Just got a code from Amazon for $30 and got an error when entering , it didn't add a year to my account just an error and now says code is no longer valid...think I'll wait a bit and see if it straightens itself out

I just ordered mine a few minutes ago and the code was on my order confirmation page as soon as I checked out.
Now if Sony's store was just operational..

Guys, if you're getting error messages trying to redeem your codes, it might be okay. I bought a second PS+ card from Gamestop this morning, tried to redeem, got the error... but checked the services list on my PS3 and it showed the additional year on my account. I'm good until March of 2016 now.
The site is getting hammered, I can't even log in.

Yeah the farthest I've gotten was to the "confirmation" screen but I can never push it all the way through.

PSA: If you try to enter a code too many times in a short period of time, PSN can block your account so you can't redeem any codes for a period of 24 hours. When you're blocked the message says that the code expired or is no longer valid. PSN is having some troubles so unless you really need to redeem them right now just wait to redeem until PSN is ok.
I got logged in but it times out when making any changes to the account including adding my new mailing address and redeeming the code.
Meanwhile, the clock is ticking on Dragon's Dogma...

I just got off the phone with US PlayStation customer support...they said that there will be NO discount through the PSN/SEN store...
the website is "confusing" and the CSR said he "expects lots of calls" about this today....but that you must buy the codes/cards through outside retailers to receive $29.99

I'm just ordering one since I'm testing the purchase things even if you aren't fro the US. I'm waiting to see the offer appear on the PSN store since it's supposed to be available in Canada (and it would qualify me for the buy 60 and get 10 back). I'm already subscribed well into 2015 so 3 more years will bring me into 2018 which is more than enough. It seems to be working so I bought Max Payne 3 as well.
I'm going to be waiting on the next 3 extra months promo to redeem it.

Only ordered 1 since these deals seem to come around each year, and I already spent a lot on the 'family's' Christmas present already.
But yeah, Amazon got my money. Would have liked to do the Sony side since I was planning on getting this and another game for the Vita to get that $10 credit but now I'm skipping the game and the card on PSN and will get everything somewhere else.

yup....i grabbed one from Amazon first thing when i woke up this morning because i would have punched myself for missing the deal altogether...but i have like $15 sitting in my PSN wallet so i was gonna grab two from Sony and use whats left in my wallet as well....
so i sat refreshing the Sony page until 9am EST (when their call center opens) and gave them a ring....after being on hold for ~20mins thats what the dude told me...
he was kinda funny about it...after i explained the situation he gave a long "yeaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh....we're gonna get a lot of calls about this today"
so after the convo, i hopped on Amazon and bought another...so at least i know im good for two years...i know there will be deals like this again...i have not paid more than $35 for XBL Gold in God knows how long...

same here, had some credit on the gs card, hope it took it, put in all the info, credit card should only be billed 14 bucks
I could have sworn someone said they expired in Jan., though someone should probably correct me on that (I'm sure codes don't really have an expiration date unless via promos). As for the $5 video credit, that has to be used by the end of the year.

Thee's something that doesn't make sense in all of this. Since this promo is to made available to Canada, I have to wonder where and when? If not from the PSN store, I just don't see anything. Unless the promo being made "available" is buying from the US amazon store or something?
I won't trust anyone in this until the day has passed and will keep checking for whatever might happen or not lol.
