Just downloading now - I didn't think I was going to pick this one up, I have a ton of backlog on the vita, but this thread.


Actually now its copying the songs to some folder or other - kinda wanted to start the game not wait ten minutes while its moving files.


the vita really is slow with downloading, installing and updating - at least it is solid as hell once its ready to go.

edit for tiredness: I started the wrong bubble! (the copying is my fault not the vitas)

Anyways, I'm excited to start playing. I have an exam on Monday so I probably won't boot it up until Tuesday, but I'll be making sure to bring my Vita when I go home for Thanksgiving break!

I stopped by Target today, and the Vita section was down to 6 slots. The one labeled Tearaway was empty.

The Best Buy near me does this all the time. So much so that if I'm going to pick up anything other than a huge AAA release I just ask an employee to find it for me. It's usually still in the back :(

Oh man, I got to a point where the game was over and I was devastated. "Already!?! NOOOO :'("

But it wasn't. At all. Still have a long ways to go.

Seriously. This game, man. It is so amazing.

I see it as a smart decision. Instead of jumping around or doing stupid stuff when you simply want to talk to a character is much more retarded. Having a dedicated button to trigger dialogues, no such thing happens.

I played about 15% I guess based on the pause screen and what a wonderful game this is. I'm terrible at drawing with my finger though! Still was pretty proud of the pumpkin I made considering.

This is the one I made. Still a work in progress though (sword and shield may be removed because the get crumpled up- they were a pain to make too DX).

I can't believe how smooth everything runs and plays. Only played for about 2 hours because I'm switching between this and Zelda 3DS right now, but it feels so responsive, fast and fluid. I'm a sucker for this stuff and it shows that MM absolutely took the best approach in designing a product for the Vita.

Chapeau.

Am I the only person that's purposefully avoiding doing everything on their first run through so that I have reason to go back? Usually I'll try and do everything as I go, but everything in this game is such a joy.

Was trying to do this earlier and wasn't sure how to handle the hat but you nailed it :)

Can you just put the shield on the backpack?

Was playing the Between the Pages level while sitting on the toilet. Game asks me to take a picture of the You's world, and the camera promptly activates to reveal my pants around my ankles.

Thought I'd better wait till later before I try to encapsulate the beauty of this world in a single image.

This game might be risky to play on the toilet haha.

Anyway this game keeps on delivering.

How exactly does the character creation work, Gaf? Is every different colour I'm seeing more or less a layer that you cut out with your finger and rotate/manipulate/etc? Looks like pure, unadulterated fun. I'm a sucker for aesthetic customisability.

I need a touch pen for this game, drawing with finger is real pain.
Anything about the patch? Does retail version in NA have it? PSN ver is "Trial & Unlock" only, even if bought full download from the store. Saves are "Trial & Unlock"as well

Should I go digital or retail? I'm very tempted to download it, game is just under a gig and I have 4-5gb left on my card. Screw it, downloading it!

Missing 5 confetti from the second area and it's driving me crazy! This game is gonna take a while for me considering I will have done the first two stages 3 times each before moving onto the third!

I was having a little trouble getting into the game at first, since I was worried that your abilities were going to be limited to touch-screen jumping, etc. But after unlocking some abilities, I'm really having a great time now. I'm so glad to play a new game that has an interesting 3D world to explore, it feels like it's been so long.

I haven't done the trophy myself, but doesn't a tower of 6 show up
as you're preparing to launch the digger to escape from the underground cavern?

Taking my time, just finished the second level, going for 100% as I play each stage. Game's so good. I can't say it enough, this is one of the best 3D platformers I've ever played.
