We were trying to figure that out in the thread. The answer seems to be "not exactly, but there are some similarities."

The big picture is that you do the AR thing, but to earn the film for the AR thing, you explore some environments and help out some characters. I don't expect it to be as great and definitely not as expansive as the original game was, but I think the spirit will be there.

Skim the thread I linked, should be helpful. We found several gameplay videos. Demo will be out today too.

Apparently it's like the GC game but with AR elements on as well.
Also, do we know how much is Bravely Default is gonna cost?
Was thinking of buying a $50 eShop card and buying BD along with Chibi Robo with it assuming BD costs $40.

Meh. The sooner they put out SMB3 the sooner I have to get annoyed trying to decide which platform to buy it on.

Also, is it just me or does input lag make SMW virtually unplayable on the gamepad?

Does anyone know what the upgrade fee on PCE and MSX games is? If you browse to one on Nintendo's website just points to an image that only shows FC/SFC but I was wondering if that was a mistake and Konami was actually charging full price for everyone or if that image wasn't updated.

Also, I'm out of the loop on VC releases. Has Super Mario Bros 3 released in the US yet on either 3DS or Wii U?? Thanks!

I don't know how long they will stay effective today but I just bought DuckTales Remastered for the reduced price about an hour ago.
Edit: I'm in Europe btw.

I think they usually last until the store update (which should be in 45 minutes in the US?). SMB3 hasn't been released yet in the US.

They may be trying to weed out hacked Pokemon transfers from DS games, as that was a reported loophole, when it was first released.

I doubt it. The GTS and online battles already reject impossible Pokemon (like Magikarp with Volt Tackle or whatever), so if they cared, they'd have implemented that to Pokemon Bank in the first place. It's impossible to tell the difference between legit and hacked "possible" Pokemon, so there's nothing to be done about that. Not that anyone should care anyway.

It is very possible in a number of cases. There is no way to get a legit Sheer Force Feraligatr end of. But Bank allows you to transfer one regardless because the only check it seems to do is EVs<=510. But banning that instance would mean you have to do maintenance and unban it whenever it got a legit release which would presumably allow you to transfer it so I guess it is futile but it just seems lazy really.

considering how barren is their lineup, it really bothers me how they are missing the opportunity to put GC games on the VC
I'd buy a Baten Kaitos collection day one.

It's been ages since 3D Classics Urban Champion was offered, so maybe that? I just expect the worst each month, fewer disappointments that way.

SMB3 came out in Europe and Japan the same week and ALTTP came out in Europe already IDK about Japan.

It makes zero sense for those games to not be out in NA outside of NOA being stupid.

Sigh... I really should have traded my coins for Link's Awakening when it was up....

Complaining to Nintendo would make more of a difference than complaining about Nintendo and neither will make a difference.

But feel free to complain anyway. Nintendo does enough things worth complaining about.

The Wii U VC needs another "Earthbound." A game that gets everyone excited, or at least interested. Perhaps something niche? Perhaps an import?

Bring on the Soul Blazer trilogy, for example, with a localized Terranigma for the West (similar to how Europe got EB for the first time).

Do something.

Wouldn't be Nintendo's call. Square-Enix has had decent Japanese VC support for months, and did support the Wii VC (albeit a bit late) but they can't pull their shit together for North America for whatever reason.
