Amazing news if this comes to the West. I bought the first one very recently, and I love what I've played so far. I'd definitely be willing to pick up this collection, and give my copy of AA1 to someone else who has yet to be introduced to the series. I'm really happy - a Mega Man Zero-esque collection is exactly what I was longing for with this series.

Chances are strong for an Nintendo e-shop release given the English text. The Japanese Greatest Hits releases contained English text so they're using them. Sucks for the region locking, however.

I wonder what their Capcom e-shop edition will be. Godot figure to match Wright and Edgeworth (still need this one!)? Would be great!

As for the voice clips, didn't Ben Judd do them in 1-3? And then he left. Probably why he didn't do DD (can't comment much since I haven't played it yet).

I'm really curious what will happen here. If Capcom self publish and put in on the eShop (ala Ace Attorney 5) it is a problem in Europe. I believe NOE did (and owns) the FIGS translation hence its absence from the iOS release and while I don't have any use for the translation people would be upset at its absence.

Maybe we'll get a re-release of AA4 after AA6 comes out. I've always felt that the series is two trilogies (AA1-3 and AA4-6) and two spin-offs. (AAI 1, AAI 2, and PW VS PL)

But yeah. People need to buy these things in the United States. Every time you didn't buy the shit out of SSF43D and MH3U on the 3DS.. you damaged the case for these games to make it here. Spend your entire paychecks on Capcom stuff on the 3DS, people!

I'm pretty sure there will be all 5 languages in this version, if it's release in Europe. Nintendo has no reason to say no, as opposed to the smartphone version : it's for their own console, not some competitor's platform.

Personally, I'm absolutely delighted. Looks like Christian Svensson death wish actually came true! I'm expecting an eShop-only release in the West, with each game sold separately, though I'll buy whatever comes out in Europe
It'd be cool if Level-5 could do the same with the Layton series.... would make for a nice christmas release in the west! I still haven't played them, but new copies of those games are waaay too expensive, so I'd rather have a compilation or something.
Too bad Kamiya won't be voicing Godot in that drama CD!

Awesome timing, I was just looking for used copies of the first games on DS so I could get into the series (unfortunately the visual novel aspect of the dialogue doesn't really fit an iphone), they've gotten a little expensive here.
Then I got excited when I read it would have english text.
Then I remember the 3DS is region locked.

I really think Capcom need to start including Apollo Justice in these things. I know it's the black sheep since it's the only one made specifically for DS and has a new protagonist, but it leads right into Dual Destinies and I think it should be just as available as the original trilogy.

Regardless, if we get this re-release retail, I'd definitely buy it. Looking forward to seeing what the 3D does to the game
