He's been known as a mechanical genius since Sonic Adventure 2. He makes inventions and gadgets. Hell, Tails was rockin' the gamepad before Nintendo made their own.
Also, in Sonic X he sometimes pulled a screwdriver out of his ass. XD

pff.. again? Sorry, i know there are fans, but i've given up hope for Sonic games. Maybe the core mechanics are just not good enough to be enjoyable. Ofcourse it's a great Mascotte.

Not for you. And yes there are fans. For me the core mechanics of the past games are extremely enjoyable.
Thank you. Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 was Sonic Adventure 3 (and it was also as bad as the other two Sonic Adventure games) lol.
I hope for a bright future for the franchise, therefore I hope for Sonic Colors 2, Sonic Generations 2 or something entirely new that doesn't suck.
My Sonic Cycle is acting up again. Especially with all these Sonic Adventure 3 mock ups.

This is how they mess up lots of Sonic titles. Take something that's perfectly fine and add weird junk to it until it becomes an abomination.

I'll never understand what made Sega think that they had to target a very specific and young group of people with Sonic. The Genesis Sonic, even though he was marketed as being edgy, appealed to everyone much like Mario. And his games were very successful then. So, why change that? Nintendo's never changed Mario from being a series of games that's designed for everyone. And as a result they've continued to create a franchise that not only reviews better than any other platformer by a wide margin, but it also sells more than any other platformer. They managed to do that because they never narrowed their target audience like Sega has.

2010 was already the renaissance for Sonic. It was the year we got Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing and Sonic Colours. We've had a bit of a blip recently with Lost World, but that's something that can easily be recovered from. The fact that Sega actually bothered to patch Lost World to remove the gamepad bullshit for the wisps and add a life for every 100 rings means they're listening. It was obviously too late to save that game, but the fact they're listening probably means they won't make the same mistakes with the next game. I will no doubt get hyped as soon as the next game gets properly announced/shown.

There are mods that basically fulfill that function.
Also the closest thing to sonic adventure 3, would be unleashed. So yeah.

Random fact (well we had the golden ratio before). Sonic colours codename was Sonic 2010 (you would think after Sonic 2006 they would avoid such things), my source is the title of the game disc (since these are not seen by consumers there are interesting things like Party pack for revolution).
While I don't share your vitriol, I seriously NEVER understood the desire for another Adventure game. Did people really not get enough of the hub world and hodgepodge character focused game play after Sonic 06, which was in fact a game with a lot of Adventure's design?
Go for a bigger/tighter Unleashed, Colors or Generations or go full hog and fix the Lost World design please. The Adventure games were fun for the time, but it's time to let go.

I agree. The only half decent things the games did are things that have since been improved with better games. The things that were not good, which was the vast majority of the games, were really fucking bad. Sonic Adventure was the start of the downward spiral for Sonic. It got even worse in SA2 when you couldn't even choose to just play through the Sonic story and actually made the treasure hunting and mech shooting stages even worse. Absolute torture. You couldn't pay me to play through those games again.

In a world where kick starter exists, that isn't for you to decide really.
Also I just want generations with 4 different characters with different ways of navigating levels. The to prospect of time slowdown/freeze shadow the hedgehog puzzles is too hype.
