To top it off, I just ordered a Razer Mamba to play all my new games with!

not really was part of the sale? IDK but Clickr looks very interesting ;o
It was at I think 15% off during the sale. Added to wishlist anyway.
Edit: Going on the community boards it seems there is a lite flash version so I guess thats where the demo is. One thing if you do decide to go in. apparently it can be very tough:

As to the original post, that's pretty much my review. I love the presentation of this game and it's really fun, but it is very, very difficult. I wouldn't call it a casual game at all - it requires a lot of thinking and strategising in order to succeed, not to mention superhuman dexterity on the mouse. Some might say that's a good thing; it certainly has me hooked.

All of these deals are now officially dead in the water. The sale is FINALLY over. :D
Cue the celestial choir.

So happy.

I had to trick myself into not touching a computer so I didn't grab several more indie packs.

Grotesque Tactics is my sleeper hit, of everything I bought in this sale.

It has that tactical JRPG feel, which is sorely lacking on the PC.

I think I spent more this year than last. This also pushed my game count over 100. :D

Command and Conquer 3 - $7.49
Company of Heroes - $2.49
F.E.A.R. - $4.99
Jedi Knight: MotS - $1.49
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - $5.10
Project Snowblind - $4.99
Red Alert 3 - $4.99
RUSH - $1.69
Super Meat Boy - $3.75
Witcher Enhanced Edition Director's Cut - $5.00
Zeno Clash - $3.75

Total: $45.73

On a side note, if anyone is still looking to spend money, GoG and Telltale's holiday sales are still going.

I showed alot of constraint this year. My only purchases were Mass Effect 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2 Platinum. Also picked up The Witcher on amazon.com.

Hope you like it too. My girlfriend sat and watched me play for the first 5 hours or so and then I pulled one of those be right there honey moves but couldn't stop playing.

It's surprisingly fun (and deep) and the only way I even knew about it is I saw it at TRU for the DS and we thought the concept sounded interesting.

I'm glad Grandpa porked a Chinese Muslim
My final tally:

Silent Hunter Collection $13.59
GTA IV Complete Bundle $10
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 $4.99
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising $4.99

I have terrible bandwidth being on DSL so I'm still chugging through the GTA IV download. I'm afraid to play Silent Hunter 3 because its menus cause something in my case to emit a high pitched whine that nobody in the gaming questions thread seems to know about. I didn't feel like reading the instructions or playing any tutorials, so my first game consisted of me driving my u-boat straight into a convoy while surfaced and consequently getting blown up. I did manage to blow up a few ships at least. Never could quite figure out how to activate the periscope the one time I did dive.

Looking forward to the C&Cs though. I haven't really played one since Red Alert 2 and Generals. Generals ran like crap on my PC at the time though.

Hey PC GAF. A bunch of my steam games are giving me the same .dll error.

d3dx9_42 not found.

I've installed every DX redist I can find. From the effected game files to the ones straight from Microsoft. No dice.

I'm on a 3 day old W7 install. Is my whole install corrupt?

I picked up:

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light ~€5.11 (gift exchange)
Darksiders €7.50
RUSH €1.52
Mirror's Edge €2.49
Sid Meier's Pirates! €2.49
CivCity: Rome €0.99
The Witcher Enhanced Edition €0.99

Total: €21.09. Less than I expected to spend. Was hoping for a better price on Dragon Age. Also skipped a bunch of games because of the idiotic DRM, including Batman.

Favorite of the bunch would have to be Lara Croft, an absolute steal at €5.

Hate to ask this question in an unrelated topic, but... would anyone know what he used to stream the game to people + allow the people to view the video and talk to him without having any kind of echo going on?

And I got Bloodlines out of this sale, although it wasn't on sale... so, I'm happy. :D

Also, K.Jack, I see you have Front Mission Evolved. I'm somewhat interested in that game, as I love mechs. Would you recommend it?

I think he was just talking to some friends on Skype while playing. Pretty sure they weren't watching him play.

I enjoy it. The Wanzers have a nice weighty feel, and the weapons have good sound and feeling of impact, especially the Bazookas. The 3rd person segments aren't Mass Effect 2, but they are far from bad.

The story is B-Grade JRPG stuff. It's mediocre. Fortunately the voice acting is done well enough.

The boss fights go on a little too long.

I'd give it a solid 70-75% rating.

I recommend buying the game around $15, at a time when the DLC weapons are on sale. I'm not even mad about buying it at $45 and will definitely play it more than once.

Currently playing through Half Life for the first time.

I'm floored. I am seriously stunned at how good it is considering it is 13 years old.

I played it back in 98 or something. I'm holding out for Black Mesa for a replay of HL1 since I've waited this long.
