So its going to be like that Half life 2 mod The Hidden.

I'd be fine with that. That mod was a ton of fun.

Hopefully they can mix up the monster abilities enough that some matches are stealthy hide and seek type affairs while others are all out combat or anything in between.

While not a big fan of L4D, this idea has me all kinds of excited.
I've always wanted a game like this. So to see the concept finally become reality is something special. Hope they can pull it off.

Haha, Gaf has become such a bitter place for gaming lately. Everything is garbage and every new game is the worst game ever.

Anyway, i'd love to see some gameplay.

Yeah I am noticing this too. It's getting pretty bad. Every new idea sucks, every new product sucks, every new game shown is " not my style of game, hype gone " kind of crap. Has been occuring since Gamescom when Sony showcased 15-20 new PS4 games but the next day no games were shown for the system lol. Since then it is non-stop.

Interesting multiplayer idea here. 1 player is the hunter, 4 other players are the hunted. I like the idea, it could be a ton of fun and make for some real interesting moments within the matches.

The hunter could pick apart teams that are not working together and apart, while it could become an interesting fight when the team is working together to stay alive. I'm intruiged to see what sort of abilities the hunter player has. If there is no way to really break the team apart, how could a single hunter player kill anyone in a team of 4 other players are just standing around waiting?

Maybe be able to set up traps? Snipe?

I have wanted a good asymmetric PVP game for years. This gets me so, so excited.

What I would really want is a 3-team PVP game where 2 teams are "humans" fighting each other as in COD or battlefield but there is another 1-person team who is a monster, or overpowered greatly. Therefore the teams have to score against the other team and collaborate against the monster when he is on a rampage.

But seriously, as a downloadable game for about $10, it seems pretty cool. As a full $60 retail release, there's no point buying it since the multiplayer will be dead on launch.

By forgettable you mean mind blown so you cannot use it anymore because of the awesome!

Lol!

This looks completely devoid of fun and not worthy of my interest. On any level whatsoever, I can't find anything to be excited about regarding this game.

It looks like a popcorn fart.

Hooray. Another online-only game.

That nobody played and was one of the best mods ever? Yeah. Like that one. Just with a monster instead of some invisible guy. And some generic sci fi marines instead of normal marines. And a jungle instead of some factorys.

Motherfuck, it sounds like Predator. I really like the concept, I've been wanting this kind of multiplayer game for a while now.

Seriously. It's becoming unbearable. People have no trust in new IPs or creativity anymore.

Another online focussed title? That's disappointing. (Everything else about it looks fairly interesting, which I would likewise say about L4D.) I guess that's going to end up being a lot of what this gen will be about; the death of the single player experience. I'm already lamenting it.

Look at todays Kojima tease thread. Most of the posters want reboots, sequels and remakes.

What's wrong with online by the way? There are more than enough single player games. Online games will stay interesting because they never play the same.

If it was F2P i could see it doing alright. But Full price for a game that is limited to only 5 player matches doesn't sound good at all.

I like the concept, but I think it will get lost in the upcoming titles for those systems.

edit: I think I misunderstood the 4v1 aspect. On second thought, yea fuck no on this one. I was thinking the monster was controlled by various players(ie: the monster would have different appendages players could control). If it's straight-up 4v1, then no thanks.

will read more into it but honestly L4D was fun, but playing with random people online is getting less and less fun in every game.

I'll have to really, really love the game to get into multiplayer shooters anymore. Battlefield 4 has sucked me in despite all the issues and it not being very effective playing with randoms, so it does happen.

Based on one maybe-screen shot and a cover.

Ok.

Let poor sales wash these turds away and we can have our great single-player, offline, AAA games again.

Why the hell can't we have both? Like we do now?

Seriously, I really hope this isn't a full price game. It would be like paying $60 for Call of Duty Search & Destroy mode, or $60 for Splinter Cell: Blacklists Spies v Mercs mode.

If it's $15 or something, I could see myself getting it because the concept is cool, but it's also such a small-scale concept that I fail to see substantial value in it.

We literally have no information on the game...

I would absolutely love to see what Kojima would do with a new IP. I mean, the last one we got was ZoE right?

It's a new generation, give me new IPs that aren't rehashes of the same old shit.
