How good do you guys think Mateo Kovacic will be in 2-3 years?
He's one of those strikers who don't score a lot of goals but have good movement / can hold up well / generally improve the team. Seems like a good player but not the right fit, at least as a replacement to Hooper who was an out-and-out 20-30 goals a season poacher.
Buying someone to partner up with him in January might be an idea though, but we're looking at the calibre of player such as James Vaughan currently (lol). If I were Pukki I'd bail out.
Hard to say, since he's at Inter. He's certainly very talented, but I don't see him blossoming under Watchman Mazzarri. Needs a Coutinho-like move.
Yeah, he's probably Inter's best player. He's also 27, so he's likely reached his full potential. He'd definitely improve United's midfield, but let's just say he's not on his way to become the next Vidal.
That's good enough for me. Right now United need to greatly improve the quality of their starting and rotational midfielders. So long as Guarin is reasonably better than Cleverley and Anderson then I wouldn't have the problem with the signing. Bring in the decent midfielders first and once you have a solid base you can then go for the world class player.
Trust in youtube and the Moyes laboratory. Looks like he has pace, balls, a shot.
Not frightfully exciting, though. Looking for a controller, a composed-in-the-raging-storm motherfucker to link the imbecilic defenders to the weaponry up front. Granted, we're probably looking for a few kinds of midfielder at once. But the Willy C. clips get me harder than video of Guarin running around.

Willy looks good, but is also very slow. We'd probably have the slowest midfield on Earth with Giggs, Fellaini, Carrick, and Willy. I still think Willy would be a good buy though as he's better at stopping attacks than everyone we have right now.
Even if he isn't top quality, he'd do a good jon for us just by being better than Cleverley and Anderson. I'm basically reiterating what I said above. Improve our options in midfield and then go for the slam dunk player. Even if we miss out in the worldie we'll at least have a functioning midfield.
Kovacic and Guarin are good players. Too bad they play for Inter.
Thinking about it, I find it ridiculous that they spent that kind of money (15/20m, I don't remember) for Kovacic seeing how they treat young, promising players. Coutinho would be perfect for Mazzarri's team and Donati is way better than that fake Maicon impersonator they have now, I don't even know his name. Also, Longo > Icardi.

Thought as much. Funny thing is that he doesn't seem to fit in any of the bigger clubs and he had same kind of problems in Schalke too. Maybe he should just either agree to play in smaller teams or return to Finland. Finnish media would kill him though if he did that, people here are expecting him to be next Litmanen/Hyypiä lol.
Thanks for the opinion though, it's harder to keep to track of Finnish players since most of them play in leagues which are harder to follow.

This is my problem with it. Also Wilbur was essentially banned for making a video and posting it on whatsapp . Nothing to do with here. He didn't ask anyone to post it or egg on sleepless. From what I can see he was banned for being in a video.
