I guess that is where the 5 minutes speed run comes from, skip cutscenes, go to main objective, beat game.
So basically the further back in time the game is set the better it is?I love that quote lol.
13 minutes? I've taken shits for longer than that.

Although MGS2 is my favorite.
Its a timeline, not a comparison of game quality.
and who the fuck are they?
Never played an MGS game all the way through. (Dabbled with MGS1 and 2.) Is this the entry point for people new to the franchise?
might as well dive in with ground zeroes and just read what's in the backstory tab on the menu screenNever played an MGS game all the way through. (Dabbled with MGS1 and 2.) Is this the entry point for people new to the franchise?

I think Kojima has stated many times that MGS1 is his favourite and that he wouldn't change much or anything about it

How long were Deus Ex and Thief: The Dark Project demoes if you didn't rush them?
Sorry no,
MGS3 -> PW -> GZ + TPP
GZ is a direct epilogue to Peace Walker which was a direct sequel to 3
If you absolutely can't do MGS1 > 2 > 3 > 4 > PW > GZ + TPP
Even MG1 and MG2 will probably factor into TPP in some way.
PO is the direct sequel to 3, no?
Yes, but it's status as canon is pretty much null at this point, so we tend to forget about it.
I love that quote lol.
what, this real? What's the story behind this?

The demo for XIII-2 took me about an hour and a half. GZ shortest full retail game in this gen and last?
If you had been paying attention it's the chronological order.

It's the timeline of the series, but it's being used completely out of that context in this thread.
It's also true from a gameplay perspective too.

I don't think it's being used out of context. I think it just works both ways for a lot of people.
Just because PO is out of the picture as a canon doesn't mean PW is a direct sequel to MGS3

PW is more the direct sequel though,
Snake's progression to Big Boss due to MGS3's events(wasn't a big deal in PO),plays a somewhat major roll and gets alot of additional development through some audio tapes, major development of the Patriots, etc.The Boss
MGS1 isn't better than 2 gameplay wise
Kojima has posted a bunch of pics on twitter of NA/EU media folks playing through the game at some sort of event.

yeah.. he wanted to post more pictures.. but the people where finished with the game before the flash on his camera recharged.
saw the thread was bumped and expected GI to revise it to "under an hour"
