Been getting cashback payments from Topcashback and turning them to Amazon vouchers as you get a 5% bonus on the payout. £88 down so far, the rest will just come off my credit card on despatch now.

Just discovered that my local store (where I preordered PS4) will sell PS4 since November 28, at 9:00 PM. They will give me also a free DualShock 4.
So, my day one is closer than expected.
Now, they asked me to upgrade the preorder of PS4 to the PS4 Killzone megapack, but I am not sure I want upgrade, because I have no interest in PS4 Eye.

Amazon.de are so great. Last night I got a 20 off code for either Lego Marvel, Injustice, Madden or NBA Live for having a PS4 on preorder. Not the most stellar choices but I applied it to Lego Marvel which I sort of wanted anyway.

Amazon has used "amazon logistics" twice for me and it SUCKS. Takes forever to come and no time on when the package will be with you and sometimes they dont bother knocking at your door

Failing a surprise late pre-order, you'll almost certainly find one in-store somewhere if you're willing to queue / get up early to look around. There will inevitably be units at supermarkets (24 hour Tesco - and probably Asda - will have them at midnight, but phone ahead because not every store will), Argos and similar, but there's no absolute guarantee, of course, that they'll be at the most convenient locations and they likely won't be available for long.

Fuck it, just canceled my PS4 preorder from 11th June!
(still have the KZ bundle from amazon.de, I don't care anymore that they don't tell a shipping date, as long as it comes before Christmas... Maybe until then a bigger Firmware Update will also make it more usable before I get my hands on it )

Hello my good fellow GAFfers, today I got a call form my local store because they wanted to write which bundle I would be interested in. The one with just the PS4 or the Bundle with Killzone.
I went for the one with the killzone because the price was good, still no confirmation for the midnight launch (if is there going to be one) and no confirmation about getting the PS4 games on release day in Stock. They have pre-orders for all of them (they even said all of the launch titles they will get) but they are still not sure about having them in stock.
If they have them in stock I would really like to have at least one more game but I still need to think since my budget is small (and I'm only paying a very small fraction of my PS4 thanks to having/saving vouchers for almost one year). Either way... always hoping for the best.

Good luck in getting another game at launch, I'm leaning towards adding Knack to my collection given all the positive GAF impressions in the thread.
Thanks! I really got interested in Knack after watching Yoshida playing in the Live Stream on Twitch. The game just had this relaxing music and the colors were really vibrant which makes a good choice if you are picking a FPS with lot's of headshots, killings and so on. It's a good fit to balance genres in my opinion.
