That doesn't make the music good. Lots of things try to be funny and aren't.

The music isn't good ..but it's perfectly matched with what it's trying to convey.

Another example is the art city theme in suikoden 5 ... it's an awefull theme that matches perfectly with the city ( because the city design was made horrible on purpose )

The comedy music in time and eternity is exactly that. The goal isn't to laugh .. it's a string of bad jokes and stupid situations that aren't meant to be funny ( that's why the dragon or the heroine is calling the situation weird most times )

Oh jeez. If I had more time I'd post a semi-defense of the chronicles soundtrack; basically, if you look at the trailers and other prerelease media it's apparent that the entire soundtrack was scrapped at the 11th hour, most likely due to licensing bullshit with the band Dreams Come True.

Not the good ones. See Earthbound and MOTHER 3 for the best examples of this, especially MOTHER 3 since the songs even affect the gameplay.

I think the worst thing to me is not the terrible music like Sonic but the generic, 'epic' music. So many game soundtracks opting for that God of War-like sound just came away with the least memorable music I can recall despite hiring incredibly talented orchestras and artists.

Now this is just depressing. Who'd have thought that a sequel to YOSHI'S MOTHERFLIPPIN' ISLAND would have such dull music...

Also, I'd say that the Street Fighter 4 series of games have really, really unmemorable soundtracks, and Street Fighter X Tekken crosses the line (hehe) into just plain bad. The only noteworthy song in any of those games is INDESTRUCTIBLE, and it's only in vanilla SF4.
